US Officials Suspected Al Jazeera Al Qaeda Link

U.S. Officials Suspected Al-Jazeera Ties to Al-Qaeda

We always knew al jizz was "Terror TV." What's scary is that the President of the United States and his coterie of quislings are big fans of the propaganda broadcast network. Complete coverage of Al Jazeera's invasion of the US airwaves and our press conference here (scroll for text and video).

Terror Ties and Muslim Brotherhood Connections: Read the Explosive U.S. Military Document on Al-Jazeera Here (PDF)

The good news is that Comcast has slammed the door on the poison machine, here.

Here's the latest from the tireless fighter and great American, Cliff Kincaid.

U.S. Officials Suspected Al-Jazeera Ties to Al-Qaeda USA Survival

Al-Jazeera is spinning the newly released “Guantanamo files,” saying they show that dozens of enemy combatants detained at the U.S. facility at Guantanamo Bay were innocent. But that’s not what the previously secret documents say about one high-profile detainee, Sami al-Hajj, an Al-Jazeera journalist released from Guantanamo after legal intervention by his Soros-funded lawyer and protests from human rights and press freedom groups.

The controversial allegations against this former “enemy combatant,” as detailed in this document, are being denounced by al-Hajj’s lawyer as “false and discredited allegations.”

But they show that U.S. officials suspected high-level cooperation between Al-Jazeera and al-Qaeda and other terrorist organizations. The charges also raise serious questions about why officials of the Obama Administration are currently praising the channel and cooperating with it.

The document says about Sami Muheidine Mohamed al-Haj, known as Sami al-Hajj and Prisoner 345, “His involvement as a money courier, involvement in the transfer of weapons and leadership position within the Muslim Brotherhood, along with his numerous connections made through Al-Jazeera and his pro-jihadist propaganda activities, illustrates his intelligence value.”

The detailed Department of Defense document, posted by WikiLeaks, is designated, “SECRET / / NOFORN / / 20330404DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE HEADQUARTERS, JOINT TASK FORCE GUANTANAMO U.S. NAVAL STATION, GUANTANAMO BAY, CUBA APO AE 09360”

Dated April 4, 2008, it recommends continued detention under Department of Defense control for the “Guantanamo Detainee” and is signed by U.S. Navy Rear Admiral Mark H. Buzby. Incredibly, however, al-Hajj was released only about a month later.

After the leak of this secret prisoner document, Al-Hajj was quick to appear on Al-Jazeera English, which is desperately seeking access to U.S. media markets, to once again proclaim his innocence. He says U.S. interrogators repeatedly asked about a link between Al-Jazeera and al-Qaeda.

Al-Hajj says he is happy that his file and others have been released by WikiLeaks. But the document appears to rely on interviews, interrogations, intelligence sources, and foreign intelligence services that cannot be dismissed out of hand. It’s true that some information is presented in the form of accusations that have not necessarily been verified. But other information is presented in an official manner and as a matter of fact.

It bluntly describes al-Hajj employee as a member of al-Qaeda and a member of the Muslim Brotherhood. What’s more, the documents include information indicating that Al-Jazeera had a “relationship” with al-Qaeda dating back to 1997 and that the channel was involved in Muslim Brotherhood operations targeting the U.S.

The specific charges about al-Hajj are more controversial and have been disputed. It says, “Detainee was believed to be a money courier for the UBL [Osama bin Laden] network” It cites a foreign government service as saying that the detainee “was a personal acquaintance of UBL.”

“Detainee is reportedly a leader in the Muslim Brotherhood’s Shura council and was involved in plans and operations to distribute weapons, to include Stinger missiles, and financial support to a foreign government service,” it goes on. “It is assessed that detainee worked directly with Taliban Supreme commander Mullah Muhammad Omar to procure the missiles.”

In a bombshell, the document alleges that the U.S. was a target of this terrorist network through banking activities that could potentially launder money for terrorist activities. It says, “Detainee traveled to Qatar to meet with the head of al-Jazeera and Yusef al-Karadavi (a main proponent of the Muslim Brotherhood) to discuss creating a banking system controlled by the ‘brothers’ in European countries, the US, and Canada.” The “brothers” is a term used to describe members of the Muslim Brotherhood, the same group now poised to take power in Egypt after the “revolution” fed by Al-Jazeera’s incendiary coverage.

The name, “Yusef al-Karadavi” appears to be Yusuf al-Qaradawi, an Al-Jazeera Arabic personality known for his anti-American and anti-Israel views. He is considered the inspiration forn the Muslim Brotherhood.

Whether al-Hajj actually met with him or not, Qatar sponsors and funds Al-Jazeera and hosted al-Qaradawi until his recent triumphant return to Egypt.

Not surprisingly, the 11-page document shows that the Department of Defense believed that al-Hajj could provide evidence of “Al-Jazeera associations with al-Qaida leaders and activities in support of Islamic militant groups,” as well as information about the Muslim Brotherhood “and its links to extremism.” The document confirms his status as an “enemy combatant” with a “high risk” to the U.S. and of “high intelligence value.”

Al-Hajj, of course, claims he was wrongly detained. The allegations against him were “baseless,” Al-Jazeera claimed on his behalf. The International Federation of Journalists (IFJ), Reporters Without Borders and Amnesty International had urged his release. He now covers human rights issues for the channel.

It has never been clear why he was released from Guantanamo. “With no explanation, U.S. military officials last May [2008] flew him to his native Khartoum, and handed him over to Sudanese authorities,” noted Time magazine.

However, speculation has been that the transfer was made, after six years in custody, for foreign policy reasons having to do with U.S. relations with the Sudan, his native country. The bad publicity over holding a “journalist” in the terrorist detention facility could have been another reason.

His British lawyer, Clive Stafford Smith, has a lot of clout, having been a former “Soros Senior Fellow” associated with the controversial left-wing billionaire, George Soros. Smith visited al-Hajj at Guantanamo in 2006. “His interrogators wanted only to turn him into an informant against Al Jazeera,” Smith claimed at the time.

Smith’s task, as a recipient of a “Soros Justice Fellowship,” was to “organize a coalition to promote enforcement of constitutional and human rights in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba (home of a U.S. military base and prison); to produce a best-practices manual for litigating the cases before military commissions; and to write about a selection of Guantanamo prisoners.”

But it doesn’t seem to matter for Al-Jazeera whether the charges are true or not. The channel defended Al-Jazeera reporter Tayseer Alouni, who was charged, convicted and sentenced to prison in Spain for being an agent of Al-Qaeda. Spanish judge Baltasar Garzon alleged that Tayseer Alouni was involved with an al-Qaeda terror cell that helped plan the 9/11 attacks on the U.S. He had been a correspondent for Al-Jazeera in Afghanistan before the U.S. invasion after 9/11.

The New York Times did not spin the documents in the same way as Al-Jazeera. It reported, “The documents show that a major reason a Sudanese cameraman for Al Jazeera, Sami al-Hajj, was held at Guantánamo for six years was for questioning about the television network’s ‘training program, telecommunications equipment, and newsgathering operations in Chechnya, Kosovo, and Afghanistan,’ including contacts with terrorist groups. While Mr. Hajj insisted he was just a journalist, his file says he helped Islamic extremist groups courier money and obtain Stinger missiles and cites the United Arab Emirates’ claim that he was a Qaeda member. He was released in 2008 and returned to work for Al Jazeera.”

His “file” is absolute dynamite at a time when Al-Jazeera is currying favor with the U.S. media establishment.

Malcolm X: What He Might Have Become

Malcolm X: A Life of Reinvention. By Manning Marable. Viking Adult; 592 pages; $30. Allen Lane; £30. Buy from Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk

MALCOLM LITTLE had several names before his life ended in assassination in a New York theatre in 1965. As a youthful hustler, petty thief and drug-dealer he was “Detroit Red”. As a pious Sunni Muslim he became El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz. But in most memories he remains Malcolm X, the charismatic public face of the Nation of Islam, which preached that whites were devils and that black separatism was the answer to America’s problems of race.

Whatever the name, Malcolm’s short life (he was slain at 39) makes a fascinating story and is told well by Manning Marable, director of Columbia University’s Institute for Research in African-American Studies, who sadly died a few days before his book was published this week. The fascination lies in the evolution of Malcolm’s beliefs: from the black nationalism and pan-Africanism of Marcus Garvey through the black separatism of the Nation of Islam to the colour-blind embrace of orthodox Islam. The tale includes the burning down of Malcolm’s childhood home, the ruthless brutality of Nation of Islam thugs, the sexual philandering of the Nation’s spiritual leader, Elijah Muhammad, and the enthusiasm with which political and religious elites embraced Malcolm on his trips to Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

Some of this detail comes from “The Autobiography of Malcolm X”, related by Malcolm to Alex Haley (later to become famous as the author of “Roots”) and published just after Malcolm’s death. But Mr Marable argues that the autobiography was more of a memoir—hence the exaggeration of the young Malcolm’s involvement in hard-core crime—than a solid exercise in objective fact. Rather than rely on the autobiography, Mr Marable has scoured contemporary press clippings in America, Europe and Africa. He has benefited, too, from the recent release to the public of hundreds of Malcolm’s letters, photographs and texts of speeches.

Malcolm was only one of the prominent black figures in America’s turbulent racial politics of the early 1960s. John Lewis, now a member of the House of Representatives, was organising the Freedom Riders in an attempt to register black voters in the American South; Martin Luther King was preaching non-violence in the black quest for civil rights; and Stokely Carmichael, one of the Freedom Riders but soon to join the Black Panther Party, was becoming impatient with non-violence and coining the slogan “black power”.

It was Malcolm, however, who appealed most to poor blacks, rural and urban alike: “Impoverished African Americans could admire Dr King, but Malcolm not only spoke their language, he had lived their experiences—in foster homes, in prisons, in unemployment lines,” writes Mr Marable. The question was how Malcolm would use this appeal.

He was originally Elijah Muhammad’s favoured disciple, but his attraction to politics did not fit with the Nation’s refusal to be involved in the civil-rights movement. By early 1964 Malcolm had formally left the Nation. The estrangement was both personal, thanks to the jealousy Malcolm had provoked at the Nation’s headquarters, and ideological: his conversion to orthodox Islam was at odds with the heresies of the Nation (not only did Elijah Muhammad claim to be a new prophet but the Nation’s founder, Wallace Fard, had claimed to be the personification of Allah).

Was the Nation responsible for Malcolm’s murder? Its leaders denied any link, but Louis Farrakhan, later to become the Nation’s leader on the death of Elijah Muhammad, had declared in December 1964 that: “Such a man as Malcolm is worthy of death.” As Mr Marable notes: “This code phrase was a call to arms within the sect.” The conviction of three men from the Nation failed to silence sceptics who suspected police and FBI complicity.

Mr Marable avoids judgment on the assassination. Instead he examines Malcolm’s legacy. Whereas King appeared on an American stamp and has a national holiday in his honour, Malcolm appeared on an Iranian stamp and has been lauded by al-Qaeda. Mr Marable speculates on what might have been if Malcolm had lived: “As his social vision expanded to include people of divergent nationalities and racial identities, his gentle humanism and antiracism could have become a platform for a new kind of radical, global ethnic politics.” Maybe. Yet some may feel that this conclusion rests more on the author’s wishful thinking than on the reality of the life he describes so well.

Al Qaeda Snatched Surface-to-Air Missiles from Libya

AL-QAEDA'S offshoot in North Africa has snatched surface-to-air missiles from an arsenal in Libya during the civil strife there, Chad's President says.

Idriss Deby Itno did not say how many surface-to-air missiles were stolen, but told the African weekly Jeune Afrique that he was "100 per cent sure" of his assertion.

"The Islamists of al-Qaeda took advantage of the pillaging of arsenals in the rebel zone to acquire arms, including surface-to-air missiles, which were then smuggled into their sanctuaries in Tenere," a desert region of the Sahara that stretches from northeast Niger to western Chad, Deby said in the interview.

"We have the same information," about heavy weapons, including SAM 7 missiles, a military source from Niger said.

"Islamists," what an asinine word.

Al Qaeda Joins Libya Rebels to Fight Qaddafi

Libyan rebel commander admits his fighters have al-Qaeda links Abdel-Hakim al-Hasidi, the Libyan rebel leader, has said jihadists who fought against allied troops in Iraq are on the front lines of the battle against Muammar Gaddafi's regime.
By Praveen Swami, Nick Squires and Duncan Gardham 5:00PM GMT 25 Mar 2011

In an interview with the Italian newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore, Mr al-Hasidi admitted that he had recruited "around 25" men from the Derna area in eastern Libya to fight against coalition troops in Iraq. Some of them, he said, are "today are on the front lines in Adjabiya".

Mr al-Hasidi insisted his fighters "are patriots and good Muslims, not terrorists," but added that the "members of al-Qaeda are also good Muslims and are fighting against the invader".

His revelations came even as Idriss Deby Itno, Chad's president, said al-Qaeda had managed to pillage military arsenals in the Libyan rebel zone and acquired arms, "including surface-to-air missiles, which were then smuggled into their sanctuaries".

Mr al-Hasidi admitted he had earlier fought against "the foreign invasion" in Afghanistan, before being "captured in 2002 in Peshwar, in Pakistan". He was later handed over to the US, and then held in Libya before being released in 2008.

US and British government sources said Mr al-Hasidi was a member of the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group, or LIFG, which killed dozens of Libyan troops in guerrilla attacks around Derna and Benghazi in 1995 and 1996

Al Qaeda Plots to Bomb British Targets

MI5 alleged Abid Naseer wrote coded e-mails to an al-Qaeda member Photograph: Handout

The extradition of an alleged leader of an al-Qaida plot to bomb British and US targets was approved today. Abid Naseer is accused of a plot to bomb British targets and US authorities made the extradition request after alleging a link to a planned attack on a New York subway. US officials said the plot had been one of the most dangerous since the 9/11 attacks. Magistrates in central London approved the extradition application at a hearing at City of Westminster magistrates court but Naseer's lawyer said he would appeal. The case is now likely to go before the home secretary Theresa

Finland's Links to Al-Shabaab Terrorists

Finnish Links to al-Shabaab. Even still, the media doesn't get it. Look at the headline: "Finnish links." The links are not Finnish -- they are Muslim. They are jihadi. The rest is just geography. The Security Police (Supo) has found links between the Somali terrorist group al-Shabaab and individuals in Finland.

The Islamist extremist group is blamed for several terror attacks abroad.

According to Turun Sanomat and several other papers, Supo is keeping an eye on several dozen people who may have connections to al-Shabaab and other al-Qaida-style terror groups.

The head of Supo's anti-terrorism unit, Lasse Anttila, confirms there are people in this country who have maintained contacts with al-Shabaab.

Anttila says the Horn of Africa is a growing base for terrorism aimed against the West, and that it is the site of terrorist training camps. He says Supo are keeping track of possible connections between them and Finland. However, under Finnish law, participation in such camps is not a crime.

Defend American Hero Michael Behenna

Behenna killed an al qaeda jihadist in self defense, and Behenna is going to jail. Saving Behenna saves America. This is our battle -- this is America under attack from the enemy within.

If you are in the DC/Virginia area on December 9th at 10 am, please stand with Michael at the courthouse for Michael Behenna's hearing: 901 North Stuart Street, Ste 1200, Arlington, VA.

On March 20th, 2009, Army Ranger 1st Lieutenant Michael Behenna was sentenced to 25 years in prison for killing Ali Mansur, a known Al Qaeda operative while serving in Iraq. Mansur was known to be a member of an Al Qaeda cell operating in the lieutenant’s area of operation and was suspected to have organized an attack on Lt. Behenna’s platoon in April 2008 which killed two U.S. soldiers and injured two more. Army intelligence ordered the release of Mansur and Lt. Behenna was ordered to return the terrorist to his home.

During the return of Mansur, Lt. Behenna again questioned the Al Qaeda member for information about other members of the terrorist cell, and financial supporters. During this interrogation, Mansur attacked Lt. Behenna, who killed the terrorist in self-defense. The government subsequently prosecuted Lt. Behenna for premeditated murder.

Not only is this a miscarriage of justice on the behalf of Lt. Behenna, who was acting to prevent further loss of life in his platoon, it is demoralizing to the U.S. troops who continue to fight on behalf of the freedom and security of our nation. Whether it is U.S. border patrol agents, members of the armed forces, or FBI agents, no individual who is serving on the frontlines in the War on Terror should be so blatantly mistreated.

We urgently need your help to correct this terrible wrong against a loyal and faithful soldier. Please contact your congressman and ask them to intervene on behalf of 1LT Behenna. Below is a brief recap of the relevant aspects of Lt. Behenna’s case.

Bev Perlson notified me of this hero's clemency hearing:

Again: If you are in the DC/Virginia area on December 9th, please join us at the Courthouse for Michael Behenna's hearing: 901 North Stuart Street, Ste 1200, Arlington, VA.

The hearing begins at 10am.
The public can attend this hearing.

I will be there in support of Mike and his family and I hope you will too. Michael Behenna deserves our support! Please bring family/friends with you. I believe that we can make a difference for this Warrior and isn't this the least we can do for him?!

I hope to see you there. This Court needs to see a crowded courtroom. We want them to understand we are watching what they are doing to our Heroes!

Thank You and please pass forward email.

Pakistan's Army of the Pure

Lashkar’s beginnings

For more than a decade, Sajid Mir has operated in a blurred underworld of spies, soldiers and terrorists.

An Interpol notice last month seeking his arrest illustrates confusion about basic facts of his life. The Indian warrant identifies him as Sajid Majid, not Mir, with a birthdate of Jan. 1, 1978, which would make him 32. But most investigators think he is older — in his mid- to late 30s. They still call him Sajid Mir, saying Majid may be his true name or one of several aliases.

Mir was born in Lahore, Pakistan’s second-largest city and cultural capital. His family may have owned a manufacturing business, according to court testimony.

Mir was a teenager when a professor named Hafiz Saeed created Lashkar-i-Taiba (the Army of the Pure) in the late 1980s with Abdullah Azzam, a Palestinian Islamist. Azzam had another claim to fame: He was an ideological mentor of Osama bin Laden and helped him found the organization that was the forerunner of al-Qaeda.

Islamic Centcom Urges More Jihad in Europe and USA

The translation of 'Al Qaeda" from the arabic is headquarters, or CENTCOM, central command. Al Qaeda, the military wing of Islam, is calling the ummah in Detroit and Europe to fulfill the Islamic obligation of jihad and attack the infidel and kuffar.

Expect the stealth jihadist Muslim Brotherhood groups in the US to maintain plausible deniability while subversively working to overthrow our constitutional republic.

Al-Qaida leader urges Motor City jihad UPI

DETROIT, Oct. 24 (UPI) -- An American-born al-Qaida operative is urging Muslims living in Europe and in Detroit to carry out attacks in defense of Islam.

A new 48-minute recording released this weekend apparently came from Adam Gadhan, the California farm boy who has become an English-speaking voice of the international terrorist organization.

"It is the duty of everyone who is sincere in his desire to defend Islam and Muslims today, to take the initiative to perform the individual obligation of jihad," Gadhan said.

CBS News said the recording was made available by SITE, a U.S. organization that monitors terrorist activities.

Gadhan specifically called on Muslims living in "the miserable suburbs of Paris, London and Detroit" to rise up and attack.

Feds Confirm Mumbai Plotter Worked for DEA

Feds Confirm Mumbai Plotter Trained With Terrorists While Working for DEA

16 Oct 2010 Federal officials acknowledged Saturday that David Coleman Headley, the U.S. businessman who confessed to being a terrorist scout in the 2008 Mumbai attacks, was working as a DEA informant while he was training with terrorists in Pakistan. Federal officials, who spoke only on background because of the sensitivity of the Headley case, also said they suspect a link between Headley and the al Qaeda figures whose activities have sparked recent terror threats against Europe.

The Jews were targeted first (Islamic antisemitism is a basic tenet in Islam). In my extensive coverage of the savage Muslim attacks on the West in Mumbai, India, the obsession with targeting the small little Jewish Chabad house from the inception of the planning was shocking. The Jewish Chabad house was part of a larger attack on hotels and public buildings across Mumbai that resulted in the deaths of at least 166 people. But for the Muslim terrorists themselves, Nariman House was different. It was the only Jewish target, and the Muslim terrorists would be told by their central command in Pakistan that the lives of Jews were worth 50 times those of non-Jews. The organizers had sought it out with care. Their handlers would emphasize to them the importance of killing Jews.

Mumbai was the most wicked, the bloodiest attack in the jihad's war on West. Here's what the media didn't tell you. Imagine an ideology that teaches this. More here.

Much of what I covered, the mainstream media refused to report. Read my interview on Mumbai here.

Muslims were freed before they slaughtered 166 Westerners, Indians and Jews (over a thousand injured).

Wife Warned FBI of Mumbai Plotter's Lashkar Ties
by IPT News • Oct 18, 2010 at 3:22 pm
The wife of an American citizen who scouted targets for the Mumbai terror attacks in November 2008, alerted the FBI three earlier that her husband was an active member of the Pakistani terror group Lashkar-e-Tayyiba (LeT), according to media reports. David Coleman Headley's wife reported that he had trained in Lashkar camps in Pakistan and had purchased night vision goggles and other equipment for the terrorist group. The LeT is believed to be behind the Mumbai attacks.

Headley's wife, an American-born New York makeup artist, had three separate meetings with the FBI-led Joint Terrorism Task Force after a dispute that resulted in Headley's arrest by New York City Police on charges of domestic assault. Headley was later released on bond after federal officials determined the information was inadequate to legally justify opening an investigation. ProPublica, an investigative news agency, first reported the tip on its website Friday and in the Washington Post on Saturday. ProPublica did not identify Headley's wife by name due to concerns about her safety.

In 2007, less than a year before the Mumbai attacks that killed 166 people, including six Americans, Headley's second wife, Faiza Outalha, a young Moroccan woman, warned officials at the American Embassy in Pakistan that her husband was plotting an attack in Mumbai. Outalha showed embassy officials a photograph of herself with Headley at the Taj Mahal hotel, one of the targets of the Mumbai attacks. Hotel records confirm Headley and his wife stayed at the Taj hotel in April and May 2007, as part of several reconnaissance missions to India to scout potential sites for terrorist attacks under instructions from LeT.

In March, Headley pleaded guilty to 12 federal terrorism charge that were brought against him, including conspiracy to bomb public places in India, to murder Americans and others in India, and to provide material support to the Lashkar-e-Tayyiba. He has been cooperating with government authorities since his arrest in October 2009.

Headley is reported to have been married at least three times and for a brief period he was married to all three wives at the same time. His third wife was a conservative Pakistani Muslim. According to court records, Headley served as an informant for the Drug Enforcement Administration in the 1990s as part of the agency's efforts to bust a drug smuggling ring in Pakistan. A high-level U.S. law enforcement said Headley ceased working as an informant for the agency before the Mumbai attacks in November 2008. The official however did not specify whether Headley worked as an informant during the years he was training in Pakistani terrorist camps and planning the attacks.

"Americanized" Muslim is new Al Qaeda Leader

"Americanized" Muslim is New al-Qaida leader

According to the FBI, an al-Qaida operative who lived for more than 15 years in the U.S. has become chief of the terror network's global operations.

This is deeply disturbing on its face, but more worrying still are the silver-tongued stealth jihadists and Muslim Brotherhood proxies here in America who have infiltrated the most senior levels of government, State Department, Department of Defense, et al, and are working feverishly to subvert and overthrow the US Constitution.

Muslim Brotherhood fronts in the US include CAIR, MAS, ICNA, ISNA, et al. The Muslim Brotherhood is dedicated in its own words, according to a captured internal document released during the Holy Land Foundation Islamic terror finance trial, to "eliminating and destroying Western civilization from within, and sabotaging its miserable house...so that Allah's religious is made victorious over other religions."

Look at the unindicted co-conspirator, Hamas-linked, Muslim Brotherhood front CAIR, for example. CAIR founders Omar Ahmad and Niwad Awad (who still serves as CAIR's executive director) were present at a Hamas planning meeting in Philadelphia in 1993 where they and other Hamas operatives conspired to raise funds for Hamas and to promote jihad in the Middle East.

Several former CAIR officials have been convicted of various crimes related to jihad terror, and CAIR's cofounder and longtime Board chairman (Omar Ahmad), as well as its chief spokesman (Ibrahim Hooper), have made Islamic supremacist statements.

Ghassan Elashi, founder of CAIR's Texas chapter, in 2009 received a 65-year prison sentence for funneling over $12 million from the Islamic charity known as the Holy Land Foundation to the jihad terrorist group Hamas, which is responsible for murdering hundreds of Israeli civilians. Mousa Abu Marzook, a former CAIR official, was in 1995 designated by the U.S. government in 1995 as a "terrorist and Hamas leader." He now is a Hamas leader in Syria.

The media is utterly compromised. See this article: The Society of Professional Journalists: Why We Never Get the Straight Story on Islamic Jihad. They promote CAIR and MAS and calls upon them to opine on Islam in America, while CAIR, MAS, ISNA, etc., work incessantly to silence the voices of truth and freedom.

AP Exclusive: New al-Qaida leader knows US well

MIAMI – A suspected al-Qaida operative who lived for more than 15 years in the U.S. has become chief of the terror network's global operations, the FBI says, marking the first time a leader so intimately familiar with American society has been placed in charge of planning attacks.

Adnan Shukrijumah, 35, has taken over a position once held by 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, who was captured in 2003, Miami-based FBI counterterrorism agent Brian LeBlanc told The Associated Press in an exclusive interview. That puts him in regular contact with al-Qaida's senior leadership, including Osama bin Laden, LeBlanc said.

Shukrijumah (SHOOK'-ree joohm-HAH') and two other leaders were part of an "external operations council" that designed and approved terrorism plots and recruits, but his two counterparts were killed in U.S. drone attacks, leaving Shukrijumah as the de facto chief and successor to Mohammed — his former boss.

"He's making operational decisions is the best way to put it," said LeBlanc, the FBI's lead Shukrijumah investigator. "He's looking at attacking the U.S. and other Western countries. Basically through attrition, he has become his old boss."

The FBI has been searching for Shukrijumah since 2003. He is thought to be the only al-Qaida leader to have once held permanent U.S. resident status, or a green card.

Shukrijumah was named earlier this year in a federal indictment as a conspirator in the case against three men accused of plotting suicide bomb attacks on New York's subway system in 2009. The indictment marked the first criminal charges against Shukrijumah, who previously had been sought only as a witness.

Shukrijumah is also suspected of playing a role in plotting of potential al-Qaida bomb attacks in Norway and a never-executed attack on subways in the United Kingdom, but LeBlanc said no direct link has yet emerged. Travel records and other evidence also indicate Shukrijumah did research and surveillance in spring 2001 for a never-attempted plot to disrupt commerce in the Panama Canal by sinking a freighter there, LeBlanc said.

Shukrijumah, who trained at al-Qaida's Afghanistan camps in the late 1990s, was labeled a "clear and present danger" to the U.S. in 2004 by then-Attorney General John Ashcroft. The U.S. is offering a $5 million reward for information leading to his capture and the FBI also is releasing an age-enhanced photo of what he may look like today.

It's natural he would focus on attacking on the U.S, LeBlanc said.

There's more.

Bin Laden/Al Qaeda Fund Ground Zero Mosque

Bin Laden/Al Qaeda Funding Ground Zero Mosque Imam Rauf

*** Join SIOA and FDI on Sepember 11, 2010 at 2pm, on Park Place (between Church and West Broadway) as we pay our respects to the murdered and demonstrate against the Ground Zero mega mosque opening on September 11, 2011. ***

Think about this. The duplicitous Imam erecting a triumphal mosque in the shadow of what were the world's tallest buildings for a time, is funded by the very same Islamic supremacists who attacked and brought down those two buildings that housed a small city. 50,000 people worked in the buildings, while another 200,000 visited or passed through each day. The complex had its own zip code, 10048.

On September 11, 2001, that all came to a crashing, horrible end, when Islamic jihad brought the war to our shores and murdered 2,998 American citizens here at home. 10 years later, Islamic supremacists will open a 15-story victory mosque on September 11, 2011.

From a conference call with Berntsen and Rep. Peter King, R-L.I.:

“I am concerned about the fact that Al Qaeda and other militant organizations will target that mosque. They will infiltrate people into the mosque,” Berntsen said. “Once they have done that they will petition to bring their own mullahs in, or imams, and have them emigrate into the United States using our immigration law against us. I think it will be foolish to not recognize the fact that this mosque at Ground Zero will be a magnet for militants, that they will attempt to do this to establish themselves literally feet away from what is hallowed ground in New York City.”

“Militants are using these mosques. They are using front organizations against us. They Wtc_vert1 are using the west’s respect and tolerance for all religions against us,” Berntsen said. “We have to continue to respect everyone’s religious beliefs and allow them to have the ability to practice religions. We also at the same time have to be thoughtful about security, where we allow these facilities to be. We would not have allowed a Shinto shrine to be placed at the front gate of Pearl Harbor.”

I wonder if Berntsen knows how right he is. Righter than he knows. Al Qaeda doesn't have to infiltrate the mosque, they are already in. The Attorney General must examine and investigate the alleged ties and funding by Xenel Corporation and Imam Rauf and Daisy Khan. Who is Xenel? They fund the Imam and .....

The website lists Xenel Industries Ltd. as a primary donor to the Al-Falah Program. Xenel, a Saudi owned conglomerate, "provides development, manufacturing, investment, trading and services throughout a wide range of areas of interest" ranging from healthcare and infrastructure to oil and real estate, according to the company's website (www.xenel.com).

On December 10, 2002, the Orlando Sentinel published an article describing the research of a local trade union regarding Xenel, who had just been awarded a $100 million contract to build the city of Orlando a new state-of the-art convention center. The article reveals that Xenel CEO Abdullah Alireza sits on the executive board of Dar al-Maal al-Islami (DMI), a bank based in Switzerland. Haydar Mohamed bin Laden, half brother of Osama bin Laden, also sits on the twelve member executive board.

According to State Department records and the August 2002 brief filed by the families of 9/11 victims, DMI is involved in "al Qaeda financing through several of its subsidiaries, including […] Faisal Islamic Bank and Al Shamal Islamic Bank." During the 2001 trial of those suspected in the 1998 embassy bombings in East Africa, Faisal Islamic Bank was implicated directly in terrorist activities by former al Qaeda operatives: Ahmed al-Fadl, a finance manager for al Qaeda, testified that al Qaeda accounts in Khartoum were held at Faisal Islamic Bank.

Xenel also funds The Cordoba Initiative and Faisal and Khan's ASMA supremacist group as well. This, according to the World Economic Forum:

The Xenel Corporation, and others... endorsed projects: (hat tip to Lawrence)

1. ASMA Society: Muslim Leaders of Tomorrow
American Society for Muslim Advancement (ASMA)’s Cordoba Initiative proposed to convene young Muslim leaders from the US and the broader Muslim world to expand its network of Muslim Leaders of Tomorrow (MLT). The mission of the MLT is to foster a unified, uniquely American voice of Islam capable of accelerating the development of a healthy Islamic identity that is both western and closely connected to Muslim communities worldwide. MLT will act as a platform and network of emerging young Muslim leaders who are committed to this mission and have the capacity to act as change agents.

This connection between Xenel and al Qaeda, according to the Orlando Sentinel, was persuasive enough that the city of Orlando decided to cancel the contract it had previously awarded to Xenel. The involvement Bin Laden-tied Xenel led to the cancellation of a different 100 million dollar project in Florida. If such ties would cancel a convention center, why not a 100 million dollar Islamic supremacist mega mosque at the site of largest attack on American soil by these same players?

- Plans for a $100 million, 250,000-square-foot convention center in the Kissimmee-St. Cloud area near Orlando have been scrapped over claims that the developer has links to terrorism.

The Osceola county commission voted to abandon a proposed partnership with Xentury City Development Co. Officials of Local 362 of the Employees Union alleged that the CEO of Xentury's Saudi-owned parent firm may have ties to a bank that reportedly funds terrorist activities.

Current CEO Kahlid Alireza of Xenel is mentioned in the "Golden Chain" list.

The "Golden Chain" or a list purported sponsors of al Qaeda that was seized in March 2002 raid by Bosnian police authorities of the premises of the Benevolence International Foundation in Sarajevo. The list includes at least 20 top Saudi and Gulf State financial sponsors including bankers, businessmen, and former ministers. Part of the list included computer file titles "Tarekh Osama" or "Osama History", but the appellation "Golden Chain" itself is due to al Qaeda defector Jamal al-Fadl, who vouched for its authenticity; the FBI later also pronounced the document as genuine

Union questions come as talks over 'labor peace' appear to stall

KISSIMMEE — Osceola County's attorney will examine union claims of alleged ties between the owners of Xentury City Development Co. and the family of Osama Bin Laden.

"We aren't alleging anything," says Neal Kwatra, a Washington-based senior research analyst for the Hotel Employees and Restaurant Employees International. "We don't want to characterize this. We are just providing reproductions of publicly available facts."
[....]

Xentury City is the company selected to build the $100 million Osceola County Convention Center. Its parent corporation is Saudi Arabia-based Xenel Industries.
[...]

Shipley describes a 90-page packet of information that appears to indirectly tie Xentury's parent company [Xenel] to "less than desirable individuals, businesses and organizations."

Shipley says the union officials would not leave their information packet with him, "on the advice of their attorney."

The commissioner says he invited the union leaders to present the information at the commission meeting.

Morty Miller, president of Local 362, and Kwatra declined. Both men say they feel the information needs to be presented in its entirety in a calm, dispassionate way. "We wanted to sit with the county attorney and walk her through all the information," says Kwatra. "We didn't want a 'he said, she said,' circus-like atmosphere. We were discreet; we didn't take this to the media."

The union research in question reportedly describes a "close working relationship" in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, between two wealthy families: the Alireza family and the bin Laden family.

Although the bin Laden family name is now forever tied to Osama bin Laden, it is also known in Saudi Arabia as a $5 billion global construction enterprise launched by Mohammed bin Laden, an illiterate masonry worker and the father of 54 children, including Osama.

The bin Laden family link to Xentury City [Xenel] as reportedly outlined by the union goes through several connections:

• One major shareholder in the Al Shamal bank founded by Osama bin Laden and others is the Faisal Bank.

• A trust holds an ownership interest in the Faisal bank.

• One member of the board of supervisors of the trust is Abdullah Alireza.

• Alireza is also the managing partner and a major shareholder of Xenel Industries, the parent company of Xentury City.

Turkey's Links to Flotilla Terrorists

The Turkish Islamic charity behind a flotilla of aid ships that was raided by Israeli forces on its way to Gaza had ties to terrorism networks, including a 1999 Al Qaeda plot to bomb Los Angeles International Airport, France's former top anti-terrorism judge said Wednesday.

The Istanbul-based Foundation for Human Rights and Freedoms and Humanitarian Relief, known by its Turkish acronym IHH, had "clear, long-standing ties to terrorism and Jihad," former investigating judge Jean-Louis Bruguiere told The Associated Press in a telephone interview.

Bruguiere, who led the French judiciary's counterterrorism unit for nearly two decades before retiring in 2007, didn't indicate whether IHH now has terror ties, but said it did when he investigated it in the late 1990s.

"They were basically helping Al Qaeda when (Usama) bin Laden started to want to target U.S. soil," he said.

Some members of an international terrorism cell known as the Fateh Kamel network then worked at the IHH, he said. Kamel, an Algerian-Canadian dual national, had ties to the nascent Al Qaeda, Bruguiere said.

Among Kamel's followers was Ahmed Ressam, an Algerian who was arrested in the U.S. state of Washington in December 1999 on his way to bomb Los Angeles International Airport as part of an Al Qaeda plot.

"IHH had a role in the organization that led to the plot," Bruguiere said, reiterating sworn testimony he made in a U.S. Federal Court during Ressam's trial. Ressam is serving a 22-year prison sentence.

Bruguiere issued an international warrant for Kamel, Ressam's former mentor, who was extradited from Jordan to France in 1999 and sentenced to eight years in prison on terror-related charges.

IHH vehemently denies ties to radical groups. The group is not among some 45 groups listed as terrorists by the U.S. State Department's Office of the Coordinator for Counterterrorism (surprise, surprise!). Nine people on board the IHH flotilla were killed by Israeli forces on Monday.

"We are a legal organization," IHH board member Omer Faruk Korkmaz said late Wednesday in response to Bruguiere's statements. "We have nothing to do with any illegal organization," he said.

"We don't know Ahmed Ressam or Fateh Kamel," Korkmaz said. "We don't approve of the actions of any terrorist organization in the world." (How about HAMAS, which is on the State Department list?)

French investigators found in the 1990s that "several members of Fateh Kamel's network worked at the IHH as a cover," Bruguiere said. "It was too systematic and too widespread for the NGO (non-governmental organization) not to know" their real goal, he said.

The former judge, renowned for tracking down convicted terrorist Carlos the Jackal, said he didn't believe the IHH could have been infiltrated by terrorists without its knowledge.

"It's hard to prove, but all elements of the investigation showed that part of the NGO served to hide jihad-type activities," Bruguiere said. "I'm convinced this was a clear strategy, known by IHH."

The judge said he was personally involved in a raid with French and Turkish police at IHH headquarters in Istanbul in 1998, where they found weapons, false documents and other "incriminating" material.

"It was clearly proven that some of the NGO's work was not charity, it was to provide a facade for moving funds, weapons and mujahedeen to and from Bosnia and Afghanistan" — areas focused on by Islamic militants then.

In Istanbul, Korkmaz, of IHH, confirmed the late '90s police raid but denied that any weapons were found and said there was no evidence found of links to militancy.

Bruguiere would not specify how many members of Kamel's terror cell worked at IHH or give their names, but he said one of the suspects, a man from Bosnia, appeared in another terror-related case as recently as 2005 — though there was no indication at the time that the man still had ties to IHH.

Elements within the charity supported jihadi operations in the 1990s, Bruguiere said, before adding: "I don't know whether they continued to do so" more recently.

"But it seemed clear at the time that it was thanks to a measure of political backing within the Turkish government that it (IHH) could continue to operate," despite the strong suspicions against it, Bruguiere said.

Bruguiere retired from the judiciary in 2007 when he took part in an election to become a lawmaker in the conservative party of French President Nicolas Sarkozy. He lost his bid.

Bruguiere, 67, is now the coordinator for the European Union in a terrorism finance tracking program jointly run with the United States.

In Washington, U.S. State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley told reporters on Wednesday that "we know that IHH representatives have met with senior Hamas officials in Turkey, Syria, and Gaza over the past three years. That is obviously of great concern to us."
