Our Govt Won't Protect Our Rights

Shahid Buttar, Truthout: "The PATRIOT Act has inspired widespread resentment across the political spectrum. It passed with a single dissenting vote even though most members of Congress have never actually read it. Provisions previously set to expire have been reauthorized three separate times, despite an equal number of Justice Department reports revealing massive and ongoing systemic abuses, including new ones invented during the Obama administration. And over 400 cities, plus eight states, have passed resolutions opposing the federal policy. Yet, it remains in place."

Afghanistan: Red Cross Betrays Employee

The Red Cross continues to fumble and stumble in its misson.

Recently I blogged on the unspeakable treatment of Christian convert at the hands of his Muslim tormentors. Afghan convert to Christianity is charged with Apostasy: "Crimes punishable by death ... and Afghan Convert Out of Islam Pleads for Mercy.

Now we hear that the Red Cross joins the cabal of savages by its complicity. Afghan judicial officials refused to bat an eye at the humiliation he endured in the hands of his fellow prisoners. Beatings, sleep-deprivation and sexual abuse are all a part of the nightmare that has unfolded after his arrest.

The Red Cross has failed in its mission in Afghanistan. It has repeatedly refused to intervene in its employee Sayed Mossa's case. It has even refused to deliver his mail. This once-great Christian organization has submitted itself to Islam and Sharia law. Yet it screams and cries about the US treatment of Guantanamo Bay prisoners -- prisoners who have not been beaten and sexually abused for their faith, but are being held because they wish to destroy us. During the holiday giving season, people need to be encouraged to support other disaster relief groups, since the Red Cross has obviously lost its moral compass. (hat tip Danielle B)

I would not send then my hard earned dollars this holiday season. I would not.

The Red Cross won't intervene on behalf of Gilad Shalit, either. Posers. Hypocrites.

This from Persecution.org:

Red Cross Neglects Arrested Afghan Employee for Converting to Christianity

Refuses to Deliver Prisoner’s Mail

Washington, D.C. (December 14, 2010) – International Christian Concern (ICC) has learned that the Red Cross in Afghanistan (ICRC) has not intervened on behalf of a long-term employee who was arrested and imprisoned because he is Christian. This, despite that the Red Cross mandate includes “visiting prisoners” and “helping victims of conflict and internal violence, whoever they are.”

Sayed Mossa worked 15 years in ICRC’s orthopedic department in Kabul assisting amputees. In late May, footage of Muslim converts to Christianity being baptized was aired in Afghanistan. The broadcast triggered nationwide protests and a government-led crackdown against Christians. On May 31, being a Muslim convert to Christianity, Mossa was arrested by security officers working with the Ministry of Interior.

Aid workers in Kabul immediately contacted the Red Cross after hearing of the arrest. “The Protection office told us that Mossa will be visited like the others and that we must not interfere with their job. We are not his family and they will not tell us anything. We told them that he has been sexually abused and his condition has deteriorated badly, but nothing could move them,” said a friend of Mossa’s who inquired about his safety. When Mossa’s wife asked for help, the Red Cross paid her Mossa’s salary, but reportedly said they would not intervene to liberate her husband. It was two months before Mossa’s wife had heard where he was being held. She was not notified by the Red Cross, but by a released prisoner who had served time with Mossa.

In a final meeting with Reto Stocker, head of the Red Cross in Kabul, Mossa’s friends were again told that ICRC is neutral and would not intervene. They were also asked to not make the case public.

In another breach of the Red Cross’ mission, they refused to deliver hundreds of letters addressed to Mossa. Westerners organized the letter-writing campaign to both encourage the Christian and to publicly display the international community’s concern over his plight. “They won’t deliver the letters to Sayed. The Red Cross does not have the right to keep the letters from him. It’s their responsibility to ensure he receives letters written to him via the Red Cross address,” said an aid worker in Kabul who helped organize the campaign.

“If the Red Cross refuses to do something they stand for, shouldn’t the world know about such a gross violation of their stated practices?” said another aid worker. “I mean, if donors support the Red Cross’ work because of what they declare they do, shouldn’t the Red Cross be reproved for their refusal to do (the work they are supposed to do)?”

Aidan Clay, ICC Regional Manager for the Middle East, said, “Sayed Mossa has now been in prison for nearly six months without legal representation or equal protection. The Red Cross, his employer, did not visit Mossa in prison until two months after his arrest, and would not intervene because he was arrested on religious grounds. Moreover, they have blatantly refused to deliver letters to Sayed which are rightfully his. We urge those concerned about the Red Cross’ behavior to call the Red Cross in their country and politely express their views.”

Female Genital Mutilation Recommended by Islam

Kurdistan region 'Iraq', — The Imam of Hajji Osman Alaf Mosque in Iraqi Kurdistan’s second largest city, Sulaimaniyah, has told his followers that anyone who believes female circumcision is not a recommendation from the prophet Mohammed is “ignorant.”

During his Friday sermon on December 3rd, Imam Mala Yassin Hakim Piskandi said female circumcision was a “Sunnah," a term used to refer to the practices carried out or recommended by Mohammed, the prophet of Islam.

He said, the Sunni Shafeyi, a school of jurisprudence which most Kurds follow, took a tougher stance regarding female circumcision, considering it an “obligation," but that the other three Sunni schools of jurisprudence regarded it merely as a Sunnah, meaning it was recommended, but not compulsory.

“When men and women have intercourse, their sexual organs should be circumcised and clean,” he quoted Prophet Mohammed as saying.

He added that practicing a Sunnah act is “good,” but that not practicing it is “not sinful.” But in some cultures, including among some Kurds, uncircumcised women are regarded as unclean and are not allowed to cook.

Young Convert to Christianity Shot to Death

Islamic law (sharia) for converts is death. The media and cultural elites who ignore this rampant Islamic supremacism and gender apartheid are as guilty as the murderers.

Where is radical Rauf on these crimes against humanity?

Young teen murdered for turning from Islam to Christianity MNN Online

Somalia (MNN) ― A 17-year-old girl was shot to death in Somalia for her faith in Christ, says Voice of the Martyrs, Canada.

Nurta Mohamed Farah was shot in the chest and the head by suspected family members as an "honor killing."

According to Compass Direct News, when Farah's parents found out last May that she had turned from Islam to Christianity, they offered her forgiveness if she'd denounce her new faith. When Farah refused, her parents believed her to be crazy. They gave her medication and made her sit through biweekly readings of the Q'uran, hoping that the combination would cure her "mental illness." When it was clear that Farah's heart would remain with Christ, her parents began to torture her.

Farah was reportedly shackled to a tree by day and kept in a dark room at night. Eventually the young girl was able to escape and fled to live with relatives.

This new home did not prove to be a safe haven for long. Just 200 meters from the place Farah was staying, two unidentified men shot her to death. Sources strongly suspect the men were either relatives themselves or working for them.

Onset of Puberty No Excuse for Marriage

Wedlock Abuse: Underage brides in Yemen prepare for a life of servitude. (© IRIN)

There are no distinctions between child marriage and slavery. If anything, child marriage is worse: The child, unlike an adult slave (or a slave with his or her parents around) is entirely at the mercy of her "husband."

**Crickets chirping** The crickets have died from exhaustion. I have come to the conclusion that feminists are misogynists. Their silence is fatal.

Underage marriages are allowed in Islam, says Nazri

Kuala Lumpur: Minister in the Prime Minister's Department in charge of legal affairs has shot down calls to ban underage marriage, despite an uproar over the recent wedding of a 14-year-old Muslim school girl.

Siti Maryam Mahmod wed 23-year-old teacher Abdul Manan Othman last weekend in a mass wedding at a major mosque, after being given permission in an Islamic Sharia court.

Malaysian Muslims below the age of 16 are allowed to marry as long as they obtain the permission of the religious courts.

Sharia law runs in parallel with civil law in the multi-ethnic country.

However, Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz said the Government has no plan to review laws allowing for underage marriages because the practice is permitted under Islam.

"If the religion allows it, then we can't legislate against it," he told a press conference.

"Islam allows it as long as the girl is considered to have reached her pubescent stage, once she has her menstruation."

However, Siti Maryam's marriage has sparked criticism including from Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil, who insisted the Government did not condone the practice.

Activist groups have also called for the laws that allow underage marriage to be repealed, saying that the practice is widespread with some 16,000 Malaysian girls aged below 15 already married.

"The onset of puberty is no indication of sufficient maturity for marriage," pressure group Sisters in Islam said this week, citing a passage in the Koran which also requires "maturity of mind".

"No marriage of a minor child can be deemed acceptable," said the group's spokeswoman Yasmin Masidi.

Turn! Turn! Turn! (to Everything There Is A Season)

A Time to Hate
Using a bereaved husband's reaction to the death sentence handed earlier this week to the man who raped and murdered the husband's wife and daughters, Rabbi Shmuley Boteach passes on an important lesson that many of us have forgotten: As it says in Ecclesiastes (Koheleth), there's a time to hate.

Over the past few years many of us have lost our moral bearings on the subject of evil and human suffering. Many of my Christian brothers and sisters take Jesus' teachings about forgiving our enemies completely out of context. Jesus said to forgive your enemies. Your enemy is the guy who steals your parking space. But God's enemies are men who can rape and slaughter two young women and their mother and torture them before doing so. In Ecclesiastes King Solomon famously says "there is a time to love and a time to hate." This is that time. We must love the Petit family and hate their murderers. Yes, hatred is a valid emotion when directed at the truly evil.

No, I do not believe in revenge. I believe in justice. But only a true hatred of evil compels us to fight wickedness with every legitimate means at our disposal.

When I lived in England during some of the worst years of the Northern Ireland troubles I once heard a man whose father was killed by the IRA for no reason other than he was a Protestant immediately say that as a Christian he is compelled to love his father's murderers. He said he forgave them for killing his father. But no human being, even the man's son, can confer such forgiveness. The act of taking a human life is a crime against God who created life and endowed it with infinite worth. And such acts of misguided magnanimity and forgiveness make a mockery of human love and a shambles of human justice. Murder in cold blood dare not be forgiven. Murderers who have erased the image of God from their countenance through savage acts of brutality have removed themselves from the human family. They are not our brothers and we are under no obligation to love them. Indeed, any love we have in our hearts must be directed at the victims of violence rather than at their culprits.

Yes, Jesus said 'turn the other cheek.' But is anyone so morally lost as to suggest that he meant if someone rapes your wife, give him your daughter to rape as well? Of course, what Jesus meant was to forgive the petty slights that people enact against you. If a friend pretends not to notice you at a party, forgive them. If your husband loses his temper and yells, yes he must apologize. But be quick to forgive. But Jesus never meant that we should not dedicate ourselves to fighting evil.

Psalm 97 makes it clear. "Let those who love the Lord hate evil." It's repeated again in Proverbs Chap 8: "The fear of the Lord is to hate evil." Yes, hatred has its place, but only under a single condition that was met in the terrible Petit murders: the human confrontation with extreme evil.

I believe there's an important lesson here for Israelis and how we relate to 'Palestinian' terror. There's nothing wrong with hating the terrorists and those who support them. They are extreme evil.

Saudi Arabia Elected to New Women's Rights Council

This defies western logic, but not the agenda of the OIC-driven, sharia compliant UN. Saudi Arabia, where a 32-year-old woman is jailed for disobeying her father, where a pregnant gang-rape victim is sentenced to 100 lashes for committing adultery, where women are not allowed to drive, where women are lashed for being in the company of any male who is not a relative, where a 75-year-old could be flogged for breaching sex segregation rules, where a Saudi father weds his daughter, 10, to an 80-year-old pervert: "according to the shari'a his marriage is legal as long as the girl's father consents," where a child bride is turned back over to her 80-year-old husband........... must I go on?

And yet Obama continues to advance international law (the sharia) while reliquishing American sovereignty.

Rights groups condemn election of Saudi Arabia to UN's new women's rights agency, laud defeat of Iran UNwatch.org

New York, November 10, 2010 – Human rights groups condemned today's election of Saudi Arabia to the governing board of the UN's new women's rights agency.

"It's morally perverse to reward a country that lashes rape victims, and that systematically subjugates women in every walk of life, with the power to negatively influence the global protection of women's rights," said Hillel Neuer, executive director of the Geneva-based UN Watch, who is currently visiting New York to monitor today's vote.

UN Watch organized a worldwide internet campaign to mobilize public opinion against the candidacies of Iran and Saudi Arabia: www.facebook.com/stopiran. The non-governmental human rights group lauded the democratic governments who pushed to defeat Iran, but Neuer expressed "deep regret that there has been complete silence on the offensive election of the fundamentalist and misogynist regime in Riyadh. The realpolitik of oil should never justify actions that legitmize the discrimination of women."

Obama Adviser Decries Anti-Muslim Sentiments

"The things you can say about Islam you can't say about any other faith," Rashad Hussain, Special Envoy to the Organization of the Islamic Conference, said Saturday night at the annual fund-raising dinner of the Institute for Social Policy and Understanding, a Muslim-founded think tank based in Clinton Township. "During tough economic times, groups that are seen to be the other ... the scapegoating can increase."

Hussain travels the world on behalf of the U.S. government to improve outreach to the Muslim world. Metro Detroit has a sizeable Muslim population.

Hussain said he's concerned about the increasing vitriol directed at Muslims, which he said may be due to their increasing visibility in the U.S.

It's a "reaction to a lot of progress made by Muslim communities," he said.

It's a reaction to Islamic supremacism, gender apartheid, suppression and oppression.

When he was growing up in the U.S, Hussain recalled that many didn't know too much about Islam. But now, it's more well known, he said.Hussain said that the backlash against Muslim-Americans has precedent in the U.S., as African-Americans, Jewish-Americans, Irish-Americans, Japanese-Americans, and Chinese-Americans have faced similar challenges.

He urged the Muslim-American crowd at the Livonia dinner to form alliances with other groups, noting that Jewish-Americans have been active in fighting for the rights of other groups in American history.

One challenge for Muslim-Americans, said Hussain, is that "Muslims are still seen as an aggressor" because of terrorists like Osama bin Laden and the Times Square bomber.

At one point during his talk, Hussain recited in fluent Arabic a verse from the Quran, Islam's holy book, that says killing one innocent life is like killing all of humanity. He said that there is a consensus of Islamic scholars that terrorism is against their faith, but "we continue to lose people to this ideology" of extremism.

One challenge is the Internet, where young Muslims are enticed to become terrorists, he said.

Hussain also attacked ethnic divisions among Muslim-Americans.

A graduate of Yale Law School, Hussain once worked for U.S. Rep. John Conyers (D-Detroit) on the House Judiciary Committee. He is a hafiz, meaning someone who has memorized the Quran.

He had breakfast Saturday morning at the Islamic Center of America in Dearborn before his talk at the dinner by the Institute for Social Policy and Understanding. The Institute is a think tank founded primarily by South Asian Muslims who hope it one day becomes as noted as think tanks like the Brookings Institution. Other speakers during the dinner noted the importance of think tanks in forming policy in the U.S.

Saturday night's dinner raised about $226,000 for the Institute.

World Jihadism - A View from Canada

Here is an informed Canadian's view of things. I don't agree that the situation is hopeless. As long as free men are willing to fight for what freedom, we will win no matter how overwhelming the odds. If history has taught us anything, it is that.

Pamela,

I’m a “middle aged” man living in Nova Scotia, Canada. This is a country where we are willing to give up everything sacred & traditional for the sake of “multiculturism”. Our children were taught in our schools to “respect differences”. This essentially meant giving up our customs to anyone who entered our country and complained about discrimination. The ugliest insult you can give someone now in this country is to call them a bigot, racist, homophobic or Islamophobic. The most insidious one is “Islamophobic”. If you dare to mention anything regarding Muslims and terror, you are immediately branded. Our media here bends over backwards to insure that Muslim and terror don’t appear together. You get the picture.

Today, our national radio service, the CBC, has an article on the Campbell Soup story. http://www.cbc.ca/consumer/story/2010/10/18/con-campbell-boycott.html I was most interested in seeing what the comments would look like. Predictably, most trash you. I’m sure no one knows you, or have read your blog. Just the fact that you dare to criticize Muslims relegates you to the trash bin. The sad reality is that hardly anyone cares, nor takes the time to see what Muslims are doing around the world, in the new caliphate. I have been studying Muslim terrorism for well over 25 years, and came to the conclusion a long time ago that the rising tide of Islamic terrorism is the greatest threat to the world today. I will put China in #2 spot! However, anyone who is bold enough to point out what radicalized muslims are up to around the globe is instantly demonized. You can see comments for yourself in the link to the story. In most Canadians eyes, brave souls such as you and Spenser are the real demons/hate mongers, and muslims are the ones to be pampered and protected.

To me, this is incomprehensible. There is nothing rational or logical about this phenomena. I once had hope that folk would wake up…I truly thought 911 would do it. Sadly, it didn’t. Then I thought that attacks against Canada by muslim fanatics would do it. They didn’t. I now have lost hope in our society, and now realize we will go the way of many of the EU countries. I fear for you, and others who are bold enough to stand up and speak the truth.

In the 60’s, while I was in university, if you dared to criticize communism, you were branded a “McCarthyite” or a rabid right winger. Perhaps now that the liberal/left don’t have communism as their pet, they now champion Islam? I suspect that anything that the right (aka fascists to the left) dislikes or is suspicious of, the left has no choice but to love, for fear of agreeing with the hated, despised “right”.

Keep up the good fight, and stay safe.

Explosion in Hamas commander's house

Gazans tiring of being human shields?

On Monday, an explosion in the home of a senior Hamas commander destroyed eight homes, damaged 30 more, and wounded more than 50 people. The home, in the Dir el-Balach 'refugee camp,' was being used to manufacture weapons. Local residents knew about the home-based weapons factory and had begged that it be removed.
A fair number of camp residents actually complained to the Media Line about this incident.

“Usually when such explosions occur the armed groups in Gaza announce it’s Israel’s fault,” Hamdi Shaqqura, deputy director for program affairs at the Gaza-based Palestinian Center for Human Rights, told The Media Line.

“But our investigations often find that this is not the case.”

Shaqqura said armed groups try to hide the existence of bombs in residential areas, because local residents “would not agree to live on a barrel of explosives.”

The rights group sent a team of field researchers and attorneys to collect testimony from victims and eyewitnesses following the explosion. Witnesses told the rights group they saw a red glow emanating from the house before the explosion.

Isma’il Younis, 12, a neighbor, told The Media Line he was home watching TV when a red ray appeared, followed by a huge boom that rocked the house, cutting electricity and sending plumes of smoke into the air.

Another neighbor added that the moment of the explosion felt like an earthquake, and she was unable to see her children due to the density of smoke and dust.

Early in the morning following the blast, eyewitnesses in Deir el-Balah told The Media Line, six Hamas minivans arrived to collect debris from the site. Witnesses also told the Palestinian Center for Human Rights that they saw Hamas activists surround the house in question and collect shrapnel and bombs, removing any evidence of weapons.

The rights group concluded that the explosion ignited within the house and occurred “for no apparent reason, similar to some incidents in the past.”

The group speculated that the explosion was caused by faulty manufacturing or bad storage of bombs.

But Hamas could care less about their own people, and are more than happy to endanger them. I'm sure that there are many who would like to leave. If western countries could be found who would take them, maybe the next war we can help Gazans leave instead of having them wander around from place to place in Gaza.

Negeen's Arrest at Dearborn Arab Festival (Video Footage)

Here's the video footage from Negeen's camera while she was being assaulted by Dearborn Police. In any other city, in any other state, police officers would recognize her Constitutional rights. But this is Dearborn. They can accuse a Christian of anything, and violate her rights in any way they see fit.

If this doesn't make your blood boil, nothing will.

United Nations Defines Censorship as a Human Right

The United Nations believes that the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) has a “human right” to impose censorship on the media to “promote (Muslim) religious tolerance.” UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon will even hand over funds for the OIC to ensure that strict censorship on the media will be enforced when reporters shed a negative light on radical Islamic militants that include, Osama bin-Laden, al-Qaeda, the Taliban, al-Shabaab (Somalia) and Abu Shayaff (the Philippines).

According to Fox News, “concerns about censorship were raised after the 56-nation Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), which has tremendous sway in the United Nations, successfully pushed through a resolution that creates a watchdog to monitor how religion is portrayed in the media.”

The OIC claims it will enforce religious tolerance by ensuring that the (Muslim) religion is not mocked. An incident occurred when Danish cartoons depicting the Prophet Mohammed instigated Islamic riots. Yet, the United States and the European Union members on the council voted against the resolution, worrying that it will censor the press and assault freedom of expression.

As reported by Fox, “the resolution now opens the way for the Human Rights Council to select a special investigation on religious freedom to “work closely with mass media organizations to ensure that they create and promote an atmosphere of respect and tolerance for religious and cultural diversity.”

The UN loves to use irony when implementing new policies. Mr. Ban appointed a so-called “Human Rights Council,” to be the media watchdog to impose censorship. Meanwhile, the UN hires and appoints investigators to seek and punish whistle-blowers and aid in cover-ups of corruption by initiating “sham” investigation inquiries. The UN also hosts “Transparency Summits,” even though Mr. Ban is notorious for hiding internal UN documents from public scrutiny.

What is the USA Doing in Afghanistan?

Afghanistan: Women crowd secret shelters with scars from "fists, knives, burns, electrical cords"

Here is another report that describes the prevalence and severity of domestic violence in a Muslim country without considering Islam's role. The broadcast version of the story, aired tonight, mentioned attempts to convince men that such behavior was un-Islamic and not what Muhammad would want; even that is absent from the online version excerpted below.

But the Qur'an (4:34) says you can beat your wife -- never mind the parenthetical additions of "lightly" by some Western translators. That doesn't help the women in Afghanistan. Nor do fanciful re-translations of the Arabic term. There can be no meaningful discussion of domestic violence in the Muslim world without acknowledging that Islam's scriptures, believed to be the direct word of Allah, approve of the idea of resorting to violence to "control" supposedly disobedient women.

As for Muhammad, he was a wife-beater himself, as Aisha recounts in this hadith that "He struck me on the chest which caused me pain." When, per Qur'an 33:21, a man who marries a child and beats her is your "beautiful pattern of conduct," you've got a serious problem.

That problem continues to manifest itself across the Muslim world. "Exclusive: The Secret Shelters That Protect Afghan Women," by Margaret Ako and Mark Mooney for ABC News, March 11:

Not every Afghan is hoping the Americans soon leave their country. Some are actually dreading it.

"You can't leave Afghanistan," Manizha, who helps run a shelter for battered women, recently warned "World News" anchor Diane Sawyer. Behind Manizha, women who were beaten, bruised and badly scarred shake their heads in urgent agreement.

The secret women's shelter is run by Manizha -- who, like most Afghans, goes by only one name -- and by New Yorker Esther Hyneman. It is one of a string of shelters and counseling centers that opened in 2007 and have since helped about 1,500 Afghan women escape beatings and abuse that can shock even battle-hardened combat surgeons.

Among the most heartbreaking is the story of Bebe. She is 17, and she says her face was mutilated by her husband, a Talib. Bebe's nose and ears were cut off as punishment for running away to escape the constant pummeling by her husband and his family.

She was married to the radical Muslim when she was 12, Manizha told Sawyer. Her marriage was the result of an outlawed tribal custom called "baad" in which the daughter was given away as compensation for a crime or offense committed by a male member of Bebe's family.

Girls given away in baad transactions are often little more than slaves. Bebe was forced to sleep in a stable with the animals, and beatings and pain became part of life for her.

Bebe tried to escape but was captured. Her husband was ordered by the Taliban to punish her by disfiguring her face. While her brother-in-law held her down, her husband sliced off her nose and ears.

Left for dead, she crawled to her uncle's house, but he refused to help. Bebe staggered on to her grandfather's house. He called her father. The local Afghan hospital was unable to treat her wounds, and suggested her father take her to the nearby U.S. military base, Forward Operating Base Ripley in Oruzgan province.

"She was very scared. She covered up," said Air Force Sgt. Lindsey Clark, a medic who was on duty when Bebe arrived three days after the attack.

Maj. Jeff Lewis, an Air Force surgeon, told ABC News he was used to seeing war wounds, but Bebe's injuries appalled him.

"It was barbaric and shocking to see this, that somebody had done this to this young girl... It was unlike anything I've ever seen," Lewis said. "I'm surprised that ... it still exists, this type of problem in the world." Despite their scars -- from fists, knives, burns, electrical cords -- there is an argument that the women at Manizha's shelter are the lucky ones. These women have found a way out of their brutal marriages. Millions of Afghan women are routinely handed over for marriages while they are still children and endure lives of constant battering.

"Ninety percent of Afghan women have experienced some form of human rights violation, 15 million Afghan women probably need our help," Manizha told Sawyer....

The Age of Obama is a Racial Nightmare

Recent data shows, though, that much of black progress is a myth. In many respects, African Americans are doing no better than they were when Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated and uprisings swept inner cities across America. Nearly a quarter of African Americans live below the poverty line today, approximately the same percentage as in 1968. The black child poverty rate is actually higher now than it was then. Unemployment rates in black communities rival those in Third World countries. And that’s with affirmative action!

When we pull back the curtain and take a look at what our “colorblind” society creates without affirmative action, we see a familiar social, political, and economic structure -- the structure of racial caste. The entrance into this new caste system can be found at the prison gate.

This is not the Martin Luther King dream. This is not the Promised Land. The cyclical rebirth of caste in America is a recurring racial nightmare.

Expendable Citizens Should Unite in Common Cause

Citizens in the USA, Iran and Gaza have become expendable. In the US workers have been outsourced and the middle class has been denuded of net worth. An elite group of corporate communists administers government power through the military, the mass media and a set of legislative and judicial lackeys.
They have marginalized the people into a cadre of wage and debt slaves. They have expanded these evils worldwide through the monopolization of resources, by the distribution of toxic assets and by perpetual [preemptive] warfare. Many citizens are uncomfortable under the weight of a tyrant, but do nothing too conditioned by long years of oppression.
The Iranians sent their children to the west for education. Along with math and science, they absorbed heretical teachings on governance and philosophy. They took their learning to the streets many times defeated by brute force. As the US War on Terror proved, it is impossible to destroy a worthwhile idea with weapons.
Many in the Muslim World insist that Palestinians have been corrupted by the west [especially by proximity to Israel]. Their leaders begin hostilities indifferent to the casualties they bring.
We citizens realize our governments serve their interests and not ours. This process began when the first caveman conked his rival on the head to become the tribal leader. We cloud our vision with histories, personalities and commentary until we pound the active possibilities into the ground. The time horizons of 50+ years discussed are excuses for inaction. The first item on our agenda should be how we can survive for another 50 years.

Humanity Loses Every Time

Fox News dictates the content and nature of debate in America. They fill the MSM airwaves with personal attacks and a mythical version of a country that never existed. The Republic vanished in 1950 and the Progressive Agenda came to a legislative halt in 1968. Most Americans have never enjoyed a day of freedom.
Outside the USA, we do not deny the right of the US to self-destruct. That is her business. It becomes our business when she sells her nuclear secrets to Pakistan, when she engages in perpetual preemptive wars that kill millions of Asians or when she fails to address the evils of slavery and the associated crimes against humanity that increase with it.
As many Americans regret the downfall of their country, the power elite promotes ways the people can let off steam. They can vilify the black President. They can organize a "grassroots" Tea Party supportive of corporate communism. They can condemn Jews as exemplars of evil.
All this has gone down before in many shapes and guises. Every time humanity loses.

Leftists Have the Attention Span of a Grape

In days passed at OEN, I would respond to late-breaking news. Since many editors waited five to seven days to publish my article, it was no longer fashionable. After I wrote on more lasting issues, I was lucky to make the Top 50 list for a few hours rarely with a headline.
Much of this reflects old-time newspaper writing. Today's headline wraps dead fish bones tomorrow. This practice has killed leftist politics for the past 40 years.
Almost every day FOX promotes a revelation that dominates every show for at least 24 hours. Before the left can respond, FOX is off on another tangent. If one of their fairy stories gains traction, it stands repetition pounded into viewers heads as an advertising commercial.
The Republicans elevate this trash into political rhetoric good enough to bash Democrats for weeks and maybe months. Then, the best lies [such as birther and deather] go on the shelf for use at a later time.
To counter this I subscribe to Brad Freidman's Blog and his consistent and long-lasting campaign against the right's weaknesses. For example, they support perpetual war, misogyny, US exceptionalism, selling US nuclear secrets to the enemy, ethnic cleansing, hanging gays, abusing children, infecting the general population with chemical agents, wire tapping, subversion, falsification of the public record, assassinating whistle blowers, torture, slavery, genocide, killing Muslims for Jesus, boiling dissidents in oil, euthanasia, kidnapping, sex slavery, heroin trafficking, adultery and numerous other departures from common human decency.
Instead of taking the right to task for these infractions, the left criticizes Obama's escalation of the war.

Kuwait Violates Human Rights of Foreign Workers

Kuwait Violates Human Rights of Its Slave Laborers

Kuwaiti Officials Beat and Torture Foreign Workers

By Mezba, Global Voices

Most of the Muslim Student Associations in universities in North America have a very vocal content about supporting Palestine issues. Many of them also have a strong pro-Arab camp, where they harp on supporting the Arab countries against Israel on many issues, and whenever Arabs are mistreated or discriminated against, it is painted as an "Islamic" issue. Many converts to Islam here also have an idolized view of the Arab lands.

Having lived in the Middle East before, I have a different view on these issues. Here's something I caught on the news recently.

Some time ago Bangladeshi workers in Kuwait went on strike because they had not been paid by the Kuwaiti authorities for more than 3 months. These are already dirt poor people doing menial jobs saving whatever scraps they can to help their families back in Bangladesh. So what did the Kuwaitis do?

They beat up the striking workers, locked many of them up and deported them all to Bangladesh. There were also tales of torture when those deported people reached Bangladesh.

Today, I found a letter in Kuwait Times where one resident writes "Bangladeshi cleaners, Thank you."

I would to thank all the Bangladeshi cleaners who used to collect the garbage from sunset until sunrise, to clean up the dirt and the leftovers of mine and of all residents of Kuwait. They were, in fact, doing a great job and excellent work.
.
.
.
While we enjoyed the luxury of new, clean clothes every day, the dirty, yellow dirty uniform was the costume that they lived, ate and maybe even slept in.
.
.
.
Salaries: Why do you work? This is not a new topic, it's an old one and a natural request. Why do any of us go to work and how many of us would work for free?

Meanwhile, now Kuwait, probably hit by the garbage on the streets, have admitted responsibility (where have we heard this before?).

I have said it before and I have said it again, the problem lies in governments of countries like Bangladesh and Sri Lanka making no attempt to ban their citizens from working in slavery-conditions in these countries. Blind by the lure of foreign currency and cash these workers bring, they have trampled on their welfare and rights.

Next time an Arab supporting MSA comes around to ask me for support against Israeli oppression against Palestinians, I am going to ask, "how are you any better".

The Collapse of Our Republic

1948 The Naked City

There are eight million stories in the naked city and this is one of them.

In 1988 the New York City Israeli Consulate organized and financed the kidnapping of my son Daniel, a USA/Israel dual citizen.

I asked the Consulate, the FBI and the State Department to return him to my custody. After they refused to help, I filed a writ of habeas corpus to the Supreme Court of Israel. The Court recognized his kidnapped status, but kicked the issue of his return to the District Court.

This initiated a series of 35 court cases during which public employees did forgery to falsify the public record, to defraud me and to detain my son and me in Israel. There was judicial misconduct at every level. They violated 26 of our human rights, as detailed under the UN 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Consequently, I charged 100 government bureaucrats, judges, Rabbis, and social workers with Crimes Against Humanity.

Over the years, I wondered why the governments allowed the kidnappers to get away with it. Over 21,000 American infants had been abducted to Israel and double that number of Israeli infants had disappeared into America.

There were other irons in the fire.

Since 1996 Israeli scientists stole US nuclear secrets. The information went through the FBI and the State Department for distribution through Turkey to buyers in the Muslim World.

The mass media, Congress, Justice Department and law enforcement agencies have ignored the abduction of infants and the theft of nuclear secrets for years. Heinous acts such as these do not continue for long without the co-operation of governments, generations of corrupt officials.
