Violence Never in God's Name - Pope Benedict

ope Benedict has just released a courageous, magnificent tome on Jesus of Nazareth. In it he discusses Islam and Judaism. He is bold and true -- let us pray that Muslim hordes are not urged to riots or incited to a papal jihad.

The Pope has been attacked repeatedly by Muslim leaders for speaking out against the unmerciful slaughter of Christians and non-Muslims in Muslim lands.

We witnessed the violent and ugly Islamic riots against the Pope.

I think the Pope should be exalted and applauded for righting historical wrongs and showing, by example, how religious leaders must self-examine and correct what is wrong in their teachings or practices -- something Islam has been incapable of and unwilling to do.

4000 Muslims Attack Christians in Egypt

(AINA) -- A mob of nearly four thousand Muslims has attacked Coptic homes this evening in the village of Soul, Atfif in Helwan Governorate, 30 kilometers from Cairo, and torched the Church of St. Mina and St. George. There are conflicting reports about the whereabouts of the Church pastor Father Yosha and three deacons who were at church; some say they died in the fire and some say they are being held captive by the Muslims inside the church.
