Everybody in the Middle East wants Ahmadinejad dead before he gets the A-bomb. Back in 2001 the American defense establishment convinced George Bush the Iraqis could nuke Britain into submission in 45 minutes. In response, the US invaded Iraq but forgot about the threat to the UK. Instead, the Americans killed a million Iraqis to extort an oil concession from them. This was a strong indication the US military worked for the big oil companies.
Generally speaking, radioactive oilfields are too hot to be productive.

Bad Actors in the Automotive Drama

There are too many bad actors in the automotive drama. Corrupt managers control the Big3. In the late 1990's they sank $1 billion into the development and testing of the EV. They delivered prototypes in California to upscale consumers and trend setters. The EV cars proved superior in every way to gasoline models.
The new autos were pricey primarily because GM included the anticipated fuel savings into the price of the car. It was very unpopular with big oil, as it would have cut the demand for petroleum products. When an alternative comes along, the cost at the pump 'magically' drops. When the Administration suffered from high gas prices, big oil answered the challenge with price reductions. If the Obama Administration seriously pursues alternative power sources, gas and heating oil costs will plummet.
The $700 billions bail out did not encourage the banks to extend credit to consumers and to small businesses. Thus, consumer durable goods markets declined. The drop in demand coupled with a dry up in working capital has led to big lay-offs, a higher unemployment rate and a marked increase in pessimism among consumers and producers.

The Real News

Thousands of Mexicans took to the streets of Mexico City on Sunday to protest an oil reform bill they say would lead to the privatization of the country's state-run oil company. Led by opposition lawmaker Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, the demonstrators expressed their displeasure with plans to look for private capital to help fund the expansion of Pemex, Mexico's national oil company.

Professor Gustavo Indart of the University of Toronto specializes in the study of economic reform in Latin America.

VOICEOVER: Thousands demonstrated on the streets of Mexico City on Sunday in protest against Mexican President Filipe Calderón's recent oil reform bill. Led by opposition lawmaker Andrés Manuel López Obrador, protesters rallied against the bill, which would allow the government's state oil company, Petróleas Mexicanos, or PEMEX, to seek foreign help to boost sagging production. Obrador and his supporters view this as a move toward privatization and a threat to national sovereignty.

ANDRÉS MANUEL LÓPEZ OBRADOR, PARTY OF THE DEMOCRATIC REVOLUTION (SUBTITLED TRANSLATION): We are willing to take the consequences of the political fallout if by that we can prevent the privatization of oil.

VOICEOVER: Mexico's constitution bars most outside involvement in its nationalized oil industry.

GUSTAVO INDART, CENTER FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDIES: The oil industry in Mexico is something that most Mexicans feel very strongly about. To many it's the symbol of the revolution. The oil industry was nationalized in the early 1930s. That certainly created a sentiment of more independence, particularly from the US. And this sentiment certainly has continued over time. So the privatization of Pemex certainly would be very difficult to do directly. What could be done and has been done with other industries is to start step by step in order not to create very large negative reaction all at once. When we see these demonstrations that are being organized by López Obrador certainly has great support, but not as much as would be expected.


VOICEOVER: Professor Indart added that as President Calderón's privatization agenda becomes clearer, it is likely more people will protest his oil reform.

Big Oil Weakens Terror Victim Bill

The New York Times — Top executives of American oil companies met privately over the last year with Libya’s leader, Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi, as they lined up contracts allowing them to tap into the country’s oil reserves. Now the Libyan government and the American oil industry are working Capitol Hill, with help from the Bush administration, in an effort to bypass a law allowing victims of state-sponsored terrorism to collect court judgments by seizing foreign assets in the United States or money from those governments held by American companies doing business with them.

Hillary and Barack are Lying about Iraq

Saddam Hussein was a bad boy. He murdered every month of his regime 1000 to 1500 innocent civilians. Worse for the Americans, he wanted to nationalize his oil production and to quit using the dollar as the medium for exchange.

Under several false flags, the USA invaded Iraq in an illegal preemptive war that increased the civilian death toll by a factor of ten or perhaps twenty [15,000 to 30,000 per month]. Nobody knows for sure, because all the parties fudged the body count. Nevertheless, five millions Iraqis abandoned their homes going into internal exile or getting out of the country altogether. [It’s called voting with your feet.]

The citizens did even worse voting at the ballot box. Their elected officials accepted bribes to pressure for privatization of the oil production and to allow continued American presence.

Sixty percent of Iraqis favor killing every American they see. Seventy percent of them want the US completely out of Iraq quickly. Eighty percent want sovereignty over their oil.

The US public and leadership comprehend little or nothing of this. They see Iraqis as a sub-human species that doesn’t bleed or mourn the deaths of loved ones. Otherwise, they would be Hillary monsters.
