Two IDF reservists lost their way on the West Bank. After they stopped at a Police station to ask for directions, an angry mob gathered to rip the men from limb to limb. Last week an American tourist missed her tour bus. She walked beside the road. Four Arabs dragged her into a field, hacked at her with knives and left her for dead.
Raw hatred from neighbors promotes a constant dread. Being in range of Iranian missile strikes tenses the shoulder muscles a feeling similar to that experienced by prison inmates.
One feels trapped, unwanted.

Lebanon Coup d'etat Imminent

Ahmadinejad did not just go to the Lebanon/Israeli border solely to spew his nazi-like anti-American, antisemtic annihilationist invective. Clearly, there is more to it. Something evil is afoot, and the Arab Press is predicting that something is going to happen.

The free world is without a leader. Obama is silly and dangerous, incapable or unwilling to take a brave, principled stance in defense of freedom and our allies. The forces of evil smell blood, and they are going in for the kill. A world without America's forceful presence is descending into chaos and havoc.

It seems like a lifetime ago (not five short years) when Bush had Syria on the ropes and there were landmark demonstrations for freedom in Lebanon. Then UN Ambassador John Bolton was pressing forward with the UN's investigation of Syria's involvement in the "potential linkages" of the murder of former Lebanese premier Rafiq Hariri and 14 other assassinations of anti-Syrian Lebanese figures. The 14 cases included the murder of anti-Syrian newspaper boss and MP Gibran Tueni last December, which Lebanese lawmakers blamed on Damascus. The removal of Syria's stranglehold on Lebanon led to the Cedar revolution -- Lebanon had a shot at emerging from under the boot of Iranian/Syrian proxy of Hezb'allah's jihad.

Looking back on all those 2005 Atlas posts, they are all infused with the one thing the Obama adminstration is completely devoid of -- hope. Oh, the irony.

Kuwaiti Daily Predicts Lebanese Coup on October 16 MEMRI (links, thanks to Armaros)

The Kuwaiti daily Al-Rai predicts, citing Arab diplomatic sources, that on October 16, 2010, following the visit of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to Lebanon, Hizbullah and forces affiliated with it will begin implementing their plan to stage a coup in the country.

The daily added that Hizbullah is adamant on changing the makeup of the Lebanese government, regardless of the activity of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon.

Fairness and Kindness

An economic downturn measures the true character of a country. While the present regime enacts measures, the USA will continue her downward spiral.Investment derivatives, Collateralized Debt Obligations and subprime mortgages are not fair to small businesses and consumers. The financial industry created fraudulent instruments, pocketed enormous profits and passed off the losses to the taxpayers.The manufacturers have formed collusive pacts to deprive the public of control of food, fuel and other vital resources. Recently, grain prices tripled, as cartels administered prices. Come election time gasoline prices drop as magically as they rose. They will fall until the consumers abandon all thoughts of alternative energy sources.Are the Big3 and the Seven Sisters being kind to us?The medical profession sits at the apex of cruelty.National Health Insurance should have a reality sixty years ago.Greed consumes us on the upside and fear rules the downside. You Get What You Pay For

With the decline of the Red Menace, the USA needed a new Frankenstein a godless psychopath to prop up as villain. Already the recipient of WMD, Saddam seemed to be a good paper tiger villain of choice. Adept at murdering his countrymen, he had no makings of a viable international threat.

Osama bin Laden showed more promise. The chances are he bombed the World Trade Center underground parking lot in 1993. This effort unsatisfactory, the CIA undertook false flag operations in Europe and Asia. The attacks increased the scope, but not the severity.

To be a viable threat, the Arabs needed more clout. The US began to sell nuclear secrets to the Arab States. This strategy relied on disinformation and public ignorance. There is a long road from knowing how to build a bomb and actually constructing one. The process involves considerable financial planning, brainpower and patience rare qualities in Arabia.

To enlist US public participation in the program, the officials attacked the rule of law. Major results from the 9/11 tragedy were widespread fear of the Arabs and a loathing for the rule of reason. The people perceived democracy as weakness and were willing to sacrifice civil liberties for safety.

The public is not angry at the administration for poor management of the Iraq War, but for failing to win it. The people do not understand the object for the military/industrial complex. An outbreak of peace is disastrous for profits.

The prudent administration always takes it easy on the adversary until they can prop up another despot as an appropriate villain.

What happened to the purple smiley face?

He is mocking us. Nobody twisted our arms to drown the country in greed, bigotry and fear. Where are the whistle blowers? Where are the investigative journalists? They are in hiding in a country that punishes doubters and tortures activists.

We can’t all flee to Paraguay.
