A MOSQUE in western Sydney was selling copies of the inflammatory anti-Semitic book The Protocols of the Elders of Zion on the same weekend it opened its doors to the wider community to dispel some of the myths surrounding Islam.

The bookstall on the ground floor of the Lakemba Mosque had in stock about 15 bright-pink paperback editions of The Protocols for sale for $8.

The Protocols is a hoax document first published in Russia in 1903 that purports to be an account of a meeting of Jewish leaders discussing plans for economic world domination. The books were for sale in a small makeshift bookshop lined with ornate copies of the Koran in a room off a car park underneath the mosque.

On a large table in the middle of the room was a jumble sale of books ranging from early childhood education to cookbooks, including a couple of stacks of The Protocols among the piles of Islamic literature.

When asked by The Australian why the mosque was selling The Protocols, the bookshop volunteer hurriedly grabbed the books and said he would take them off the table. ``We’re not racist. I don’t want any trouble,’’ he said. ``I can’t read, I don’t read the books, I don’t know what’s in them. I don’t decide what books are chosen."

I'm not sure, but it might have dispelled one myth about Islam - the Muslims have no problem with Jews.

The bomb went off in the lot between the Islamic Society and Back Bay Grill around 8:00 PM Tuesday night. Portland Police say Islamic elders came forward to tell them that a 13 year old from the Society was experimenting and was responsible for the bomb. Another bomb was also found undetinated [sic]....

Just a young Muslim at a mosque experimenting with a bomb. In Maine. What's to be concerned about? It isn't as if mosques have ever been centers of violence elsewhere, right?

Mosque Built Atop Christian Graveyard

SARGODHA, Pakistan, September 1 (CDN) — Muslims led by a hard-line cleric on Friday (Aug. 27) resumed building on a Christian cemetery in Mandi Bhawaldin, desecrating more graves in spite of a local government order to halt construction, according to the All Pakistan Minorities Alliance (APMA).

[..]Muslim cleric Mirza Abdul Ghani had built a mosque on the Christian graveyard off New Rasool Road in Mandi Bhawaldin after allegedly occupying the land 16 years ago, when area Christians were too intimidated to object, said Salamat Zia of APMA.

“No one could object to the construction of the mosque, as it is in the constitution of Pakistan that no religious worship place could be demolished,” said Zia. “Therefore all the Christians remained silent then.”

The cleric’s alleged desecration of more of the graveyard land around the Masjid Ahle-Sunnat-Wal-Jamaat mosque began three months ago, Zia said.

“This Christian graveyard was earmarked before the Indo-Pakistan partition on Aug. 14, 1947,” Zia added, “and their forefathers were buried there.”

Zia, a local journalist and resident of the Muhalla Ghorra area in Mandi Bhawaldin, said it initially appeared that Ghani’s workers were building an addition to the mosque, as only pillars had been erected. Now Ghani’s builders have completed a basement as well as possibly some shops, with cement plaster now being applied to the new units.

On Aug. 6 Zia led a seven-member Christian delegation intending to meet with District Coordination Officer (DCO) Muhammad Amin Chaudhary, another district officer named Syed Shahbaz Hussain Naqvi and District Police Officer Dar Ali Khatak of Mandi Bhawaldin about the encroachments on the Christian graveyard and to discuss how the graves of their loved ones were being demolished and desecrated.

As DCO Chaudhary was on leave, Acting DCO Shahid Rana took their application and forwarded it to the District Officer of Revenue and Tehsil Officer of Regulations with directives to visit the site and demolish all encroachments except the Masjid Ahle-Sunnat-Wal-Jamaat mosque, Zia said.

After inspecting the site, the administrative officers issued directives to stop the illegal encroachments, and for a few days the construction was halted, he said.

“But despite the stay orders of stopping construction, the Muslim men restarted construction over the Christian graves on Aug. 27,” Zia said.

Late Update: The Washington Post was told by the NYPD that Rivera was so drunk that he didn't even know he was at a mosque, and police say they don't believe the incident was bias-related. The New York Post has since updated its original story -- removing any mention of anti-Muslim slurs. A police source also tells the Post that when found by worshipers, Rivera said "My sister's dead."

Late Late Update: The NYPD now confirms to TPM that the incident is not being investigated as bias-related. The NYPD said members of the mosque stated that Rivera did not make biased comments during the incident.

Drunk Shouts Anti-Muslim Slurs, Urinates in Queens Mosque

I’m sure this has absolutely nothing to do with the non-stop anti-Muslim hate speech pouring out of Fox News, right wing websites, talk radio and shrieking harpy Pamela Geller: Drunken man urinates on mosque floor.

A drunk barged into a Queens mosque last night and shouted anti-Muslim slurs as he urinated on prayer rugs, cops and witnesses said.

Evening prayers were disrupted at the Iman Mosque on Steinway Street in Astoria when the unhinged man “came in with a beer bottle in his hands, clearly very intoxicated,” said Mustapha Sadouki, who was attending services.

“He fumbled over to our rugs where people were praying” and then committed the despicable desecration, Sadouki said,

The man, identified by cops as Omar Rivera, also allegedly shouted slurs, calling the worshippers “terrorists.”

Two men managed to subdue him. They put him a back room and called 911.

HARLEM — An NYPD detective invited to a community meeting about concerns of police brutality was refused entry into a Harlem mosque because he refused to relinquish his badge and his gun, police said.

Det. Martin Brown, of NYPD Commissioner Raymond Kelly's liaison unit, arrived at the Nation of Islam's No. 7 Mosque at W. 127th Street in time for Friday's community meeting, only to be greeted by organizers who reportedly told him his weapon and shield were not welcome inside.

"Det. Brown was invited to the mosque but refused to comply with the request that he enter without his weapon or shield," NYPD spokeswoman Kim Royster said in an e-mail.

The Muhammad Mosque No. 7, which is the local headquarters of the Nation of Islam, has a historically contentious relationship with the NYPD, and was the site of a lethal standoff on April 14, 1972 that left a police officer dead.

Officer Philip Cardillo was killed in a standoff with Nation of Islam members while responding to a phony 911 call from the mosque, which claimed another officer was trapped inside.

Organizer Abdul Kareem Muhammad, vice president of the Harlem Clergy and Community Leaders Coalition, reportedly invited Det. Brown to the meeting of the Committee to End Abusive Policing in our Communities, according to the New York Post. The meeting was called to address concerns about a Harlem family of five that organizers say have been the target of repeated harassment by the NYPD's 32 precinct.

But when Brown arrived, Muhammad informed him of the mosque's gun and badge ban, the Post reported.

Brown stood outside for several minutes until the mosque's imam, Abdul Hafeez Muhammad, arrived and seconded the ban, the Post reported.

The Quran, as the constitution of Islam and Muslims, is diametrically opposite to the United States Constitution and Bill of Rights. According to Islam and Muslims, the Quran is divine law, uncorrupted and incorruptible, whereas the United States Constitution is man-made and is not infallible, and therefore is corrupt. The U.S. Constitution is the antithesis of the Quran; therefore Muslims have no obligation to obey it.

A mosque in the United States is a command and control center of a foreign political and military state that seeks the overthrow of our government, and an Imam in a mosque is a political and military representative of a foreign state that calls for the overthrow of the United States.

The laws of the United States provide specific criminal penalties for sedition and treason. These laws are not only applicable to those advocating and calling for the overthrow of our Constitution and our government; they are applicable to anyone who gives “aid or comfort” to such declared enemies of the United States, or who “organizes or helps or attempts to organize any society, group, or assembly of persons” so engaged. The terms “organizes” and “organize” extend to “the recruiting of new members, the forming of new units, and the regrouping or expansion of existing clubs, classes, and other units of such society, group, or assembly of persons.”

Mosques are just such units.

MAS Muslims Give Staten Island the Middle Finger

Today at a protest on the steps of Borough Hall in Staten Island, 30 to 40 people (unlike the hundreds that showed in opposition in the pouring rain two weeks ago), members of the Muslim American Society, aka The Muslim Brotherhood, conducted a press conference. Most of the attendees were from Brooklyn, according to an Atlas operative who was there.

The only news media that appeared to be covering this non event was The Advance. I expect the media will add a zero to the 40 Muslims who showed up, as the media loves to inflate the numbers when shilling for jihad.

MAS announced that they have no intention of walking away from the convent sale.

In a gross act of un-Christian abandonment, there has been no decision from the Archbishop. No vote has been taken (which has left the people of Staten Island nothing short of ......perplexed, to say the least).

The good people of Staten Island thought that the MAS would willingly walk away from such an unpopular project in the interest of "building bridges," "mutual understanding," and "mutual respect." Ha!

They aren’t going anywhere. Anyone with even a cursory understanding of Islam or knowledge of Islamic history knows that this has never happened in the history of Islam. "Walking away" is not in their vocabulary. "Building bridges," "mutual understanding," and "mutual respect" are one-way streets in Islam. Just ask Imam Rauf.

Rauf, Imam of the much opposed Ground Zero mega mosque, said he didn't understand the hostility of the opposition to the monster mosque, especially since our "children and our grandchildren would be Muslim." One man's "mutual respect and mutual understanding" is another Muslim's Islamic supremacism.

Muslims gather for mosque rally at Borough Hall Staten Island Advance

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Dozens of Muslims and their supporters have assembled on the steps of Borough Hall in St. George to rally in favor of a proposal to build a mosque in Midland Beach.

Approximately 50 demonstrators had gathered by 11:45 a.m., carrying signs reading "No Hate, Yes Faith," "Where are my Rights?" "This is my Country" and "Peace Love and Equality."

The rally is being organized by the Muslim American Society (MAS).

There has been fierce debate across the borough about whether MAS should convert an empty former convent, owned by St. Margaret Mary R.C. Church in Midland Beach, into a mosque and community center.

Residents learned about the agreement between the church and MAS in May, but were furious the contract was drafted quietly and without their input. They expressed concerns about traffic and parking in the neighborhood, and contended that bringing a mosque to the area would display insensitivity toward area residents who were killed on 9/11.

In June, the church's pastor, Rev. Keith Fennessy, withdrew his support of the plan in the face of the opposition.

An update on the Lilburn mosque - a replica of a shrine to a Muslim holy warrior in Iraq (where more than 4,000 U.S. soldiers have been killed). When expansion plans were denied, the harassment of infidels began, the legal jihad kicked in, and apparently the Islamic intimidation has continued. ROPMA.

Lilburn’s Hood Road carries new Gwinnett into old Gwinnett. The mile of asphalt begins with a mosque at U.S. 29 and turns into a byway of houses, trees and gardens.

But now, when the sun goes down, tension grows in this tidy, middle-class neighborhood.

Some residents opposed to a mosque expansion on Hood Road say for the past seven months, they’ve been the frequent targets of harassment, mostly by those they describe as “Middle Eastern men”. But a founder of the mosque says the claims are unfounded and the city’s mayor, who lives on Hood Road, hasn’t witnessed anything unusual.

Nonetheless, residents have reported vehicles traveling the road at night with occupants yelling, making obscene gestures, snapping photos, even confronting two women in their driveway.

Since November, when city leaders ruled against a local Muslim congregation’s plans to expand, the Lilburn Police Department has received 21 calls of suspicious activity along Hood Road.

Lilburn police officials say they have investigated every claim and patrolled Hood Road around the clock for two months starting in April, when reports started to escalate.

Still, residents say, the harassment is real. Some have installed security camera systems. Others are carrying guns.

“A lot of people are locked and loaded because they don’t know what’s going to happen,” resident Angel Alonso, 46, said. “We have a feeling somebody is going to get hurt.”

Residents say the harassment started Nov. 18, the same day the Lilburn City Council rejected the congregation’s proposal for a 20,000-square-foot mosque, cemetery and gym at U.S. 29 and Hood Road. The council’s decision has since sparked a federal religious discrimination lawsuit against the city.

n November, more than 400 residents packed the Gwinnett County courthouse to protest the rezoning. They argued it would pose traffic and parking problems and run afoul of the city’s land-use plan.

After the meeting in Lawrenceville, resident Janie Hood said she was followed and boxed in on U.S. 29 by a van and sport utility vehicle full of “Middle Eastern” males, according to a police report. The vehicles were pulled over. Hood didn’t pursue the matter further, the report said.

But Hood said she didn’t drop it. Since March, she said she has spoken three times to the Gwinnett County District Attorney’s Office, which is investigating.

Now the 56-year-old Hood, whose father and grandfather built Hood Road, won’t sleep at her house at night, not since an attempted break-in in late December, she said. And on April 23, Hood said five vehicles pulled in front of her property. Two to three men exited and approached, according to a police report. Hood’s daughter, Christi Nichols, who feared for her safety, grabbed a firearm and told the men to leave, the report said.

“It’s getting worse and worse,” Hood said. “All we get from the Police Department is, ‘Stay in your house.’ We will stay in our house, but we should haven’t to.”

Top Fatah official and holder of the Jerusalem portfolio Khatem Abd el-Kader called Palestinians on Sunday to “converge on al Aksa to save it” from what he called “Israeli attempts to destroy the mosque and replace it with the [Jewish] temple.” Khader was speaking ahead of a dedication of a renovated synagogue in the Jewish Quarter in the Old City, planned to take place Tuesday.He called Israel’s renovation of the Hurva Synagogue a “provocation” and warned Israel that it was “playing with fire.”

Is there anything Jews do in Israel that is not a 'provocation' to 'Palestinians'? Probably not. After all, when we die (God save us), we are buried somewhere in the country. Anything we do while alive, the 'Palestinians' consider 'provocative.'
