January 4: We are witnessing one of those watershed moments in history: Ivory Coast is about to toggle from a (mostly) Christian country to a Muslim country. The winner of the election is a Muslim — the head of the Muslim rebel forces in the north of the country — and the loser is a non-Muslim. Ivory Coast is on the verge of officially joining the Ummah.

Shameless Muslims Use Anne Frank to Promote GZMosque

They have no shame. None.

The latest sell on the Ground Zero mega mosque is that the Anne Frank museum will be going in next door in Mr. Rauf's neighborhood.

Funny how the Islamic supremacists say the Ground Zero mosque is not near Ground Zero, but the Anne Frank museum is next door.

So it is vile for the media (or whoever is behind this bogus meme) to attempt to use the holocaust to advance the Ground Zero mosque, especially since the leader of the Muslim world, Mufti al-Husseini, was an ally of Hitler's and was responsible for the deaths of over 400,000 Jewish women and children during the holocaust. (Scroll and read.) The Muslim world has never apologized for or owned up to their role in World War II. Unlike Germany and Japan, they escaped penalty.

I hope the Anne Frank museum will be given additional police protection (like the Ground Zero mosque has gotten since last summer, and for what? I don't know.) Clearly, the Frank museum wil be at risk from the devout Muslims schooled in the virulent anti-semitism taught and mandated in Koran, the Sunna, and the canonical orthodoxy of shari'a. Khaybar, Khaybar ya yahud!

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Long Island Congressman Peter King is facing threats — and getting extra security.

But he vowed Monday to forge ahead with controversial hearings on radicalization in the Muslim-American community, reports CBS 2’s Tony Aiello. I am muslim hate

King was heavily criticized at a weekend rally in Times Square.

“American Muslims are part of the American family and are Americans, too!” Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf said.

But the congressman was strongly supported at a smaller rally nearby.

“Imam Rauf and his friends are trying to create a phony trumped-up civil rights movement,” one King supporter said.

The wedge issue is Chairman King’s decision to call a Homeland Security Committee hearing Thursday titled “The Extent of Radicalization in the American Muslim Community — and that Community’s Response.”

“I want to show the extent of that radicalization, how it happens. Also whether or not the Muslim community is fully cooperating,” Rep. King said.

Every Homeland Security chair gets protection, but King’s has been stepped up in the wake of threats — some generated by the controversy over the hearings.

“I’m getting a lot of hostile phone calls now, but the main threats I’m getting are from overseas,” Rep. King said.

King said he views his effort in the same vein as 1995 Senate hearings into the white militia movement, which took place right after the Oklahoma City terror bombing.

“And they were gathering support, and I thought it was important to investigate them,” King said.

King also said he promises to hear from a wide-range of voices, including Muslims that oppose the hearings, but intend to participate.

Among the figures invited to testify by Democrats is the sheriff of Los Angeles County, who is seen as a close ally of the Muslim community.

Liberal Dupe Trashes Peter King

King's Charlie Sheen-like self assessment is at best inflated and, more often than not, flat out wrong. It's not that King is politically incorrect that is troublesome; it's that he's empirically incorrect. The Obama administration is preparing for the prospect that Islamist governments will take hold in North Africa and the Middle East, acknowledging that the popular revolutions there will bring a more religious cast to the region's politics.

The administration is already taking steps to distinguish between various movements in the region that promote Islamic law in government. An internal assessment, ordered by the White House last month, identified large ideological differences between such movements as the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and al-Qaeda that will guide the U.S. approach to the region.

The Obama administration is not only preparing but is working to make this happen. What kind of statecraft is at play here? Name one Muslim country living under the sharia that is humane or free. The United States is sanctioning a global caliphate. Gd forgive us.

U.S. troops are gunned down by a shooter who screams “Allahu akbar!” before opening fire. Official statements are rushed out by Obama's State department -- the jihadi was a "lone wolf " -- not so. He was a member of any number of jihadi groups. "His motive was unclear" -- he was screaming the Islamic war chant right before he fired. "There are no links to terrorism" -- it was jihad. That is terror.

And yet the Obama Administration refuses to call the jihad attack in Germany an act of terrorism, and instead compares it to Giffords shooting.

Sound familiar? It should, because when Islam is the cause of American tragedy, President Obama hides his head in the sand.
On Wednesday, a young Kosovar named Arif Uka opened fire on a bus load of U.S. Air Force personnel in Frankfurt, Germany, killing two and wounding two more. Witnesses say he repeatedly shouted the jihadist battle cry, “Allahu akbar” as he emptied his weapon and screamed “Jihad! Jihad!” when tackled by German police. Uka’s victims had been heading to the fight in Afghanistan but because the jihadists have a global battlespace, the war came to them instead.

Mr. Obama made a typical noncommittal statement shortly after the shooting, saying it was a “stark reminder of the extraordinary sacrifices that our men and women in uniform are making all around the world to keep us safe, and the dangers that they face all around the globe.” He made no mention of the nature of the threat or the reason for the sacrifices. In this respect, he was behaving true to form.

The Frankfurt shooting is the latest in a troubling series of jihadist terror attacks in which the Obama administration refuses to face reality. Among the first was the June 1, 2009, shooting at a recruiting station in Little Rock. Abdul Hakim Mujahid Muhammad, a Muslim convert who had recently travelled to Yemen, killed one U.S. Army recruiter and wounded another. Muhammad told police if other troops had been available, he would have shot them too. The White House waited two days before making a statement that omitted any reference to the attacker or his jihadist motives.

The Nov. 5, 2009, Fort Hood massacre, in which 14 were killed and 30 wounded, was given a persistent coat of whitewash from the Obama administration. The first coat was applied with initial statements that shooter Nidal Malik Hassan was a “lone wolf” and continued through the comprehensive “force protection review” that somehow omitted any reference to Hasan’s jihadist motives or contacts with al Qaeda.

The Obama team had a similarly slippery reaction to the Dec. 25, 2009, attempted “underwear bomb” attack on Northwest flight 253. Al Qaeda-linked bomber Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab was initially not even charged with attempting to commit an act of terrorism. Faisal Shahzad, who attempted the Times Square bombing in May 2010, was also called a lone wolf with no ties to terrorism and was even described as more a victim of the economic downturn than a committed Islamic extremist. In all these cases, the initial assessments turned out to be wrong, yet the White House still obstinately refuses to discuss the jihadist motives of the terrorists involved.

Tennessee Resists Jihad not Religion

"Tennessee, like the federal government, has a compelling state interest to protect our citizens from jihad terrorism," added Representative Matheny. "The incidence of homegrown terrorism is rising and our local and state law enforcement officers are on the frontlines in preventing such attacks. Tennessee's current law addresses terrorism after the fact. This legislation aims to prevent acts of terrorism before they occur."

Open source reporting shows that between 2001 - 2008, there were one or two terror attempts per year. That number jumped in 2009 - January 2011 to one or two cases uncovered nationally per month. The lawmakers said the bill protects the right of political speech and the right of citizens to practice freedom of religion.

"This bill does not interfere with the constitutionally protected rights of those who practice Sharia religious law," added Senator Ketron. "This is not about religious rights or about those who practice Islamic beliefs. It's about protecting our citizens from acts of terrorism that come from Sharia jihad which is a growing threat in all our states."

British Schoolkids Subjected to Muslim Violence

So subjugated are the Brits that they cannot even bring themselves to utter the name of the invading colonizers; instead, they say Asian (though my definition of Asian is infinitely different from those whom they are describing, Muslims).

And while I have been covering these the heinous galloping global jihad for all these many years (and watched all the attendant videos of indescribable violence), I am still stunned and outraged when I catch glimpses of our abject surrender exhibited in this video. US Judge Awards $millions to Creeping Jihad

Shariah Law gains foothold in US: Federal judge upholds government funding of Islam; Thomas More Law Center files appeal

ANN ARBOR, MI - Last week, Judge Lawrence P. Zatkoff, a federal district court judge in Michigan, dismissed a constitutional challenge to the U.S. Government‘s bailout of AIG, which used over a hundred million dollars in federal tax money to support Islamic religious indoctrination through the funding and promotion of Sharia-compliant financing (SCF). SCF is financing that follows the dictates of Islamic law.

The challenge was brought by the Thomas More Law Center (TMLC), a national public interest law firm based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and co-counsel David Yerushalmi, on behalf of Kevin Murray, a Marine Corps veteran of the Iraqi War. TMLC filed a notice of appeal immediately after the ruling and will be seeking review of the decision in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

Richard Thompson, President and Chief Counsel of TMLC, commented: "Judge Zatkoff‘s ruling allows for oil-rich Muslim countries to plant the flag of Islam on American soil. His ruling ignored the uncontested opinions of several Sharia experts and AIG‘s own website, which trumpeted Sharia-compliant financing as promoting the law of the Prophet Mohammed and as an ethical product, ‘and a new way of life.‘ His ruling ignored AIG‘s use of a foreign Islamic advisory board to control investing in accordance with Islamic law.

Continued Thompson: "This astonishing decision allows the federal government as well as AIG and other Wall Street bankers to explicitly promote Sharia law-- the 1200-year-old body of Islamic canon law based on the Koran, which demands the destruction of Western Civilization and the United States. This is the same law championed by Osama bin Laden and the Taliban; it is the same law that prompted the 9/11 Islamic terrorist attacks; and it is the same law that is responsible for the murder of thousands of Christians throughout the world. The Law Center will do everything it can to stop Sharia law from rearing its ugly head in America.

The federal lawsuit was filed in 2008 against Secretary of the Treasury Timothy Geithner and the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. It challenges that portion of the "Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008" (EESA) that appropriated $70 billion in taxpayer money to fund and financially support the federal government‘s majority ownership interest in AIG, which is considered the market leader in SCF. According to the lawsuit, "The use of these taxpayer funds to approve, promote, endorse, support, and fund these Sharia-based Islamic religious activities violates the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment to the United States Constitution."

Through the use of taxpayer funds, the federal government acquired a majority ownership interest (nearly 80%) in AIG; and as part of the bailout, Congress appropriated $70 billion of taxpayer money to fund and financially support AIG and its financial activities, $47.5 billion of which was actually distributed to AIG. AIG, which is now a government owned company, engages in SCF, which subjects certain financial activities, including investments, to the dictates of Islamic law and the Islamic religion. This specifically includes any profits or interest obtained through such financial activities. AIG itself publicly describes "Sharia" as "Islamic law based on the Quran and the teachings of the Prophet [Mohammed]."

With the aid of taxpayer funds provided by Congress, AIG also employs a "Shariah Supervisory Committee." According to AIG, the role of its Sharia authority "is to review our operations, supervise its development of Islamic products, and determine Shariah compliance of these products and our investments."

Shortly after filing the complaint in 2008, attorneys for the Obama administration‘s Department of Justice (DOJ) asked the court to dismiss the lawsuit on behalf of the named defendants. In a written opinion issued in May 2009, the judge denied the request, holding that the lawsuit properly alleged a federal constitutional challenge to the use of taxpayer money to fund AIG‘s Islamic religious activities.

In its request to dismiss the lawsuit, DOJ argued that the plaintiff, Kevin Murray, who is a federal taxpayer, lacked standing to bring the action. And even if he did have standing, DOJ argued that the use of the bailout money to fund AIG‘s operations did not violate the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment. The court disagreed, noting, in relevant part, the following:

In this case, the fact that AIG is largely a secular entity is not dispositive: The question in an as-applied challenge is not whether the entity is of a religious character, but how it spends its grant. The circumstances of this case are historic, and the pressure upon the government to navigate this financial crisis is unfathomable. Times of crisis, however, do not justify departure from the Constitution. In this case, the United States government has a majority interest in AIG. AIG utilizes consolidated financing whereby all funds flow through a single port to support all of its activities, including Sharia-compliant financing. Pursuant to the EESA, the government has injected AIG with tens of billions of dollars, without restricting or tracking how this considerable sum of money is spent. At least two of AIG‘s subsidiary companies practice Sharia-compliant financing, one of which was unveiled after the influx of government cash. . . . Finally, after the government acquired a majority interest in AIG and contributed substantial funds to AIG for operational purposes, the government co-sponsored a forum entitled "Islamic Finance 101." These facts, taken together, raise a question of whether the government‘s involvement with AIG has created the effect of promoting religion and sufficiently raise Plaintiff‘s claim beyond the speculative level, warranting dismissal inappropriate at this stage in the proceedings.

Following this favorable ruling, the parties engaged in discovery. During discovery, TMLC took depositions, acquired numerous sworn affidavits from AIG and many of its subsidiaries, and acquired thousands of documents. This voluminous evidence was filed with the court in support of TMLC‘s motion for summary judgment-a request that the court enter final judgment in its favor because there is no genuine issue of material fact and TMLC should prevail as a matter of law.

On January 14, 2011, the court reversed its earlier position and ruled against Plaintiff Murray, claiming that there was no evidence presented of religious indoctrination, and if there were such evidence, the indoctrination could not be attributed to the federal government and besides, the amount of federal money that was used to support SCF-$153 million-was -"de minimus" in light of the large sum of tax money the federal government actually gave to AIG- $47.5 billion.

Robert Muise, Senior Trial Counsel for TMLC, commented: "Based on the incredible amount of evidence presented, much of which DOJ could not refute, and in light of the strength of the court‘s prior ruling, we expected the court to ultimately rule in our favor and hold that the federal government violated the U.S. Constitution by using federal tax money to fund Islamic religious activities. As soon as we read the court‘s adverse opinion, we filed an immediate appeal."

In addition to the court‘s remarkable claim that $153 million in tax money is "de minimis," the court stated the following: "In the absence of evidence showing that AIG‘s development and sale of SCF products has resulted in the instruction of religious beliefs for the purpose of instilling those beliefs in others or furthering a religious mission, Plaintiff has failed to demonstrate that a reasonable observer could conclude that AIG has engaged in religious indoctrination by supplying SCF products."

In the court filings, however, TMLC presented overwhelming and un-rebutted evidence from experts and AIG itself to demonstrate that AIG, with the direct support of the U.S. Government, was engaging in religious indoctrination. Specifically, in addition to AIG‘s own description of its Islamic financing as based upon Sharia and Sharia in turn described as "Islamic law based on Quran [sic] and the teachings of the Prophet (PBUH)," AIG promotes Sharia and SCF as a way to proselytize non-Muslims through an "ethical product" and a "new way of life." Indeed, in the U.S. Government‘s filings in the case, it admitted that SCF involves "a theological proposition."

Muise concluded, "Apparently, the court does not believe that the federal government violates the U.S. Constitution when it provides $153 million in taxpayer money to support Islamic religious activities. This is certainly more than the ‘one pence' James Madison warned about when he helped craft the First Amendment, and I am sure this decision is news for all of the Christian and Jewish organizations and businesses that are prevented from receiving a dime of federal tax money to support their religious activities."

The appeal is expected to take at least a year to complete.

Muslim charity squandered money for poor The Star.com (hat tip Morris)

Devout Muslims donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to one of Canada’s largest Islamic organizations on the promise that the cash would be used to help the poor.

But only one in four dollars donated to a special pool of money at the Islamic Society of North America Canada (ISNA Canada) actually reached the needy.

Mismanagement of more than $600,000 is among the findings in a scathing audit obtained by the Star.

A “very small portion . . . is distributed to the poor and needy and the major portion is spent on the administration of the centre,” concluded the 2010 audit of the previous four years.

ISNA Canada is embroiled in controversy, with the audit revealing the practice of giving free perks to family members of a top official; the improper issuing of charitable tax receipts; and the diversion of charity money to private businesses. At the centre of it all is long-time secretary general Mohammad Ashraf, who has recently announced he is stepping down.

Ashraf would not answer a series of questions from the Star.

“Don’t ask me anything,” Ashraf told a reporter who visited the organization’s Mississauga headquarters, marked by a graceful minaret overlooking the Queen Elizabeth Way. The 73-year-old microbiologist said he is “being transitioned into retirement” and that he is “restricted” from commenting on the audit.

Governor Christie's Dirty Islamist Ties
New Jersey, the Garden State, has just taken its first step toward becoming the Sharia State, with Governor Christie's nomination of Sohail Mohammed, an attorney to detained terrorist suspects, to a Superior Court judgeship in Passaic County. The Sohail nomination continues Christie's unfortunate pandering to the American Muslim Union and the Islamic Center of Passaic County.

Passaic County has the second largest Muslim population in the country. And the Islamic Center of Passaic County is the state's largest mosque, and it's the only one run by an an Imam who was a member of the Hamas terrorist organization. But when the United States government attempted to deport Mohammed Qatanani, New Jersey's pols and wannabe pols like Christie, quickly came to his aid. Despite the fact that Mohammed Qatanani was a member of the Muslim Brotherhood, the organization that is behind both Al Qaeda and Hamas, despite his own guilty plea to being a member of Hamas, and despite the fact that even in the United States, he had defended a charity that provided funds to children of suicide bombers (this is done as an incentive to reassure terrorists that if they die their families will be taken care of), Qatanani was not deported.

This is less a sign of his innocence, then of the power and influence wielded by Qatanani and the American Muslim Union. There was hardly a top New Jersey public official who did not come out for Qatanani. And that included both of the major candidates in the governor's race, Governor Jon Corzine and Chris Christie. Christie called Qatanani, "a man of great goodwill" and "a constructive force" and allowed Charles McKenna, one of his associate attorneys to testify on behalf of Qatanani. Afterward Christie tapped McKenna to head New Jersey's Department of Homeland Security. McKenna had spent a good deal of time on Muslim "outreach" and made numerous statements echoing their talking points.

The pioneering terrorism researcher, Steve Emerson called it, "a disgrace and an act of pure political corruption". He stated, "I know for certain that Christie and the FBI SAC had access to information about Qatanani’s background, involvement with and support of Hamas." Defending Qatanani required Christie to pit himself against the Department of Homeland Security, which wanted him deported. But the Department of Homeland Security wasn't running for office in New Jersey. Christie was.

The first Imam of the Islamic Center of Passaic County, Mohammad El-Mezain, was convicted of funneling money to Hamas. El-Mezain had actually boasted of raising almost 2 million dollars for Hamas. And his replacement, Qatanani, actually was a member of Hamas. An ordinary politician might have been forgiven for not knowing this, but Christie was the US Attorney for New Jersey. It's absolutely impossible that he would not have known the background of the Islamic Center of Passaic County. Yet Christie attended a Ramadan dinner, in the same place where terrorists had fundraised, and kissed Qatanani on the cheek.

Now Christie has nominated Sohail Mohammed, Qatanan's former lawyer, to a Superior Court judgeship. Sohail Mohammed is a board member of the American Muslim Union, an organization that has interlocking leadership with groups that have fundraised for Hamas and hosted a Hamas speaker. The American Muslim Union is closely interlinked with Qatanani's Islamic Center of Passaic County.

When five Muslims were convicted of plotting to murder US soldiers at New Jersey's Fort Dix, American Muslim Union president, Mohamad Younes, came out in their defense. When El-Mezain, the original Imam of the Islamic Center of Passaic County, was convicted, Younes claimed that he had only been convicted because he was a Muslim. The ICPC and the AMU shared five members in their leadership, which essentially makes them one and the same. Nominating an AMU board member is an indirect payoff to the Islamic Center of Passaic County's own leadership... and to Mohammed Qatanani.

Sohail Mohammed defended suspected terrorist detainees and was the go-to man for local and national media looking for a good quote. He lobbied against the use of both 'Islamic' in descriptions of Islamic terrorists, condemned the television show 24 for depicting Muslim terrorists and made an appearance outside the Qatanani trial. After the massacre of a Coptic Christian family, Sohail Mohammed tried to have some Copts investigated for opposing Muslim attendance at their funeral. And most importantly, Sohail Mohammed was Qatanani's original lawyer when the government began its case against him.

So after helping Mohammed Qatanani escape deportation, Christie then nominated his lawyer to a Superior Court judgeship. Sohail is the second Muslim Superior Court judge in New Jersey after Hany Mawla. And if you want a preview of New Jersey's future, you can see it in Judge Hany Mawla conducting the swearing in ceremony for Mayor Mohamed T. Khairullah in Passaic County's Prospect Park borough. And the opening prayer for the event is delivered by none other than Imam Qatanani, leading a prayer in the name of Allah.

There's still an American flag in place and the pledge of allegiance is recited, but those are symbols masking the hijacking taking place underneath the red, white and blue.

There have been setbacks. The Democratic party had to dump Sami Merhi, when some of his comments sympathetic to terrorists came to light. But his friend Mohamed T. Khairullah made it through. A critical flyer mailed out to local households was described as a hate crime and exploited by the media for the sympathy vote. Corzine and the local Democratic machine moved Hawla from a civil rights commissioner to a superior court judge. They put Sohail Mohammed on the same track. Christie could have stood up to the Democratic machine, but instead he sucked up to Passaic's Islamists, first by aiding Qatanani and then by nominating his lawyer to a Superior Court Judgeship.

Some might compare the situation in Passaic County to France with its "no go zones" where the local authorities and non-Muslims cannot enter, but it's actually a good deal worse. The government and the judiciary is being taken over, small pieces of Muslim ruled territory are being carved out and expanded with the support of the state's leading politicians, who trade political support and campaign contributions for something dangerously close to treason. It's not just New Jersey. America is being carved up this way, piece by piece. The areas with the highest Muslim population like Illinois, Michigan and New Jersey are ground zero for the Islamist hijacking of America, using front groups, media friendly spokesmen, lawyers, leadership training and the slow climb up the ladder.

If you wondered why Governor Christie intervened in the Ground Zero Mosque issue or why a New Jersey state employee who participated in a protest against the mosque by burning a few pages from the Koran, lost his job-- you were only seeing the tip of a very large iceberg. In Muslim heavy states such as New Jersey, politicians and law enforcement have been largely suborned. In their attempt to co-opt Muslims, they instead have been co-opted by them. Who is really working for whom? Decide for yourself.

In one broad stroke, Barack the barbarian whitewashes any crimes against humanity with impunity.

So are we to understand that the constant malignant drone of the most hateful incitement to Jew hatred and Jewish blood libel is to be "respected"? Iran's call to wipe Israel off the face of the earth is to be respected? Death to America is to be respected? Is this to be respected? Or this?

"Any outstretched hand will be cut off" will be respected?

These cartoons are to be respected? Where is Islam's apology for these calls to murder? We have to drop to our knees to apologize for a couple of innocuous, snarky toons, but RESPECT THIS!

If you were dropped into this moment in time without any context to explain his remarks, you'd think you were listening to the surrender speech of a once great nation.

We Dare Pepsi to Accept the Jihad Challenge

Last week, I dared Pepsi to take the jihad challenge. Or at least to treat Islam with the same disrespect and ridicule as they did in the Super Bowl ad mocking Catholicism posted on their website. Funny? Not. Insulting to Catholics? Totally. In a free country, these demeaning cheap shots are to be expected, but I dare Pepsi to mock Islam.

Atlas readers voted, emailed, called along with many others to voice their disgust. Pepsi, with their tail between their legs, has removed the ad. Ad showing DORITOS chips as Eucharists yanked from Super Bowl...

USA Today is crowing about it now. But where were they before the ad was removed? MIA. As if the media gives a fig when anyone insults or mocks Christianity:

But the body and blood of Christ are no joke to Catholics who believe they are in Communion with their God when they accept the Eucharist and the wine during Mass.

Hence the uproar among some believers when they saw one of the 5,000+ entries in the annual competition for a slot in the Super Bowl ad line up.

Feed your Flock begins with a Catholic priest at his desk surrounded by bills for the parish, which clearly needs more income in the collection plate (why else show the stack of bills?).

Since it's his job to offer spiritual food to the flock, he takes it to another level (the pits, I'd say). The video shows the faithful lining up for Communion and getting Doritos (in two flavors, no less) instead of the Eucharist, the sacramental bread which Catholics believe is the body of Christ. And, you guessed it, the sacramental wine, considered to be the blood of Christ, is dished out as Pepsi MAX.

You don't have to be Catholic to find this irredeemably offensive. Hence, I'm not embedding the video. According to the Mashable Business site,

The maker of the ad, a Philadelphia firm called Media Wave Productions, however, says that interpretation is way off base....

Dave Williams, president of MediaWave, says he pulled the ad from Pepsi's site and from YouTube. "We felt bad," he says. "Our intention was to win, not to offend."

Ya think? How could it have been anything but offensive to the one in four Americans who call themselves Catholic? What's surprising is that it made it up on the Pepsi site for consideration at all. Were there no standards for submission?

Needless to say, the Pepsico site listing the top 10 finalists does not include Feed your Flock and a representative of the company apologized for any offense.

Another Muslim Attempt to Kill Book Author

Another author of an objective study of Islam is targeted for death. It's adherence to Islamic (sharia) blasphemy law -- do not defame Islam. "Islamophobia" is the dysphemism for candor. Those who blaspheme Islam are "islamophobics."

Where is PEN, the artists community, the media? Did everyone get bored after Salman Rushdie? I am sure that Molly Norris thinks so.

Potenza, 7 Jan. (AKI) - A director of Italian public broadcaster RAI has urged the government to protect to one of its journalists after a suspected radical Muslim opened fire on his car in southern Italy. Nello Rega was uninjured in the attack as he drove home late on Thursday. Rega wrote a book on Islam's uneasy relationship Christianity [sic] and has received several threats from alleged Muslim extremists over the past two years.

"Last night's attack should leave people in no doubt. Rega could have been killed. Why is he not adequately protected?" said Antonio Bagnardi, director of RAI Televideo, where Bagnardi works.

"Isn't it enough that he has been intimidated for months on end and now is a victim of attempted murder," Bagnardi added, calling on Italy's interior minister Roberto Maroni to intervene.

A single shot was fired at Rega's car from a vehicle that drew up alongside as he drove along a state highway near the city of Potenza in Italy's Basilicata region, damaging Rega's rear window. He reported the attack to police, who were examining his car as part of their investigation.

Since his book 'Different and Divided - a Diary of Coexistence with Islam' Rega has received threats in the Italian capital, Rome, and in Potenza including an envelope mailed to him with bullets inside.
