Greek Orthodox Christians Betrayed in NYC

Photo provided by the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, Archbishop Demetrios, right, leads a vigil on the eve of the Feast Day of St. Nicholas to pray for the rebuilding of St. Nicholas Church (NY Daily News)

While Mayor Bloomberg wets himself in anxious haste to build the offensive Ground Zero mosque, the iconic St. Nicholas Greek Church, built in 1916 and destroyed by the destruction of the World Trade towers by Muslim terrorists, remains vanquished, unable to rebuild. Bloomberg is lobbying for 911 taxpayer funds for Islamic supremacist grifters behind the Ground Zero mosque, but the St. Nicholas church is in purgatory, ten years after the worst day in modern American history.

PROTEST THE DEEPLY OFFENSIVE GROUND ZERO MOSQUE --

Oh hypocrisy, thy name is Bloomberg. Nothing happens in this feudal city without the Mayor. All roads lead to City Hall. Why not tie up the Ground Zero mega mosque in this red tape morass?

St. Nicholas Church sues Port Authority, claims that agency is blocking church's reconstruction NY Daily News

A notice of claim was filed Monday on behalf of St. Nicholas Church and the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, declaring their intention to sue.

"This claim arises out of the arrogance, bad faith and fraudulent conduct of the Port Authority in preventing St. Nicholas from re-building its church at Ground Zero," the church says in its legal filings.

Church files claim against WTC owner WSJ

NEW YORK — A Greek Orthodox church destroyed on Sept. 11 is taking legal action against the agency that owns ground zero, saying it's reneged on a promise to rebuild the church.'

The Wall Street Journal reports that St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church filed a notice of claim against the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey on Monday. The papers seeks to compel the agency to live up to what it says is a "binding preliminary agreement."

This was a Vesper Service for the Feast of St. Nicholas and, nine years after the Twin Towers collapsed onto this tiny 80 years old church, it’s a mystery WHY it remains un-built.

Attack on Christians in Russian Caucasus

"Attack on Christians in Russian Caucasus," by Nina Achmatova for Asia News, November 3 (thanks to C. Cantoni):

Moscow (AsiaNews) - The North Caucasus is till burning and this time the target of violence are religious. Attacks on Christian churches and against Muslim leaders have taken place between 1 and 2 November in different parts of the region.

Local Christian leaders have been trying now not to foment tension and avoid pointing the finger at religious extremism, but the eyes of investigators and public opinion are all pointing in that direction.

At dawn on Nov. 1, three fires have occurred in as many churches in the Autonomous Republic of Karachayevo-Cherkessia. According to preliminary reports, the attackers set fire to an Orthodox church in Orjonikidzevsky, almost destroyed, then continued on to another Orthodox and a Baptist church. In all cases, the buildings wee [sic] saved by the immediate intervention of pastors and faithful, who, after calling the fire department, started to put out the flames on their own....

Christian leaders have taken steps to curb possible tensions with the Muslim community. Press and investigators immediately indicated the track of religious extremism, which infests the Russian Caucasus. According to statements by the Archbishop of Stavropol and Vladikavkaz, Feofan, there are no preconditions for talking about religious hatred in the region: "It was a well-orchestrated provocation, but we can not talk about inter-religious enmity, especially between Orthodox Christians and Muslims." "We can not blame Muslims, we can not judge people by individual incidents. Even policemen and muftis are killed and the attack has the same matrix: the intention is to destabilize inter-religious harmony, but they will not succeed", added the Orthodox bishop.

Almost to prove his words, news of the assassination of the imam of a mosque in Khasavyurt, in the Republic of Dagestan, with a gunshot to the head, authorities are investigating.

Iraq: Dozens dead following Muslim standoff at Catholic church

A siege by Iraqi security forces at one of Baghdad's largest Catholic churches ended on the night of October 31, leaving at least 37 people dead and twelve injured.

A group of gunmen wearing suicide vests walked into the Syrian Catholic Church of Our Lady of Salvation during Sunday Mass. They held more than 50 parishioners hostage for several hours and threatened to kill them if al Qaeda prisoners were not released.

The siege was finally broken on that evening when Iraqi security forces stormed the church. Iraqi spokesman Major General Qassim al-Moussawi claimed that five gunmen were killed during the rescue operation as well as one policeman a parishioner and one of the priests celebrating Mass.

The Christian community in Iraq has suffered persecution since the war. Many thousands have fled abroad. In this case it is still not known why the church was targeted. Some reports suggest that the gunmen had first planned to attack the nearby stock exchange.

Christian clergy and lay people have been kidnapped, murdered, and raped by Muslim terrorists and criminal gangs in Iraq, sparking the exodus of Christians from the country.

Iraq's Jews, who had lived in the region since the time of Abraham and during their Babylonian Captivity, were expelled in the 1940s and 1950s following the infamous pogrom known as The Farhud. Sparked by the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, one of the lead Muslim religious men of the region, Muslims went on a killing spree in Baghdad and elsewhere during the Second World War having allied themselves with the genocidal Nazi war machine in the Mideast's version of the Holocaust.

Vatican: Koran Encourages Killing Christians

Vatican: Koran encourages 'killing Christians' AKI

Vatican City, 22 Oct. (AKI) - The Koran is a text that encourages Islam to impose itself with force and permits the killing of Christians, said Lebanon's Catholic Patriarch of Antioch Archbishop Raboula Beylouni, addressing a Vatican meeting of Middle East bishops.

"The Koran gives Muslims the right to judge Christians and kill them with Jihad," he said. "It gives orders to impose religion with force, with the sword. For this reason, Muslims don't recognise the freedom of religion among themselves or others."

Pope Benedict XVI on 11 Oct. the opened the two-week-long meeting of 246 Middle East bishops and other religious leaders by lashing out against violence "in God's name".

The pontiff warned delegates to guard against the spread of "terrorist ideology" in the modern world.

Among clerics attending the meeting were Muhammad al-Sammak, political counsellor to the Grand Mufti of Lebanon, representing Sunni Islam; and Ayatollah Seyed Mostafa Mohaghegh Ahmadabadi, a law professor at the Shahid Beheshti University of Tehran and member of the Iranian Academy of Sciences, representing Shia Islam.

For the Jews Palin Offers Life Obama Means Death

You Decide

Here it is. The stark differences in two leaders. There it is, right there.

Sarah really is the best. Righteous.

Happy Rosh Hashanah
by Sarah Palin on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at 11:49pm

As Jewish families gather to celebrate the New Year and a new beginning marking the Day of Creation, I want to join them in praying for a good and sweet year ahead. This day marks the beginning of a period of reflection and repentance. It is a time to remember our responsibilities to our families, our communities, our country, and our world.

This is also a time to remember who we are as Americans and our responsibilities to help our friends and allies as they seek peace and security. The people of Israel have overcome so many challenges, taken so many risks, and made so many sacrifices in the pursuit of peace and a better life for their children. This New Year begins with a new hope for peace, but the threats to Israel – and to us – have not gone away.

These are challenging times as Iran continues to work on building a nuclear weapon, Hamas attacks innocents on the eve of peace talks, enemies refuse to recognize Israel’s right to exist, and even in Europe and the United States we hear voices from those trying to delegitimize Israel.

To our Jewish friends and neighbors on this Rosh Hashanah, may you be inscribed in the Book of Life. And for our friends in Israel, know that the American people will continue to stand with you in this New Year as you strive for peace and security.

Shanah tovah u'metukah.

- Sarah Palin

President Obama spoke to the Jewish people as they began their New Year, by addressing the so-called peace process. That was his message -- submit to suicide or homicide.

"At a time when Israelis and palestinians have returned to direct dialogue, it's up to us to encourage and support those who are willing to move beyond their differences and work towards security and peace in the Holy Land," the president said. "Progress will not come easy and it will not come quick. But today we have an opportunity to move forward toward the goal we share: two states, Israel and palestine, living side by side, in peace and security."

He is politicizing the Rosh? When Jewish children are being targeted and Jewish couples are being slaughtered in their cars? I heard no similar lecturing in his message to the Muslim world for Ramadan. Where was his council on Islamic antisemitism, kaffirophobia, gender apartheid, Christians murdered, as well as Hindus and Sikhs, the worldwide persecution of non-Muslims, or the Jewish genocide? The brutality and oppression of the sharia was absent from his remarks.

But he did come out for the Ground Zero Islamic supremacist mega mosque at the first of two Iftar dinners.

Christians Expelled from Indonesia

How many times are we force-fed the line by our enlightened betters that there are moderate, secular Muslim countries, even if the facts belie that very premise?

Indonesia, where our mysterious president grew up, is always held up as a shining example of such plurality, interfaith gobbledygook, and tolerance.

Look, it's not so bad; at least these Christians escaped with their limbs and head intact.

American Christians expelled from sharia-ruled Indonesian province Creeping

Apparently she has not opposed the implementation of sharia law there.

BANDA ACEH, Indonesia — Three Americans were expelled from Indonesia’s devoutly Islamic province of Aceh on Wednesday after locals accused them of trying to convert Muslims to Christianity, a local government spokesman said.

Immigration officials, however, said no decision has been made on whether Robin Kay Jordan, his wife Kelly and their daughter Claire would be deported. Proselytizing is illegal in Indonesia, the world’s most populous Muslim nation.

The Jordans, charity workers from California, were forced from their rented house in West Aceh district and transferred to the immigration office in the neighboring province of North Sumatra, said Mulyagus, district spokesman.

“They allegedly have a mission to spread Christianity,” said Mulyagus, who uses only one name, like many Indonesians. “Therefore we expelled and banned them from entering West Aceh.”

He added that they were kicked out for their own safety following rumors that the family converted three Muslims in the district to Christianity.

A Malayalam professor T J Joseph of the Newman College, who is under suspension for preparing a defamatory question for an exam paper, was attacked by a gang of five men at Muvatupuzha when he was coming back from church.

His crime - A question prepared by the professor for a Exam was offensive to Jihadis.

Government Action - Government who never misses a point to score when it comes to the matter of winning Jihadi hearts suspended the Professor.

Jihadi’s who have scant regard to rule of the land decided to impose Sharia punishment to this professor. Professor Joseph and his family were attacked by Jihadi’s today when he was coming back from Church after attending Sunday mass.

Repeated warnings of Hindu organisations in Kerala about the growth of Jihadi fanatics in Kerala were repeatedly brushed aside by so called ‘Secular Society’ as the propaganda of Hindu Communalists.

Please Don't Kill Christians

Khan became furious and said, “Are we lying to you? You call us liars, how dare you insult us,” Murtaza said. “Someone from the crowd hit something hard on her head, and she started bleeding. The children started crying and shouted for help. Razia kept shouting for help, ‘Please have mercy on us, please let my husband come, then we can talk.’”

Jamshed Masih said his daughter telephoned police as the mob attacked his wife and children. He said he later learned that “the people kept shouting, ‘This family has committed blasphemy, they should be killed.”

Before police arrived, his family was murdered, he said. Murtaza said Masih rushed home and was devastated to find the dead bodies of his wife and four children.

When Masih tried to file a complaint against Khan for the murder, Station House Officer (SHO) Ramzan Mumtaz refused to do so, according to Murtaza and Mall, the Presbyterian clergyman.

“He said, ‘Khan is an influential man, and he said your son has committed blasphemy – we cannot do anything against him,’” Mall said. Compass Direct

War on Christians

Jamshed Masih, a police officer who was transferred 50 kilometers (31 miles) from Gujrat to Jhelum, Punjab Province, said a mob led by Muslim religious leader Maulana Mahfooz Khan killed his family on June 21 after Khan called him to the local mosque and told him to leave the predominantly Muslim colony. Jhelum is 85 kilometers (53 miles) south of Islamabad. “You must leave with your family, no non-Muslim has ever been allowed to live in this colony – we want to keep our colony safe from scum,” Khan told Masih, the bereaved Christian told Compass.

Marxists & Jihadis Impose Sharia Law in India

Babu Suseelan, Hindu human rights activist, comments on this Islamic (sharia) brutality. Mr Suseelan spoke at our "Protest against the 911 Islamic Supremacist mosque here":

This brutal, inhuman, Sharia crime of chopping a hand of a Professor happened in the Marxist ruled Kerala, the land of Sankaracharya. What a shame! And Jihadis did it on a day time at a public road where on lookers were scared off with a fire bomb.

It is nothing new in Kerala. Few months ago a Hindu teacher was butchered alive in front of students in the class room. There is criminal nexus in Kerala against Hindus and our civilization. Marxists have been colluding with Jihadi terrorists for a long time. Criminal Jihadis and Marxist murderers are never apprehended, or prosecuted for their heinous crimes. These brutal chopping of hands clearly shows that Islamic destructiveness is active in Kerala. Marxists government has carved out a district (Mallapuram) for Jihadis. Now they have established a branch of Aligarh Muslim University in Kerala. The Marxist government wanted to introduce an Islamic Bank in Kerala. Thanks to Dr. Subramaniyan Swamy's legal fight and the court has banned it.

These criminal acts clearly shows their spiritual malignancy. Muslims and Marxists believe and practice destructiveness. They want to kill all non-believers in their own selected ways, fast or slow, sooner or later.

Our best defense against Islamic destructiveness lies in the courageous application of our strength and determination. To see all forms of Islamic and Marxist destructiveness from the standpoint of their dominant principles would seem to be logical progress toward preservation of our life and culture.

One would expect that in the face of these overwhelming blows at the hands of Jihadis and Marxists, Hindus would join together and oppose steadfastly to dealt with destruction caused by jihadis. But this is not the case.

Why not Hindus question the death instinct of Muslims? Why not Hindus unite and strongly and valiantly fight against Islamic brutality and Marxist violence?

Indonesian Muslims Target Christians for Death

Death penalty for Andreas Dusly Sanau , ...

In this Tuesday, June 29, 2010 photo, an Indonesian Muslim woman reads a banner with a picture of a young, bespectacled Christian man and the words: 'Death penalty for Andreas Dusly Sanau ... ,' in front of a mosque at Bekasi on the outskirts of Jakarta

The relentless torture, persectuion and slaughter of Christians by Muslims escalates. This story comes to us from Indonesia, the country Obama grew up in. Remember that.

He just promised them another 160 million and no, it was not to fight jihad.

Look at how the AP writes the headline "eyes the Christians," an incredible inversion of a call for mass murder by "conservative" Muslims- more of the mainstream media's Orwellian honor killing of the English language

Indonesian Islamists eye proselytizing Christians AP

BEKASI, Indonesia – A banner with a picture of a young, bespectacled Christian man is draped in front of a mosque, a fiery noose around his neck and the words, "This man deserves the death penalty!"

Churches are shut down. And an Islamic youth militia held its first day of training.

Though the events all occurred less than nine miles (15 kilometers) from Indonesia's bustling capital, making headlines in local papers and dominating chats on social networking sites such as Facebook, they've sparked little public debate in the halls of power.

"I really see this as a threat to democracy," said Arbi Sanit, a political analyst, noting leaders never like to say anything that can be perceived as "un-Islamic," because they depend heavily on the support of Muslim parties in parliament.

"Being popular is more important to them than punishing those who are clearly breaking the law," Sanit said.

[....]

Now, they are targeting Christians in the fast-growing industrial city of Bekasi.

Outsiders have steadily poured into the Jakarta suburb in search of work, bringing with them their own religions, traditions and values. That has made conservative Islamic clerics nervous. Some have used sermons to warn their flock to be on the lookout for signs of proselytization.

So, when 14 busloads of villagers arrived on June 30 at the home of Henry Sutanto, who heads the Christian-run Mahanaim Foundation, rumors quickly spread that he and Andreas Sanau, the condemned man whose face appeared on the mosque banner, were planning a mass baptism.

A spokeswoman for the group, Marya Irawan, insisted the crowds were invited as part of efforts to reach out to the poor.

The FPI was not convinced. Video footage provided by the hard-line group shows hundreds of people getting off buses and entering the residential complex, many of them women in headscarves holding babies in slings, and milling about the pool. When a questioner thrust the camera in their faces, demanding to know why they came, most just looked bewildered.

"Someone asked if I wanted to come," one woman said with a shrug. Others accepted a ride into the city because they were bored, and thought they would at least get a free lunch out of it.

When the questioner found Sanau, who had one ear to a phone, he asked if baptisms would be taking place. The 29-year-old Christian's brow furrowed. He shook his head, "No, no." Asked if he had an ID card, Sanau flashed it at the interviewer, who zoomed in on his home address. The house has since been abandoned.

"He should be executed!" said Murhali Barda, who heads the Bekasi chapter of the FPI. "He tried to carry out mass baptisms!"
