Geert Wilders: The Circus Will Go On

The dhimmi Dutch criminal court had a moment to redeem itself and stand up for the basic unalienable right of free speech. Alas, they dhimmied down and quivered and shook before the law of savages, the sharia. Yesterday, the Appeals judges in the hate truth speech case against Wilders rejected a defense motion for trial judges to be dismissed because of alleged bias.

In what can only be described as a heresy trial, the persecution of Geert Wilders continues. The truth on trial. Objective reality on trial. The West on trial.

It will seeve to increase Wilders' popularity and stature in the freedom-loving world.

Wilders trial: police complaint about perjury Dutch NL April 19th

PVV leader Geert Wilders is to make a formal complaint to the police of perjury against one of the witnesses at his inciting hatred trial.

On Monday, a special court panel refused to honour the Wilders’ camp call for new judges, because they refused to investigate statements made by Middle East expert Bertus Hendriks.

Wilders and his lawyer Bram Moszkowicz claim Hendriks lied in court about the motives for inviting another witness, Arab languages expert Hans Jansen, to dinner last May.

During that dinner, Moszkowicz claims a third witness tried to pressure Jansen about his evidence.

Following Monday’s decision, the case against Wilders can now continue.
‘The circus will go on,’ Wilders told the Telegraaf in a reaction.

Muhammad Was not Your Average Guy

Ali Sini posits that Muhammad is a narcissist, a paedophile, a mass murderer, a terrorist, a misogynist, a lecher, a cult leader, a madman, a rapist, a torturer, an assassin and a looter. Sina has offered 50,000 dollars for the one who can prove otherwise. Nobody has claimed the reward as yet. And no wonder, as the description is based on the Islamic texts themselves, such as the hadiths, the descriptions of Muhammad’s life from testimonies of contemporaries.

The historical Muhammad was the savage leader of a gang of robbers from Medina. Without scruples they looted, raped and murdered. The sources describe orgies of savagery where hundreds of people’s throats were cut, hands and feet chopped off, eyes cut out, entire tribes massacred. An example is the extinction of the jewish Kurayza tribe in Medina in 627. One of those who chopped off their heads was Muhammad. The women and children were sold as slaves. Confronted with the lunacy of Islamic terrorists today, it is not hard to find out where the lunacy comes from.

The Escalation of the War Against Free Speech

The war against free speech is raging all over the West. Wilders is still on trial. Juan Williams was fired. There is a 10-million-dollar lawsuit against me. And in Austria, Elisabeth Sabaditsch-Wolff, who spoke at our FDI event at CPAC in February 2010, is also facing trial for telling the truth. Get the details here -- and stand with Elisabeth and all freedom fighters.

Victory for Geert Wilders: Biased Judges Removed

This is a huge vitory. Wilders always argued that the three judges on this case were biased. Today three other judges ruled that the court had given a semblance of partiality. The case now has to start again with other judges. This will probably take months. And while it is true that these new judges might rule against Geert but with the public prosecutor demanding acquittal there is a much better chance that an unbiased court will acquit Wilders.

The relentless persecution and harassment of Geert Wilders is symbolic of freedom's struggle against the forces of oppression and evil. These are trumped-up charges in a kangeroo court hellbent on jailing one of the world's leading defenders of freedom and western values. On trial with Wilders is Churchill, Locke, Burke, Rand, Washington, and every individual who advanced liberty over slavery, individualism over collectivism, freedom over oppression.

"Newspaper De Pers: Judge Schalken of the Amsterdam court tried to influence expert witness Hans Jansen during a dinner. Mafiapractice."
-- Geert Wilders @Twitter

New trial ordered for Geert Wilders, the entire three-judge panel was dismissed on the following grounds:
- Remarks of judge Jan Moorse on Wilders usage of his right to remain silent
- Remarks by judge Jan Moorse that gave a value statement on Fitna
- The court’s rejection of hearing a key witness Mr. Hans Jansen again on how judge Schalken tried to influence him before the trial (hat tip Her Royal Whyness)

AND

During the deliberation time of the substitution court Wilders has filed charges at a local police station against Judge Tom Schalken for trying to influence a court expert witness. (more here at Klein Verzet)

Today Wilders accused Judge Tom Schalken of the Amterdam court that ordered the trial against him of mafia practices.

"Newspaper De Pers: Judge Schalken of the Amsterdam court tried to influence expert witness Hans Jansen during a dinner. Mafiapractice."
--Geert Wilders @Twitter

Newspaper De Pers today ran a story (NL) about expert witness Hans Jansen. It's about a blog posting of yesterday by Hans Jansen, who is a regular contributor of the Dutch group blog named Hoeiboei (NL). In yesterdays blog post Jansen wrote about a dinner for which he was invited only three days before his expert witness testimony in the trial against Geert Wilders (translation of this blog post by Hans Jansen here: Judge Schalken).

Hans Jansen was invited to a dinner by a 50 year old friend, Bertus Hendriks (NL), the friend however is also a leftwing activist for the Palestinan cause. Unknown to Hans Jansen were the other invited guests. It turned out several were judges and prosecutors, one of them was Tom Schalken. Of course Tom Schalken is not just a judge, he is one of the three judges who ordered the trial against Geert Wilders. During the dinner the judge repeatedly steered the conversation with Jansen to the Wilders trial. The judge clearly wanted to talk about it with Hans Jansen and influence his opinions about the trial. But Hans Jansen writes he was not very impressed by his obviously fake friendly way of convincing him.

In a way that can only add to conspiratorial mindset about this trial Judge Tom Schalken confirmed the dinner, and said there was not illegal about it. What was against the rules was that Hans Jansen spoke about the dinner publicly.

"I don’t know about the values at the Amsterdam judiciary. But it shows a bit, if I may use layman terms, that the court that ordered the prosecution of Wilders are a bit legal punks, not people with descent manners"
-- Hans Jansen @ Pow News on National Television yesterday about the dinner

The story has received wide public attention. Thus when todays trial begun, defense lawyer Moszkowicz refered to the press stories and asked the court to hear Mr. Hans Jansen again in court. The prosecution objected and argues that the incident was after the court ruled to prosecute Wilders and thus the incident was of no influence of prejudiced of judge Schalken. But Moszkowicz countered that he also wanted to know if the judge has tried to influence an expert witness in this trial and that his behavior could also clarify his earlier behavior in the court ruling that ordered the prosecution of Wilders.

Although, Hans Jansen was present in the court, the court rejected the request without motivation but in a rather cryptic way. They court said something like: they will not hear Mr. Jansen today, but that the issue will stay part of their deliberations and that they might hear him later if they deem that necessary.

After a short deliberation defense lawyer Moszkowicz requested for the second time a substitution court (Dutch: 'wraking') to ask for the disqualification of this court on grounds that he may not hear a key witness in this trial that can proof the innocence of Mr. Wilders and thus the defense can no longer assume the court is without prejudiced against Mr. Wilders.

The court of substitution is of course also an Amsterdam court. Thus the court of substitution is filled with the colleagues of the current court and with colleagues of the court that ordered the prosecution against Mr. Wilders. The question now is, how many dinner guest of Hans Jansen will be on this court?

Wilders Not Guilty!

The first hurdle has been won in the heresy trial of Geert Wilders. Islamic supremacists have failed in their relentless attack on free men. It is a good day for freedom lovers the world over.

On Friday, the court will decide if Wilders will be found guilty of incitement charges. Incitement by whom? It is the infidel, the kuffar and the moderates who are being slaughtered by Muslim fundamentalists, not the other way around.

Wilders spoke the truth about Islam. And there were no riots or murders, etc., by non-Muslims, unlike the blood spilled when devout Muslims are "offended." These silly charges cannot stand.

Prosecutors in the trial of anti-Islam Freedom Party (PVV) leader Geert Wilders say he should be acquitted of group defamation. Radio Netherlands

The populist Dutch MP is standing trial for defamation of Muslims as a group because of his comparison of the Qur’an to Hitler’s Mein Kampf. He is also charged with inciting hatred and discrimination.

Public prosecutors Birgit van Roessel and Paul Velleman now say his comments on the Qur’an referred to Islam and its holy book, and not to Muslim people.

In explaining their call for acquittal on the defamation charges, the prosecutors also explained that statements contained in the MP’s film, Fitna, referred to Islam as a religion and not to its followers. Even though the statements could hurt the feelings of Muslims, that was not the same as defamation of the group.

On Friday, the prosecutors will either press for Mr Wilders to be found guilty on the incitement charges or for him to be acquitted. If they call for a guilty verdict, they will also put forward what they consider an appropriate sentence.

Wilders Watch: FITNA on Trial

The free world holds its breath as Geert Wilders stands before a corrupt Dutch court and ....dares with his silence to refuse to sanction their enforcement of the sharia (Islamic law) and subversion of the blood and toil of centuries of progress. Free speech, free men -- essential freedom hangs in the balance. The leftist liars can package this horror in any shade of ribbon they want. It is what it is: the west on trial.

Here is the film that set this particular evil in motion. When I first viewed it, I was stunned by its shocking simplicity. If you haven't viewed it or seen it recently, stop and watch it. And you'll understand the terrible fight we are losing in the war of ideas.

Understand the premise here: Muslims were offended, so one man who spoke the truth may go to jail.

Islam is the New Spectre Hanging Over Europe

Go, Wilders, go! The trial has been halted after the presiding judge made a prejudicial remark. This is magnificent.

Is a "fair" trial even remotely possible?

For the most reliable updates, go to Wilders on Trial. Previous Atlas coverage of Wilders' ongoing heresy trial (for insulting Islam) -- go here.

Back in early February, the Dutch court adjourned Wilders' trial for nine months to give the three witnesses testifying for Wilders' time to schedule their testimony (Wafa Sultan was one of the witnesses -- her historical testimony is here).

If you missed Wilders' opening remarks back in January in his free speech trial, go here.

"Freedom is the most precious of all our attainments and the most vulnerable. People have devoted their lives to it and given their lives for it. Our freedom in this country is the outcome of centuries. It is the consequence of a history that knows no equal and has brought us to where we are now.

I believe with all my heart and soul that the freedom in the Netherlands is threatened. That what our heritage is, what generations could only dream about, that this freedom is no longer a given, no longer self-evident.

I devote my life to the defence of our freedom. I know what the risks are and I pay a price for it every day. I do not complain about it; it is my own decision. I see that as my duty and it is why I am standing here.

I know that the words I use are sometimes harsh, but they are never rash. It is not my intention to spare the ideology of conquest and destruction, but I am not any more out to offend people. I have nothing against Muslims. I have a problem with Islam and the Islamization of our country because Islam is at odds with freedom.

Future generations will wonder to themselves how we in 2010, in this place, in this room, earned our most precious attainment. Whether there is freedom in this debate for both parties and thus also for the critics of Islam, or that only one side of the discussion may be heard in the Netherlands? Whether freedom of speech in the Netherlands applies to everyone or only to a few? The answer to this is at once the answer to the question whether freedom still has a home in this country.

Freedom was never the property of a small group, but was always the heritage of us all. We are all blessed by it.

Lady Justice wears a blindfold, but she has splendid hearing. I hope that she hears the following sentences, loud and clear:

It is not only a right, but also the duty of free people to speak against every ideology that threatens freedom. Thomas Jefferson, the third President of the United States was right: The price of freedom is eternal vigilance.

I hope that the freedom of speech shall triumph in this trial."

Geert Wilders is our proxy. We are on trial. The Organization of Islamic Conference means to shut us all up. That's what they were doing in Chicago last week. Wilders is us.

Geert Wilders trial halted as lawyer accuses judge of bias (the notoriously leftist and morally bankrupt Guardian)

The opening of the trial, expected to last a month in Amsterdam, followed a successful weekend for the maverick Dutch politician, with his influence over a new rightwing government confirmed and a campaign speech in Germany aimed at establishing a trans-national European movement against Muslim immigration.

Wilders entered the dock amid heavy security and promptly affirmed his commitment to free speech, dismissing the charges against him while not entering a plea.

He faces a hefty fine or a year in jail if found guilty on five charges of inciting hatred and discrimination against Muslims and insulting their religion for likening, as he routinely does, the Qur'an to Adolf Hitler's Mein Kampf and describing Islam as fascist.

"I am on trial, but on trial with me is the freedom of expression of many Dutch citizens," he told the Amsterdam district court. "I can assure you, I will continue proclaiming it."

Wilders then asserted his right to remain silent for the rest of the trial, prompting a comment from the presiding judge, Jan Moors, which was challenged by Wilders's lawyer.

Moors said Wilders was known for making bold statements but avoiding discussions, adding: "It appears you're doing so again."

Bram Moszkowicz, representing Wilders, said the comment gave the appearance that Moors was biased and moved to have him substituted.

The hearing was suspended while other judges consider the complaint. They are to rule tomorrow on Wilders's challenge, meaning that a new panel of three judges could be appointed, delaying the trial by several months.

"I thought I had a right to a fair trial, including the right to remain silent," said Wilders. "It is scandalous that the judge passes comment on that. A fair trial is not possible with judges like that."

At the weekend, rather than comparing Islam to fascism, Wilders argued that Islam was the new communism, paraphrasing Karl Marx to declare that Islam is now the spectre haunting Europe.

[...] "I am standing trial … because of my opinions on Islam … and because the Dutch establishment – most of them non-Muslims – wants to silence me. I have been dragged to court because in my country freedom can no longer be fully enjoyed.

"In Europe the national state, and increasingly the EU, prescribes how citizens – including democratically elected politicians such as myself – should think and what we are allowed to say."

Israel's Extremely 'Dire Situation' in Europe

There is a debate within Israel over the broader implications of the cancellation of the local authorities' heads' trip to Holland on Sunday. Some commentators see it as part of a broader anti-Israel trend in Europe, while others view it as an isolated incident.

"You need to look at the context of Israeli-European relations. During the past year, the European Court of Justice in Luxemburg ruled on a seemingly financial issue, which carries long term political and legal implications."

Dr. Pardo referred to a ruling according to which Israeli produce originating from territories beyond the Green Line does not qualify under the criteria set by the trade agreement between Europe and Israel, and therefore cannot be exported tax free. That is to say, anything that is grown beyond the Green Line is not considered as being grown in Israel, and therefore is not included in the agreement.

"This decision critically influences Israel's future conduct in front of the EU," Dr. Pardo noted. "We are witnessing the qualification of a political decision in the legal echelons. As far as the EU is concerned, the ruling forced the 1967 borders on Israel. It is an unprecedented ruling.

"It is clear that as long as there are no significant steps to end the conflict, there will be no upgrade in relations with Europe," he added.

"There is an ideological gap between the two societies. Israel's situation is extremely dire in Europe. It is not considered legitimate as long as it is an occupier. Holland is one of the founders of the EU, and so its decisions accurately reflect the European public's position vis-à-vis what they consider an unjust occupation," he concluded.

In contrast, Dr. Emmanuel Navon, a European Union expert from Tel Aviv University, wished to calm the spirits. "At the moment it is the expression of a single country, and does not reflect the European Union's policy, because the EU has no de-facto stance vis-à-vis foreign and defense policies," he said.

Dr. Navon pointed especially to Eastern Europe, where he said "states hold much more pro-Israeli positions." Navon also named several Western European leaders with a pro-Israeli stance, such as Silvio Berlusconi, Nicolas Sarkozy, David Cameron and Angela Merkel.

"In the past," he noted, "Holland was the most pro-Israeli country within the EU, but its stance does not reflect the rest of the member states."

I would add that since the gentleman pictured at the top of this post recently won 24 seats in the Dutch election, Holland's anti-Israel policies aren't written in stone either.

Geert Wilders Speaks at Freedom Rally

Dutch Parliamentarian and freedom fighter, Geert Wilders, gave a magnificent speech. (Photo el marco)

Coverage of our rally is coming. The media is ignoring this historic event. Hundreds of newspeople there, no coverage. But here is the text of Geert Wilders' speech that he made before forty thousand in New York today. He addressed the cheering crowds:

Dear friends,
May I ask you to be silent for ten seconds? Just be silent and listen. Ten seconds. And listen…

What we hear are the sounds of life in the greatest city on earth. No place in the world, no place in human history, is as richly varied and vibrant and dynamic as New York City.
Complete speech at Atlas Shrugs
\\
My friends, that is why we are here today. What happens in New York must be seen in the perspective of the world. The events nine years ago made an enormous impact everywhere. Most people shared your pain, but, unfortunately, some did not.

Nine years ago, when the news of the terrible atrocity in New York reached Europe, Muslim youths danced in the streets. In a poll, two thirds of the Muslim immigrants in the Netherlands expressed partial or full understanding for the 9/11 terrorists.

If a mosque were built here on Ground Zero such people would feel triumphant.

But we, we will not betray those who died on 9/11.

For their sakes we cannot tolerate a mosque on or near Ground Zero.

For their sakes loud and clear we say: No mosque here!

For their sakes, we must draw the line.

So that New York, rooted in Dutch tolerance, will never become New Mecca.

But, let us also express our gratitude for the heroes of 9/11, those who went down in that Pennsylvania field, those who were standing freedom’s watch at the Pentagon, and those who were here in New York nine years ago to risk and lose their lives for the victims.

Friends, in honor of these victims, these heroes and their families, I believe that the words of Ronald Reagan, spoken in Normandy on the 40th anniversary of D-Day, resonate with new purpose on this hallowed spot. President Reagan said: “We will always remember. We will always be proud. We will always be prepared, so we may always be free.”

And, we, too, will always remember the victims of 9/11 and their loved ones who were left behind;

We, too, will always be proud of the heroes;

We will always defend liberty, democracy and human dignity;

In the name of freedom: No mosque here!

Muslim Cleric Calls for Beheading of Geert Wilders

Muslim cleric misunderstands Islam, calls for beheading of Wilder who will be speaking at our Ground Zero Mosque Rally of Remembrnces Jihadwatch

De Telegraaf, the Netherlands' largest newspaper, led its front page on Friday with a story on the speech by Feiz Muhammad.

The Sydney-born Muhammad has gained notoriety for, among other things, calling on young children to be radicalized and blaming rape victims for their own attacks.

The paper posted an English-language audio clip in which he refers to Wilders as "this Satan, this devil, this politician in Holland" and explains that anyone who talks about Islam like Wilders does should be executed by beheading.

De Telegraaf did not say when the speech was given but said it and the Dutch secret service both had copies. According to his website, Muhammad is based in Malaysia. (Like RAUF)

Wilders told Reuters it was "really terrible news" and that he was taking it seriously.

"I will ask for clarification from the Dutch minister of interior/justice why the secret service and anti-terrorism unit NCTb have not informed me before and what the consequences will be for me," he said in an email.

A spokesman for the Dutch secret service referred inquiries on the threat to the NCTb. A spokeswoman for the NCTb was not available to comment.

Wilders is currently on trial in the Netherlands for inciting hatred and discrimination against Muslims.

The Freedom Party leader made a film in 2008 which accused the Koran of inciting violence and mixed images of terrorist attacks with quotations from the Islamic holy book.

Wilders was also charged because of outspoken remarks in the media, such as an opinion piece in a Dutch daily in which he compared Islam to fascism and the Koran to Adolf Hitler's book "Mein Kampf."

Of late he has been in the news for plans to speak out against a planned mosque in New York City on September 11, the ninth anniversary of the attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people.

Geert Wilders to Speak at SIOA 911 Protest vs Ground Zero Mosque

Geert Wilders to Speak at SIOA 911 Protest Against the Ground Zero Mega Mosque

The honorable Dutch MP Geert Wilders has accepted our invitation to speak at the 911 demonstration opposing the mega mosque at Ground Zero. We owe him a debt of gratitude (Wilders came in third in the recent Dutch elections) for exposing the Dutch government's donation of $1,290,000 to Imam Rauf's "Cordoba initiative" -- first reported at Atlas here.

Geert Wilders demanded an explanation from House of Parliament on why the Dutch Government would fund the Ground Zero Islamic supremacist mosque.
eert Wilders will be speaking in New York on September 11 at a protest demonstration against the building of a mega mosque near Ground Zero.

By accepting this invitation, Geert Wilders expresses his support for the people opposing the building of a mosque near the place where Islam committed the worse atrocity of the past decade. The attack on the WTC towers on 9/11, 2001, was an attack on the entire Western civilization.

Geert Wilders to Launch Global Anti-Jihad Campaign

The AP story is so full of its own narrative (check out the adjectives), but the message is the same. We are on the offense, baby.

He distinguishes between us and those who on the fringe, like the BNP. His position mirrors mine on this. This is very exciting. They'll want to lock him up for sure, now.

THE HAGUE, Netherlands — An anti-Islam lawmaker in the Netherlands is forming an international alliance to spread his message across the West in a bid to ban immigration from Islamic countries, among other goals.

Geert Wilders told The Associated Press in an interview Thursday he will launch the movement late this year, initially in five countries: the U.S., Canada, Britain, France and Germany.

"The message, 'stop Islam, defend freedom,' is a message that's not only important for the Netherlands but for the whole free Western world," Wilders said at the Dutch parliament.

Among the group's aims will be outlawing immigration from Islamic countries to the West and a ban on Islamic Sharia law. Starting as a grass-roots movement, he hopes it eventually will produce its own lawmakers or influence other legislators.

He said he hopes to position the alliance between traditional conservative parties and far-right wing groups, saying that in Britain there is "an enormous gap" between the ruling Conservative Party and the far-right British National Party.

"The BNP is a party that, whatever you think of it, it's not my party — I think it's a racist party," Wilders said.

Wilders, who calls Islam a "fascist" religion, has seen his support in the Netherlands soar in recent years, even while he has been subjected to round-the-clock protection because of death threats.

His Freedom Party won the biggest gains in a national election last month, coming third with 24 seats in the 150-seat Parliament, up from the nine before the election.

[...]

But he is unrepentant and said he now wants to take his message outside the Netherlands.

"The fight for freedom and (against) Islamization as I see it is a worldwide phenomenon and problem to be solved," he said.

Wilders declined to name any of the other founders of the organization he is calling the Geert Wilders International Freedom Alliance. He said he would hold speeches in the five countries where the alliance will first launch in coming months to drum up support.
