Under Sharia Law Gang Rape Legitimate

This is unimaginable; and consider that the sharia is enshrined in the United Nations Cairo Declaration of [in]Human Rights.

'My life is in danger': Fears of Pakistani woman gang-raped on orders of village elders as 13 out of 14 men are cleared Daily Mail (hat tip David)

A Pakistani victim of a village council-sanctioned gang rape, who became a symbol of the country's oppressed women, says her life is in danger after the Supreme Court acquitted 13 men accused of the crime.

The ruling leaves just one of the initial 14 suspects in prison.

Mukhtaran Mai was attacked on the orders of a village council in Punjab province nine years ago as a punishment because her brother - who was 12 at the time - was judged to have offended the honour of a powerful clan by allegedly having an affair with one of its women.

Mai, aged 30, was an illiterate villager at the time but the seamstress defied taboos and shot to global fame by speaking out about her ordeal and taking her attackers to court.

Mai had accused 14 men of being involved in raping her in a stable and in 2002, a court sentenced six of them to death while acquitting the others citing a lack of evidence.

But in an appeal, the Lahore High Court not only upheld the eight acquittals but also overturned five of the six convictions. The death penalty for the sixth man, Abdul Khaliq, was commuted to life in prison.

Mai appealed to the Supreme Court in 2005 but a three-judge bench rejected her appeal on Thursday, said Gohar Ali Shah, a lawyer for Mai.

'I'm disappointed. Why was I made to wait for five years if this decision was to be given?' said a sobbing Mai in a telephone interview from her village in the eastern province of Punjab shortly after the court announced the decision.

'The accused can kill me and my family when they return home,' she added.

'I have lost faith in the courts, and now I am leaving my case to the court of God. I am sure God will punish those who molested me.'

In a further development, the Pakistan Interior Ministry today announced it would provide Mai with security.

Muslim UAE to Try 14-year-old for Adultery

UAE to try 14-year-old on adultery charges Herald Sun (hat tip her royal whyness)
A 14-YEAR-OLD Arab schoolgirl who has been detained in the United Arab Emirates on a charge of adultery will appear in court later this month.

"The trial will start in spite of the age ceiling set for trials on sexual related crimes by the UAE law," said the daily newspaper Gulf News today.

"The law states that the minimum age of suspects in crimes related to sex must be 15 years. Such cases should be conducted in special juvenile courts.

Otherwise, suspects are considered victims rather than suspects," the daily quoted a "law expert" as saying.

On April 5, Gulf News said police in the emirate of Ajman had arrested the teenager after she met up with her boyfriend on the roof of her family home.

She has since been forced to undergo a gynaecological examination which "confirmed she was still a virgin", the unnamed girl's father was quoted as saying by the English-language daily.

In police custody since March 22, the girl was being held with adult women and bail has been refused for her release.

The young girl was also locked up for three days in solitary confinement in a section reserved for Emiratis....

Young Palestinian Women vs Sharia Open FB Page

RAMALLAH, April 4, 2011 (WAFA) - A group of young Palestinian women Monday launched a page on the social network Face book known as concerned women t o discuss problems facing them due to discrimination.

The group described itself saying “We are a group of concerned Palestinian women demanding freedom from Israeli occupation. We also suffer from patriarchal society and the unfair laws against women in marriage, expenses, nursery, and child custody. In addition, there are no laws punishing the crimes of rape and honor killing, not to mention the unfair treatment women receive at work, home and in the street.”

The group added that its purpose is to give a forum to women to call for change, which many institutions concerned with women issue could not achieve because they are satisfied with holding futile conferences and workshops.
Buthaina Hamdan, one of the founders of the site, said that they created a page for the Palestinian women because Facebook plays a huge role in bringing change.

Bill O'Reilly - Qaddafi Brutalities

I had to rub my eyes. Bill O'Reilly, patron of Muslim Brotherhood-tied CAIR, was covering a story of rape and brutality against a Muslim woman in Libya. Typical treatment of Muslim women living under Islamic law.

What was shocking was that O'Reilly had Wafa Sultan on to explain. I hardly watch O'Reilly, and I fell off my chair. I don't think he had a clue who she was. And did she school him. His responses were completely uninformed, but no matter, Wafa speaketh.

Wafa Sultan was born and raised in Syria. She is a medical doctor who trained as a psychiatrist in Syria, and is an American author and critic of Muslim society and Islam, having self-identified as a Muslim, but not religious. Her must-read book is A God Who Hates.

POTUS Rejects World Jihad Favors Sharia

Although said by the regime to be affiliated to al-Qaeda, most LIFG members have focused only on promoting sharia law in Libya, rejecting a worldwide "jihad".

"Only promoting sharia law." So they are OK with honor killing, killing of apostates, clitorectomies, women as property, amputations for stealing, stoning for "adultery," hangings for gays, Jewish genocide, ethnic cleansing ........

POTUS Backs Al Qaeda in Libya

Libya: the West and al-Qaeda on the same side The Telegraph (hat tip Armaros)
Statements of support for Libya's revolution by al-Qaeda and leading Islamists have led to fears that military action by the West might be playing into the hands of its ideological enemies.

WikiLeaks cables, independent analysts and reporters have all identified supporters of Islamist causes among the opposition to Col Gaddafi's regime, particularly in the towns of Benghazi and Dernah.

An al-Qaeda leader of Libyan origin, Abu Yahya al-Libi, released a statement backing the insurrection a week ago, while Yusuf Qaradawi, the Qatar-based, Muslim Brotherhood-linked theologian issued a fatwa authorising Col Gaddafi's military entourage to assassinate him.

Col Gaddafi has pinpointed the rebels in Dernah as being led by an al-Qaeda cell that has declared the town an Islamic emirate. The regime also casts blame on hundreds of members of the Libyan Islamist Fighting Group released since the group renounced violence two years ago.

Although said by the regime to be affiliated to al-Qaeda, most LIFG members have focused only on promoting sharia law in Libya, rejecting a worldwide "jihad".

CAIR Demands Enforcement of Sharia Blasphemy Laws

Apparently a page torn from the quran was left on a "grandmother's" car with the words "fuck it" scribbled on it. Having witnessed so many of these incidents being committed by Muslims (faked hate), color me skeptical. That said, I certainly do not condone silly and sophomoric acts like this.

Having said that, so what?

It may be idiotic, but it is not a crime. It is only a crime under Islamic law, blasphemy laws under the sharia. Islamic supremacists groups and Muslim Brotherhood front groups create situations with the intent of imposing Islamic law on an unsuspecting American public. Fight Muslim Brotherhood proxy groups and the sharia.

As for the car being keyed ....... I say dust for prints. If it was a Muslim, is it still a hate crime?

CAIR-LA Seeks Hate Crime Charges for Vandalism With Desecrated Quran By CAIR

ANAHEIM, Calif., March 12, 2011 -- /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Greater Los Angeles Area office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-LA) today announced that it has called on the Anaheim Police Department to investigate a recent incident involving desecration of a Quran, Islam's revealed text, as a hate crime.

Earlier this week, a Muslim woman returning to her car after shopping for groceries noticed a piece of paper taped to her car. She then saw that it was a partial page torn from a copy of the Quran with "F*ck it" written across it in red. The woman also noticed foam sprayed on the driver's side of the car. The vandal or vandals had also "keyed" the car's doors.

American Library Assoc Caves to Jihadists

This is what it must have looked like in pre-war Nazi Germany. One after another, they all fall down.

The ALA is the same craven organization that caved and cancelled Robert Spencer in 2009 after Hamas-linked CAIR demanded adherence to Islamic law. "Do not defame or insult Islam." The ALA accommodates the sharia.

Check this out from SafeLibraries:

ALA Joins CAIR to Oppose Radicalization Hearings Sponsored by Congressman Pete King
ALA Joins CAIR to
Oppose Radicalization Hearings

The American Library Association [ALA] has joined with the Council On American-Islamic Relations [CAIR] to oppose Congressman Pete King's congressional hearings to "show [the] extent of radicalization in [the] Muslim American community." For proof, read the ACLU press release and letter to Rep. King.

What is CAIR that the ALA should align with it? According to Rep. Pete King, "to me it's a badge of honor to be attacked by CAIR which was named as a, uh, unindicted co-conspirator in a major terrorist financing case." Similarly, a group called Anti-CAIR says, "Let there be no doubt that the Council on American-Islamic Relations is a terrorist supporting front organization that is partially funded by terrorists, founded by terrorists, and that CAIR wishes nothing more than the implementation of Sharia Law in America."

Breaking Sharia Law

Dave Reaboi

Imagine a bill criminalizing only those individuals who knowingly engage in what has already been defined federally as material support for terrorist activity. Indeed, what if the bill were even more refined and targeted only the material support of jihad terrorist activity. Meanwhile, the bill in no way regulates or affects the peaceful practice of any religion. Who would oppose such a common-sense measure? Recently, in Tennessee, we’ve seen a ‘Red-Green alliance’ between the radical left and Islamists wound into hysteria over this very suggestion—that has, very plainly, revealed them as defenders of the jihad provisions in Shariah.

This crucial piece of legislation to prevent jihadist acts of terror is being considered now in Tennessee. The “Material Support to Designated Entities Act of 2011,” also known as House Bill 1353 and Senate Bill 1028, is on the cutting-edge of anti-terrorism legislation, because it would be the first of its kind to empower local and state law enforcement to deal with the enemy’s stated threat doctrine—the law of jihad, as enunciated in Islamic jurisprudence, or Shariah.

Infanticide on Rise in Pakistan

Why isn't Imam Rauf, the hater, taking his 'love' tour to Muslim countries? As if we need this silver-tongued snake schooling us in tolerance, women's rights, and respect, solely for the purpose of propagandizing the most extreme, radical ideology on the planet. And the clueless schmucks at Yale, Harvard, etc., are only too happy to lick his boots.

Thousands of babies are being found murdered (no word on how many in the rural areas, as huge swathes of the largely rural nation are left out of the count). Nine out of ten dead babies found are female.

Another note on the reportage and the media collusion in advancing Islam -- do you notice that when the horror of Islamic law (sharia) is exposed, the media calls it "conservative" Muslims? Get it?

These slaves are diabolical. It's not enough that they have sold out and submitted; they insist that you submit as well. "Conservative," my eye. Devout is the correct word. Pious Muslims.

Killings of newborn babies on the rise in Pakistan Yahoo

KARACHI (AFP) – The lifeless bodies of two tiny babies are being given their final bath before burial in Karachi, after they were left to die in the southern Pakistani city's garbage dumps.

"They can only have been one or two days old," says volunteer worker Mohammad Saleem, pointing at the two small corpses being gently washed by his colleagues at a charity's morgue.

In the conservative Muslim nation, where the birth of children outside of marriage is condemned and adultery is a crime punishable by death under strict interpretations of Islamic law, infanticide is a crime on the rise.

More than 1,000 infants -- most of them girls -- were killed or abandoned to die in Pakistan last year according to conservative estimates by the Edhi Foundation, a charity working to reverse the grim trend.

The infanticide figures are collected only from Pakistan's main cities, leaving out huge swathes of the largely rural nation, and the charity says that in December alone it found 40 dead babies left in garbage dumps and sewers.

The number of dead infants found last year -- 1,210 -- was up from 890 in 2008 and 999 in 2009, says the Edhi Foundation manager in Karachi, Anwar Kazmi.

Tragic tales abound.

Kazmi recounts the discovery of the burnt body of a six-day-old infant who had been strangled. Another child was found on the steps of a mosque having been stoned to death on the orders of an extremist imam who has since disappeared, he says.

"Do not murder, lay them here," reads a sign hanging outside the charity's Karachi base where it has left cradles in the hope that parents will abandon their unwanted children there, instead of leaving them to die.

"People leave these children mostly because they think they are illegitimate, but they are as innocent and loveable as all human beings," says the charity's founder, well-known humanitarian Abdul Sattar Edhi.

Most children found are less than a week old.

Khair Mohammad, 65, works as a watchman in the charity's vast graveyard in the city outskirts. It is dotted with tiny unnamed graves.

"We acquired this land to bury children after another plot was filled with hundreds of bodies," he says.

The death toll is far worse among girls, says manager Kazmi, with nine out of ten dead babies the charity finds being female.

"The number of infanticides of girls has substantially increased," Kazmi says, a rise attributed to increased poverty across the country.

Girls are seen by many Pakistanis as a greater economic burden as most women are not permitted to work and are considered to be the financial responsibilty of their fathers, and later their husbands.

A Pakistani family can be forced to raise more than one million rupees (11,700 dollars) to marry their daughter off.

Edhi says that up to 200 babies are left in its 400 cradles nationwide each year and that it handles thousands of requests for adoption by childless couples.

Abortion is prohibited in Pakistan, except when the mother's life is at risk from her pregnancy, but advocates say that legalisation would reduce infanticide and save mothers from potentially fatal back-street terminations.

According to Pakistani law, anyone found to have abandoned an infant can be jailed for seven years, while anyone guilty of secretly burying a child can be imprisoned for two years. Murder is punishable with life imprisonment.

But crimes of infanticide are rarely prosecuted.

"The majority of police stations do not register cases of infanticide, let alone launch investigations into them," said lawyer Abdul Rasheed.

Is Indiana the Next Muslim Conquest?

INDIANAPOLIS — A leading Muslim advocacy group is calling on Indiana legislators to reject a proposal a bill that would deny recognition of the Islamic legal system Sharia in the state.

The Tribune-Star of Terre Haute reports that Republican state Rep. Bruce Borders plans to introduce a bill saying the state "does not recognize Sharia law."

The Council on American-Islamic Relations said Tuesday that it has written all members of the Indiana General Assembly, urging them not to consider such a bill.

The group says the proposal is a "fear-mongering" attack on Islam and "un-American to its core." It says Sharia is a guide to Islamic religious practice and is similar to those I other religious traditions.

Indonesia's Aceh - modernization or return to 7th century Islamic sharia...

Indonesia ..........the country where Obama was raised and where he spent his childhood. Hat tip Caroline G

Since the tsunami in December 2004, in Aceh in northern Sumatra, the Islamic police have come out in force. Following the tragedy that hit the region, hundreds of Islamic police were deployed to track down "un-Islamic behaviour". Canings, fines and even stoning to death are the punishments that now await those who break the Koran's rules... http://www.france24.com/en/20100820-r...

The Indonesian province of Aceh was one of the hardest-hit areas when the Asian tsunami struck in December 2004. Since then, international donors have provided about 7 billion dollars in aid to the region. Now most of Aceh is back on its feet, and observers are highlighting its reconstruction as a rare success story. Al Jazeera's Step Vaessen reports from Aceh.....

Indonesia's Religious Police on Hemline Frontline - BANDA ACEH, KOMPAS.com - She wears a helmet and drives her scooter slowly through the capital of Indonesia's Aceh province, but Yuli is still stopped by the sharia police. Her crime: wearing tight jeans and a blouse deemed "un-Islamic". The 20-year-old lowers her eyes and doesn't argue with the khaki-clad male officers who summon her to the side of the road.

"I promise to buy a more Muslim outfit," she says, showing enough contrition for the police to wave her on her way. In one hour, 18 women are pulled over because the guardians of morality decide their slacks are too tight or their shirts reveal too much of their feminine curves.

Only three men receive the same treatment, for wearing shorts. "We have to respect sharia (Islamic) law, which has been adopted by the provincial government and which stipulates that women can only show their faces and their hands," sharia police commander Hali Marzuki told AFP.....

But this game of cat-and-mouse could take an ugly turn if a new regulations allowing the stoning to death of adulterers and the flogging of homosexuals is signed into law by the provincial government. The law was enacted by the outgoing Aceh Legislative Council on September 14, but it has been under review by the newly elected assembly and has not been signed into effect by Governor Irwandi Yusuf. Lawmakers in Jakarta have expressed their opposition to such draconian punishments, which could be declared unconstitutional by the Supreme Court and re-open old wounds about Aceh's hard-won autonomy.

"We have to be very careful in the face of such radical pressures," said Khairani Arifin, an activist for Acehnese women's rights. "Aceh could look like Pakistan one day," she warned. http://cempaka-tourist.blogspot.com/2...

Will POTUS Demand Flotilla-Like Investigation Iran Stoning?

Has his royal clowness Obama demanded a "flotilla"-like investigation into this impending Islamic atrocity? Ugh.

Just think about how Obama stood by this time last year and gave his tacit approval (via his silence) when the murderous mullahcracy slaughtered its own people. It makes your skin crawl.

Armaros snarks, "I guess we could take this up with the UN human rights counsel and women's rights body which Iran chairs....and Obamerica has joined.....

Will the US complain? or will it be "Respect it", the great Islamic republic of Iran."

Meanwhile 'Iran to investigate Canada's human rights violations'

Death by stoning imminent for Iranian woman CNN

The 42-year-old woman from the northern city of Tabriz was convicted of adultery in 2006, and her execution is imminent, said prominent human rights lawyer Mohammad Mostafaei.

Ashtiani was forced to confess after being subjected to 99 lashes, Mostafaei said Thursday in a telephone interview from Tehran.

She later retracted that confession and has denied wrongdoing. Her conviction was based not on evidence but on the determination of three out of five judges, Mostafaei said. She has asked forgiveness from the court but the judges refused to grant clemency.

Iran's supreme court upheld the conviction in 2007.

Mostafaei believes a language barrier prevented his client from fully comprehending court proceedings. Ashtiani is of Azerbaijani descent and speaks Turkish, not Farsi.

He has in the view of many fellow Dutch and supporters in the West of being falsely accused of engaging in hate speech and racism.
