The Anglo-Palestinian mandate bank continued its marketing practice under Israel until 1952 then it turned to be the Israeli Bank Leumi (Israeli National Bank). <br />The Arabs rejected the name "Palestine" and saw it as Judeo-Christian foreign name which has no connection to the Islamic belief, and even contradict it.<br />In early days of Israel she had abandoned the use of Palestine in connection to hers own being and that term had been left to the use and manipulation of the Arabs. It took for the Arabs in geographic Palestine to call themselves "Palestinians" or "Palestinian people". It’s a new terminology that was created because the absence of any other terminology and the neglecting of that term by the Jews. Only from early 80th and then the Arab Palestinians slowly adopted fully the name "Palestinians" for themselves.
