I must point out to the good readers of Atlas how the media takes you for stupid and blatantly lies -- bold faced lies to your face. Alexander Melegrou-Hitchens in Standpoint magazine shows not even a scintilla of journalistic ethics in his latest piece: Pamela Geller Ignores Pleas to Cancel 9/11 Protest. Hey Alex, people can google. Is it any wonder these magazines and newspapers are dying a fast death? Faster, harder................
Pamela Geller Ignores Pleas to Cancel 9/11 Protest
Alexander Melegrou-Hitchens, Standpoint
Pamela Geller, the executive director of Stop Islamization of America (SIOA), has said she will ignore the pleas of a number 9/11 families to cancel a proposed protest against the Park51 Islamic centre on the anniversary of the World Trade Centre attacks
Melegrou-Hitchens should be fired, for the headline alone.
Melegrou-Hitchens is a bold faced liar. I left a couple of comments on the article, which they have not posted (shocka.) Melegrou-Hitchens cites Olbermann syncophant, the callous opportunist David Paine, a PR guy who is not a family member and who speaks for himself. Go here. Did he mention the statement below, representing the largest number of 911 families?
For the record, I would have canceled the rally, but due to the large number of family members who have contacted me and asked us to help them speak out for their loved ones and give them a voice to express their opinions, in all good conscience I could not postpone the rally.
Let me assure Atlas readers, I canvassed scores of families before I went forward.
