Judge Files Complaint against Merkel over Bin Laden Comments Speigel

Schadenfreude, the enjoyment of others' suffering, may be a famously German concept, but it is apparently not a feeling that many Germans aspire to. The political and public fallout following Chancellor Angela Merkel's statement on Monday that she was "glad" Osama bin Laden had been killed was among the most hotly debated topics in the German media this week.
Politicians, including those within her own center-right coalition, said that no death was cause for celebration, and reproved the remark as un-Christian and vengeful.

But Hamburg judge Heinz Uthmann went even further. He alleges that the chancellor's statement was nothing short of illegal, and filed a criminal complaint against Merkel midweek, the daily Hamburger Morgenpost reported Friday.

"I am a law-abiding citizen and as a judge, sworn to justice and law," the 54-year-old told the paper, adding that Merkel's words were "tacky and undignified."

In his two-page document, Uthmann, a judge for 21 years, cites section 140 of the German Criminal Code, which forbids the "rewarding and approving" of crimes. In this case, Merkel endorsed a "homicide," Uthmann claimed. The violation is punishable by up to three years' imprisonment or a fine.

"For the daughter of a Christian pastor, the comment is astonishing and at odds with the values of human dignity, charity and the rule of law," Uthmann told the newspaper.

A Sober German Reaction

While the judge's reaction may seem extreme, his sentiments are apparently shared by 64 percent of the German population. That was the proportion of Germans who said bin Laden's death was "no reason to rejoice" in a poll published by broadcaster ARD on Friday.

Among respondents who said they identified with Germany's three main opposition parties, an even greater proportion were disgusted with the jubilation over the al-Qaida leader's death. Their views mirror recent comments made by opposition politicians on the issue.


But even among supporters of Merkel's conservative Christian Democrats (CDU) and their junior coalition partners, the pro-business Free Democrats (FDP), barely half of those polled said they empathized with Merkel's view.

And Islamic fanatics have posted threatening internet messages.

Sila, raised in Germany by conservative Turkish parents, says she fears being "spat at" and "shamed".

Her parents are said to have reacted with "horror" at the 12-page coverage, and her mother has apparently cut off all contact.

Sila, 25 - star of German soap Good Times, Bad Times - claimed the shoot was a reaction to the "slavery" of her youth.

She added: "What I want to say with these photos is, 'Girls, we don't have to live according to the rules imposed upon us'.

"For years I subordinated myself to various societal constraints. The Playboy photo shoot was a total act of liberation."

But Islamic internet sites are being monitored by the BND - the German intelligence agency - after threats were posted about her "shaming Muslim womanhood" and "prostituting herself for money".

A kebab shop owner, asked on German TV what he would do if Sila were his daughter, replied: "I would kill her. I really mean that. That doesn't fit with my culture."

Germany Charges Muslim Seditionists

German authorities on Tuesday mounted raids against two Islamist groups suspected of seeking to overthrow the government and establish a religious state, the Interior Ministry said.

The searches targeted homes and religious schools linked to Salafist jihadist group Invitation to Paradise (EZP) in the northwestern cities of Braunschweig and Mönchengladbach, and the Islamic Cultural Center Bremen (IKZB) in northern German port.

"The EZP and the IKZB are accused of opposing the constitutional order with the aim of replacing it in Germany with an Islamic religious state," the ministry said in a statement.

The raids were part of a long-running investigation against the groups and had no link to warnings of potential impending terrorist attacks issued last month by Interior Minister Thomas de Maizière, it added.

The groups reject parliamentary democracy and believe that Islamic law should replace the constitution, the ministry said.

"In a well-fortified democracy it is advisable and necessary not to wait for jihad in the form of an armed struggle before taking action against anti-constitutional groups," the ministry said.

The raids will show whether or not government suspicions about the groups can be confirmed, it added.

A security official told news agency the Associated Press that officials had searched dozens of private homes, religious schools, a small publisher, and a store owned by EZP that sells traditional caftans and veils.

Meanwhile an EZP leader in Mönchengladbach condemned the raid, the news agency said.

"We're sad about this raid, we haven't done anything illegal," Sven Lau said.

But the leader of the anti-Salafist initiative “Citizens for Mönchengladbach” told AP his group welcomed the searches.

"We are happy that the Interior Ministry moved so fast against them and hope that it won't take much longer until the group will be banned altogether," Wilfried Schultz said.

Residents in Mönchengladbach have held frequent protests against attempts to build a religious school there by the Salafist group, whose strict Islamist ideology has been linked to several terrorist plots.

Their message has been particularly appealing to young Muslim immigrants and converts, the news agency reported.

Immigrants in German schools

“When it’s Ramadan, there’s a state of emergency. The last time it went so far, that they spit in our food,” says the home-economics teacher. “People always say that foreigners are discriminated, but here it’s precisely the other way around.” A Lebanese Arabic teacher says that the German way of living is very clearly being rejected by his students, the attitude is almost chic.

Muslims Assault and Intimidate German Students

Islam in Europe Two teachers from a Kreuzberg (Berlin) school recently wrote in the GEW Teachers’ Union paper of the anti-German harassment some German students experience in schools. They wrote that German students are threatened and bullied, and that the non-German students often receive help from relatives or friends in conflicts.

Berlin youth coach Oliver Lück says such incidents happen every day.

• Dennis (14) from Reinickendorf was pushed around and beaten. They (Muslims) could do whatever they wanted with him, and he had to pay protection money to the older foreign students. In the end, he couldn’t take it anymore and thought of suicide. Finally, his parents helped him.

• Lena (15) from Schöneberg – a confident teen, she died her head red and wore black clothes. When she came to the school, she was a foreigner among the other girls, who wore a headscarf. The girls whispered about her, they laughed at her and caller her the ‘fire alarm’. Lena began to smoke, and later started up with alcohol and harder drugs.

• Kevin (16) from Neukölln – There were hardly any Germans in his school. The Arab guys provoked him, first with insults, then tripped him and pushed him. At some point, he fought back, and found himself facing twelve boys, relatives of the attackers, who beat him up. From that point on he started dressing like his tormentors and imitating their language. He wasn’t beaten up anymore, but had to run errands for the others.

• Domitian E. was harassed because I speak German,” says Domitian. ”Altogether we were 29 students in the class, and besides me there was only one other German student,” he says. “The rest were mainly Arabs and Turks.”





From the first few days he was discriminated against, harassed and insulted. They cursed him behind his back since he came from a ‘smart’ school, and that his classmates often accosted him in groups, asking him why he didn’t speak like they did. His classmates spoke “Kanake German” (German with a foreign accent and foreign terms). Domitian says he didn’t want to speak that way. He avoid the other students and tried not to respond to them. Eventually, he avoided school and became increasingly sick.

German Police Shut Down 9/11 Planning Mosque

German police have shut down the Hamburg mosque where the 9/11 hijackers met before their suicide attacks on the US in 2001. What took so long?

Every one of the 15,803 Islamic attacks since 911 has the imprimatur of an Islamic cleric. Every act of jihad is in the service of allah. And behind every act of jihad, there is a mosque.

Gary Berntsen, a Republican hoping to unseat Sen. Chuck Schumer, told Capitol Confidential earlier this month, "Militants are using these mosques. They are using front organizations against us. The mosques and Islamic centers that are listed were at one time home to radical clerics or to conspirators in a terrorism-related investigation, or had other connections to radical individuals or terrorist organizations.

Police said they believed the Taiba mosque was again being used as a meeting point for extremists.

The cultural association that runs the mosque has also been banned.

A German intelligence report last year said radical Muslims had travelled to military training camps in Uzbekistan after associating at the mosque.

"We have closed the mosque because it was a recruiting and meeting point for Islamic radicals who wanted to participate in so-called jihad or holy war," said Frank Reschreiter, a spokesman for Hamburg's state interior ministry.

He said 20 police officers had been searching the building and had confiscated material, including several computers, the Associated Press reported.

The study, which involved intensive questioning of 45,000 teenagers from 61 towns and regions across the country, was conducted by Christian Pfeiffer of the criminal research institute of Lower Saxony.

Pfeiffer was quick to assure the Süddeutsche Zeitung newspaper that he was not a racist or ‘Islamophobe’ and that, in fact, he had been dismayed by the results of the survey.
Pfeiffer’s work took into account the level of education and standard of living in the families of the children — aged between 14 and 16 — who were questioned. He also asked them how religious they considered themselves, and how integrated they felt in Germany.

Pfeiffer said that even when other social factors were taken into account, there remained a significant correlation between religiosity and readiness to use violence. There were some positive correlations too he said, noting that young religious Muslims were much less likely than their non-Muslim counterparts to drink alcohol – or to steal from shops. The increased likelihood to use violence was restricted to Muslim boys, Pfeiffer said – Muslim girls were only as likely to be violent as non-Muslim girls.

A woman identified by the news service as “Dorothee H.” said that officials told her she could not display the Israeli flag at an information booth she wanted to set up. Pro-Israelis previously have been threatened and attacked by anti-Zionist protestors in Germany.

“I told him that I could not understand this, and that we were not at all dangerous,” Dorothee H. said, but the city official said the booth could be set up only on condition that no Israeli flags were shown. The unnamed official told her that she had to be “considerate” of others.

Dorothee charged that “the employees of the public order told me that all the political information booths will be automatically reported to the national security. This is absurd. You expect the authorities to guarantee freedom of expression, rather than restricting them.”

“A supporter of the group's claim added, "If somebody attacked the activists, the state must just intervene protectively."

Victimization of Jewish Families in Germany

We have come so far again. In Berlin — and certainly not just there –German Jews are again being bullied and harassed for their faith. This time the persecution is coming from an antisemitic Muslim mob that is being permitted to spread itself unhindered around our country, under the protective hand of the Red/Green multiculti charlatans. And in the absence of ruse, they feel entitled to carry out any act of insolence.

Due to suspicion of agitation of the people, the police are investigating into youth whose identities are still unknown. The father of a family registered a complaint around 6:50 in the evening that a number of youth and children of Turkish and Arab origin were throwing snowballs at the windows of his apartment. When the complaint was received, the father remarked that his whole family had been bullied and offended for some time because of their Jewish faith. The children and youth who supposedly before have thrown stones also come from either the same neighborhood or school as the victimized children.

65 years after Auschwitz, and the quiet persecution of the Jews is yet again common practice. Ever and often, one hears of Jewish children exiting schools in general, especially in heavily Muslim regions, because the teachers are incapable of protecting them from the aggressions of the antisemitic immigrants who are stirred up against the Jews by mosques, families, and Arab/Turkish TV and radio shows shown among them. Press reports about this are rare because they would place the generally desired image of the good immigrant on a dangerously slippery slope. Furthermore, Islamic antisemitism is being shared by broad cross-sections of the German left. Such is the political climate in Germany, where the Muslim mob feels they are entitled to harass and insult Jews.
