National [Non-] Muslim Leaders Call For Two-way Street
By NY1 News
[Non-]Muslim leaders from across the country are asking for a "National Week For [Two-way Street] Dialogue" next month, in reaction to the controversy over a proposed Islamic cultural center near [and mosque in a building partially destroyed by the jihadist attack] on the World Trade Center.
Members of 20 of the nation's leading Muslim organizations [freedom lovers, patriots and defenders of Judeo-Chrsitian values] asked for tolerance and said that Americans of all faiths have the right to build houses of worship where they please [but this is not a religious freedom issue. There are hundreds of mosques in NYC and thousands of mosque across America. This is an issue of common decency and human compassion. We urge Islamic supremacist to abandon their support of a 15 story mega mosque at Ground Zero and show sensitivity to the 911 families and all Americans deeply offended by this flag of conquest.]
During the weekend of October 22-24, mosques [churches, synagogues and temples] are asked to hold open houses and welcome non-Muslims to visit and learn more about Islam [Judeo-Christian ethics and values.]
"It is a hope and desire that these events will help to allay tensions in society caused by the Park51 [Cordoba insult ] controversy and will build bridges of understanding that unite and strengthen our nation," said Imam Al-Amim Latif of the Islamic Leadership Council. said Pamela Geller of the Freedom Defense Initiaitve
[We know that] "Park51 [Cordoba] is not a case, it is a cause," said Nihad Awad of the Council on American-Islamic Relations. "We believe the entire nation has been engulfed into misunderstanding and misinformation. There has been a campaign against this project [the 911 families, millions of Americans] that we believe is unfair and unnecessary."
[...]
The coalition is also encouraging Muslims to reach out and attend services of other religions to increase understanding.

Mystery Persecution of US Muslims
Abdur-Rahman Muhammad on the Ground Zero Mosque
Good editorial in the NY Daily News by Abdur-Rahman Muhammad on the race baiting (Islam is not a race) and smear campaign being waged against us by the Islamic supremacists: NY Daily News: Whether or not Ground Zero mosque is built, U.S. Muslims have access to the American Dream
Excerpt via IPT:
That's the reason why the question of whether America is "Islamophobic" - now bandied about so casually, as though opposition to the mosque has revealed a nasty strain in the American psyche, akin to the terrible racism or anti-Semitism that once ran wild - is so deeply offensive. This loathsome term is nothing more than a thought-terminating cliche conceived in the bowels of Muslim think tanks for the purpose of beating down critics.
Muslims are everywhere in this country, doing practically everything. There are Muslim doctors, lawyers and businessmen - like Park51 developer Sharif El-Gamal, who went from waiting tables just a few years ago to being a multimillionaire. There are Muslim soldiers and CIA agents.
Could this be possible if America were Islamophobic?
Muslims have approximately 2,000 mosques across America, of which many have adjoining schools. Muslim children often receive the most elite educations this country has to offer. (My thoughts here go to convicted terrorist supporter Sami Al-Arian. Al-Arian railed against America from a cushy teaching position in Florida; his daughter later earned a master's degree from Columbia, and his son is working toward a Ph.D. from Georgetown.)
Surveys have shown that Muslims in this country are above average in both education and living standards. They are living the American Dream. Nothing and no one can (or should) legally bar them from what Abraham Lincoln called "the right to rise."
Given all this, how did the narrative of "oppression" and so called "Islamophobia" take root so strongly among American Muslims?
It began when Muslims began coming to this country in large numbers in the mid-1960s, after civil rights legislation opened the borders to Muslim countries. Like all new arrivals, they sought to find their footing in the new land and to locate allies. To that end, they immediately developed a close relationship with African-American Muslim leadership, some of whom had earlier come through the Black Muslim movement. They saw great advantage in attaching themselves to this movement's cultural icons - including personalities like Muhammad Ali and Malcolm X.
The term "Muslim-American" was created and put into use in order to racialize Muslims. (Indeed, where are the "Buddhist Americans" or "Hindu-Americans"? There may be "Jewish-Americans," but this term is used far more rarely.) This term gave many different groups of Muslims - Arabs, Pakistanis, Bosnians, etc. - a common "race" around which to bond.
This sense of victimization has now reached a point - especially given the consistent rhetoric of groups like the Council on American-Islamic Relations - that many rank-and-file Muslims now genuinely believe that they are a persecuted and oppressed group.
Has there been some ugly anti-Muslim rhetoric, particularly surrounding the Park51 project? Certainly. Are there some abhorrent, though exceedingly rare, acts of violence against Muslim people on the basis of their religion? Yes. Are some Americans ignorant of Islam and concerned about extremists in their midst? Yes.
But is there any consistent pattern of systemic discrimination akin to what other groups have seen at other periods in American history? Absolutely not.
Black Muslim leadership has foisted an ideology of victimization on immigrant Muslims, and it has stuck. Now we see these same leaders, fearing they have outlived their usefulness to the immigrant Muslim establishment, announcing the formation of a "Coalition of African American Muslims" that supports the mosque. It includes anti-Semitic race-baiter Louis Farrakhan and Siraj Wahhaj, who has defended the 1993 WTC bomb plotters and called the FBI and CIA the "real terrorists."
Critics of the Park51 project should see this for what it is: an attempt to conflate all opposition to this particular mosque with blanket hatred of the Muslim religion.
That's a devious tactic, and it must not succeed.

Tammy Bruce: Remember in November

Women patriots demonstrating against the GZ Mosque today in New York
I do have a few choice words at the end of this post. Here’s coverage of the protest today at Ground Zero and the pathetic complaints of Obama’s favorite Hillary Clinton Department funded Islamists.
Ground Zero Mosque Opponents, Supporters Turn Out to Demonstrate
Several hundred opponents of the project turned out in drizzling rain, chanting, “No mosque at Ground Zero.”
They carried signs saying, “You Can Build Your Mosque at Ground Zero When We Can Build Our Synagogue at Mecca,” and “Building a Mosque at Ground Zero Is Like Building a Memorial to Hitler at Auschwitz.”
“We don’t care what bigots say, religious freedom’s here to stay,” the community center’s supporters responded…
Daisy Khan, who, with her husband, Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, is leading the project, said today on ABC News’ “This Week,” that she fears the rising wave of opposition to the community center is an indication that Americans’ anger against Muslims is deepening.
“We are deeply concerned because this is like a metastasized antisemitism,” she said. “That’s what we feel right now. It’s not even Islamophobia, it’s beyond Islamophobia. It’s hate of Muslims.”
What Daisy Khan doesn’t seem to understand is that perhaps this isn’t about Muslims at all, but about Americans protecting and defending a site that is now precious to us. The malignant Narcissism of these people is astounding and so encompassing they, like the Obama admin in fact, cannot see beyond their own self-obsession. Little Daisy is loathsome–we didn’t start this, they did. We didn’t choose the location, they did. And the gall to claim opposition to the GZ mosque is “metastasized antisemitism” is the same as our own government calling Tea Party Patriots Nazis, UnAmerican, and the Mob. They’re all the same. There’s only one group of people who were mass murdered on 911 and that was Americans, not Muslims. And there has been only one group continuing to implement mass murder since then–Muslims. And there is one country that still calls for the mass extinction of Jews in the world, and it’s a Muslim country.
As Khan and her gang point fingers at Americans, another little reminder–since 9/11 we didn’t set out to annihilate Muslims around the world–we set out to free them. Thousands more Americans have died voluntarily serving in our military knowing they would be sent to the front line and whom ultimately liberated 53 million Muslims. And this detestable woman and her parasitic husband call us names as they decry that we haven’t gotten over 9/11 yet.
I’m convinced this mosque was Obama’s idea. The notion of it and its location. I think he knows he’ll be a one-term president and wants as much destruction to the American psyche as possible. The legacy this man is now establishing is a continuation of the terrorism unleashed in the 90s and defined by 9/11.
So do not blink, keep the pressure on the stop this atrocity at Ground Zero and…Remember in November.
