Castro favors more Democracy and Private Sector

Two transformative events have taken place with nare a whimper. But their significance is a gamechanger and a kick in the head to Obama and his policies of destruction. No to communism and yes to Israel.

Castro is breaking with communism and denouncing Iran's anti-Israel, anti-semitic genocidal invective.

Dateline--Havana, Cuba

CUBA TO WIPE OUT 500,000 STATE JOBS!

That's right, the last bastion of Soviet-Style socialism is going to encourage private development. Castro suggested during a nationally televised address that as many as one in five government workers may be redundant. The government is going to increase private-sector job opportunities.

Castro has long complained Cubans expect too much from government, which pays average monthly salaries of just $20 but also provides free education and health care and heavily subsidized housing, transportation and basic food. State businesses have been forced to carry many people who do almost nothing.

"Our state cannot and should not continue supporting businesses, production entities and services with inflated payrolls, and losses that hurt our economy are ultimately counterproductive, creating bad habits and distorting worker conduct," the union said.

Many workers were complaining the state was not doing enough to find them new jobs.

Even Cuba realizes socialism is a loser, but morons in this country keep trudging down the path to the "promiseland" I wonder how long we will have to wallow in the mistakes of the Obama-ites before we come to the realization the Cubans are at? Tenor Man
