Who is Jared Lee Loughner?

Not only gun rights, but new "hate speech" laws, violations of privacy laws, and increased targeting by DHS.

If the shooter turns out to be an illegal immigrant, those same media outlets will paint the person as a victim of his circumstances and gloss over the “elephant in the room” that is the lack of real security at our nation’s borders.

If the shooter turns out to be an Islamic extremist, they will downplay his religious affiliations and spin the Muslim shooter’s actions as criminal but not an act of terrorism.

Of course, other possibilities exist.

Fiery Jihadist Warns DHS to Stop Counter Terror

Fiery Bomber Warns DHS Napolitano to Stop Counter Terror Measures Against Jihad

So the bomber who sent those three explosive packages this week wants our counter terror measures to cease. Huh. The mail bombs, mailed to DHS's Napolitano and the Maryland Governor, ignited when they were opened, singeing the fingers of two state workers. The Napolitano package wasn't opened, and was discovered when it began popping and smoking. It emitted "a brief flash of fire" before extinguishing itself.

Two of the packages, one at a state building half a block from the State House in Annapolis and another at the Department of Transportation, exploded after employees opened them. One of the packages was addressed to Gov. Martin O'Malley, the other to the Secretary of Transportation.

The bomber is just following the Obama lefty line of 'thinking' that if you piss the jihadis off, then they will come after you. Just as Imam Rauf contemptuously warned us that the jihadis would explode if we didn't build the Ground Zero mosque: "It's my duty as an American Muslim to stand between you, the American non-Muslim and the radicals trying to attack you." Yeah, right. Just like this guy.

Funny how they keep the motive of the bomber from the newscycle until Saturday. Who are they protecting?

Fiery package addressed to Homeland Security chief Yahoo

WASHINGTON – First, fiery packages sent to top officials in Maryland were opened, revealing an angry message complaining of the state's terrorism tip line. Then, a mailing addressed to the nation's homeland security chief ignited with a similar flash of fire and smoke at a D.C. postal processing facility.

While authorities have not said if the latest parcel contained a note, they did say the three packages were alike. The targeting of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano also seemed to echo anger expressed by the mailer of the first two.

Napolitano launched a nationwide "see something, say something" campaign in July, and her recorded voice can be heard in Washington-area subway stations, reminding commuters to report suspicious behavior. The program expanded last month to include more than 230 Walmarts across the country.

The Maryland packages had an explicit message, railing against highway signs urging motorists to report suspicious activity by calling a toll-free number. The message read: "Report suspicious activity! Total Bull----! You have created a self fulfilling prophecy."

Authorities fear there could be more packages.

"We've got to make sure we go after this person and get them off the street and get them behind bars, because these kinds of things are very, very dangerous," Maryland State Police Col. Terrence Sheridan said. "We just don't know where this person is going with this. We don't know who it is. We don't know what they're thinking right now."

In Maryland, the packages ignited when they were opened, singeing the fingers of two state workers. At the D.C. facility, the package wasn't opened and was discovered when it began popping and smoking. It emitted "a brief flash of fire" before extinguishing itself, D.C. Police Chief Cathy Lanier said. No one was injured.

The D.C. package was addressed to Napolitano, according to a department official who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of an ongoing investigation. The parcel ignited in northeast Washington about 2:45 p.m.

The earlier packages, addressed to O'Malley and to Transportation Secretary Beverley Swaim-Staley, have been taken to the FBI lab in Quantico, Va., for forensic analysis, and Lanier said the D.C. package would also be sent there.

The Maryland mailings were opened within a 15-minute period Thursday at buildings 20 miles apart. Mailroom employees around the state were back at work Friday, and they had pictures of the packages and were advised to be vigilant about anything suspicious.

WH Using Taxpayer Funds to Subvert USA

We are under siege from within. Any doubts? Read on.

Myriad government agencies are poised to participate in White House workshops designed to provide US taxpayer dollars to Islamic supremacist groups. On January 27 and 28, 2010, there was a two day meeting between DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano and Arab, Muslim, Sikh, and South Asian “community leaders.” Several of the individuals and organizations represented had controversial radical ties, including the Marxist-Leninist terrorist group Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Hezbollah, Hamas, and others.

Ongoing infiltration: following up on these meetings were workshops in August:

"The goal is to provide the leaders of groups associated with the parent organization of Hamas and Al Qaeda (Muslim Brotherhood) with tips on cutting through “red tape” when seeking U.S. government access or money. In all 20 national Muslim groups with ties to the global Islamist organization that preaches Jihad are scheduled to participate. Their mission is to obtain cash and other resources from Uncle Sam."

While the U.S. government has kept the event quiet, it was announced in a newsletter by a Saudi-funded group (Islamic Society of North America or ISNA) that was a co-conspirator in a federal terrorist funding case a few years ago.

Kareem Shora, Senior Policy adviser, Department of Homeland Security, gathered stealth jihadists. Atlas readers are familiar with Shora. Back in 2007, I reported here that Shora (then legal adviser for the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee) derided an NYPD report on home grown terrorism: "findings faulty and potentially inflammatory." Now he is at the senior level of DHS. The report identified mosques, bookstores, cafes, prisons and flop houses as what it called "radicalization incubators" that provide "extremist fodder or fuel for radicalization."

Included in these deeply disturbing meetings was Arif Alikhan, another Hamas-linked, CAIR pick and supremacist sympathizer. As deputy mayor of Los Angeles, Alikhan was instrumental in removing the terror tracking plan in LA.
