Hamas Revelation

It never ceases to amaze me how eagerly the media - even the Israeli media which ought to know better - eats up the pungently odored garbage spewed out by the 'Palestinian' terror groups. Take Hamas for instance.

On Monday, Israel Radio reported that Hamas notes in its annual report that it has sent messages to the US in the past that it does not oppose the formation of a Palestinian state within the 1967 borders with Jerusalem as its capital. On that basis, Hamas wishes to begin a 'dialogue' with the United States. You've got to be kidding.

In the organization's biannual report, it was stated that these messages were relayed to officials in Washington through American political figures and academics that visited in Gaza.

The organization's Gaza leadership also asked the US to relax its restrictions preventing reconciliation between Hamas and Fatah.

Now, here's what they're not telling you. Yes, of course Hamas does not oppose the creation of a 'Palestinian state' within the 1967 borders with Jerusalem as its capital. But as a first step toward destroying the State of Israel (God forbid). In return for that 'state,' they are willing to give nothing. Not recognition of the State of Israel as a Jewish state or as anything else. Not an end of conflict statement. Not even a false exchange of ambassadors. In return, Hamas is willing to give a hudna, a temporary cease fire for about ten years, which can be broken when and if Hamas decides that it is strong enough to defeat Israel militarily.

What could go wrong?
