BP Needs a Bigger Oil Tanker

It'd be a comedy of errors by this point, if it weren't so tragic: BP is collecting so much oil from the leaking well in the Gulf of Mexico that it does not have a large enough boat to store it, according to The Wall Street Journal. In the 24-hour period ending midnight Monday, BP collected 14,800 barrels of oil—which means that scientists' recent guess that the well is leaking between 12,000 and 19,000 barrels a day is too low. BP now plans to deal with the excess oil by burning it. The Associated Press says it will use a device called an "EverGreen Burner," which burns oil and gas without creating smoke.
