North Korea Bombards South
(Nov. 23) -- North Korea fired more than 100 artillery shells onto a South Korean border island today, killing two southern marines and wounding 18 others in a brazen attack that prompted the South to return fire and put its military on its highest alert. South Korea's president said he would unleash "enormous retaliation" should the North strike again.
President Barack Obama was awoken around 4 a.m. with news of the clash, and is phoning South Korea's president, the BBC reported.
U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon called it "one of the gravest incidents since the end of the Korean War," a spokesman told The Associated Press. The United Nations Security Council plans to hold an emergency meeting today or Wednesday to discuss the attack, a French diplomat told Reuters.
Fires burned out of control on Yeonpyeong Island, one of South Korea's closest territories to the communist north, which houses a South Korean military base alongside the homes of about 1,700 civilians. At least three civilians and 15 South Korean troops were among those wounded, a defense official told The New York Times.
"I ran outside my house when my windows shattered from the blasts," resident Lee Jong-sik told the JoongAng Daily newspaper. She said blasts rang out across the island every five minutes. It was the first time in 50 years the island has suffered any attacks, she said.

Turkey's Erdogon Threatens to Attack Israel
In Lebanon on Thursday, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan threatened that his country would not 'remain silent' in the event that Israel goes to war with Lebanon or Hamas.
"Does (Israel) think it can enter Lebanon with the most modern aircraft and tanks to kill women and children, and destroy schools and hospitals, and then expect us to remain silent?" Erdogan asked on the final day of a two-day visit to Lebanon.
"Does it think it can use the most modern weapons, phosphorus munitions and cluster bombs to kill children in Gaza and then expect us to remain silent? We will not be silent and we will support justice by all means available to us," he added.
During the course of his trip, Erdogan met with officials and visited the north and south of the country.
On Thursday in Beirut, hundreds of Lebanese of Armenian descent clashed with army troops during a protest over the Turkish prime minister's visit.
He was inaugurating a hospital in the southern port city of Sidon as hundreds of protesters gathered in the capital's Martyrs' Square.
When demonstrators tore up a large poster of Erdogan and pelted troops with rocks, security responded by beating up a number of them.
There were no reports of major injuries.
4% of the Lebanese population is Armenian. Turkey murdered 1.5 million Armenians in 1915 in attacks that most countries consider to be genocidal.

The manager, Colon said, gave the women two choices: take off the headscarves, or wear a helmet over them.
Taking off the hijabs was "not an option," Colon told WTIC-TV in Hartford.
She said she has worn the traditional headscarf for 16 years and has it on "wherever I go."

Two Facebook profiles have also been removed from the site, police added.
It is understood that the group who published that version of the Koran have since been to the school to talk to pupils.

Canada Opts Out of Durban III Hatefest
OTTAWA — Canada has lost faith in a “tainted” UN process that was supposed to combat racism — but not in the United Nations as an institution, Immigration Minister Jason Kenney said Thursday.
Mr. Kenney said the federal government would boycott a planned UN conference on racism in New York in September because it promises to be nothing more than a “hatefest,” directed largely at Israel.
“We obviously continue to believe in the United Nations as an important multilateral forum,” he said. “But we are able to make basic distinctions between good and bad.”
Mr. Kenney said Canada would have nothing to do with the planning of the September conference, which is being held to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the first conference on racism, held in Durban, South Africa, in 2001.
“Our government has lost faith in the entire tainted Durban process,” Mr. Kenney said. “Canada will not participate in this charade any longer. We will not lend our country’s good name to a commemoration of what has widely been characterized — indeed across party lines here — as a hatefest.”
He also said the government would not help finance Canadian NGOs to attend the meeting.
The Canadian Jewish Congress said the government made the right call.
“Both Durban I and II, ostensibly aimed at fighting racism, turned out to be little more than concerted anti-Semitic charades that set back the real fight against racism and discrimination by decades,” said Mark J. Freiman, president of the congress, in a statement. “This UN process is fundamentally flawed and by now beyond repair.”

A Taliban fighter in Dhani-Ghorri in northern Afghanistan last month told the Guardian he lived most of the time in east London, but came to Afghanistan for three months of the year for combat.
"I work as a minicab driver," said the man, who has the rank of a mid-level Taliban commander. "I make good money there [in the UK], you know. But these people are my friends and my family and it's my duty to come to fight the jihad with them."
"There are many people like me in London," he added. "We collect money for the jihad all year and come and fight if we can."
His older brother, a senior cleric or mawlawi who also fought in Dhani-Ghorri, lives in London as well.
Intelligence officials have long suspected that British Muslims travel to Afghanistan and Pakistan each year to train with extremist groups.

Why Obama Hates Israel
Obama’s Israel problem can be traced to the fact that he subscribes to the merits of none of these factors. The media drumbeat that clamored for his election did its best to suppress the implications of the fact that Obama was spiritually reared not in the mode of traditional Christians but in a church that was a unabashed exponent of black liberationist theology – that the Bible was the “white man’s religion” (Malcolm X’s phrase) and needed to be redefined as an instrument that would advocate the overthrow of oppressors of the black man. As they saw it, the Bible justified racism, slavery, segregation, economic discrimination and other societal ills. Such a Bible is not to be used as a proof text for Jewish rights anywhere, and the “real Jews,” according to the hard-core theologians are the oppressed blacks overcoming the persecution of the new “Egyptians,” the Americans. No wonder Obama had to throw Reverend Wright under the bus; the real question is how he could have sat in those pews for 20 years listening to this claptrap, unless he himself believed at least some of it.
Thus, Obama does not naturally see America as a force for good in the world, the only nation that spreads liberty and freedom to oppressed nations. His default position is that the US is an imperialist nation, a colonizer that has exploited the Third World, and even increased the suffering of millions. That is why Obama has seen fit to go around the globe apologizing for American misdeeds (Africa, Asia, Arabia, South America) without even acknowledging the life-saving, civilizing benefits of American interventions, and why the disdain he feels towards Israel is also directed at allies such as Britain or Canada. No prior president ever ridiculed, as Obama has, the notion of “American exceptionalism,” that the US is different than other nations and uniquely suited to exporting virtues like freedom, liberty, individual rights and democracy. The “shared values” that have always bound America and Israel are perceived by Obama as contrived, hypocritical, phony and arrogant – if anything, they are grounds to downgrade the relationship, as he has done.
Consequently, it seems clear that President Obama sees Israel as a strategic albatross, not an ally. His outreach to the Muslim world is complicated, if not impaired, by the America-Israel relationship that he inherited and that has been a staple of American foreign policy for decades. The Cold War is long over, and itself was founded on a bi-polar view of the world in which America was the natural leader of the free world, a locution that this president likely finds troublesome and rejects. Israel exists, in Obama’s strategic view of global affairs, only as an irritant – and the alliance is a relic of the past that has to be rolled back.
Nothing in the Israeli narrative resonates with Obama and so his dislike for Israel is ill-concealed, and reflected in his policies and attitudes. Indeed, Obama’s discomfort with the narrative and foundational principles of Israel mirrors his discomfort with the narrative and foundational principles of the United States.

Israel Has no Partner for Peace
Even Leftist Gershon Baskin understands that the 'research report' issued by the 'Palestinian Authority' claiming that Jews have no connection to the Western Wall crosses a red line.
Gershon Baskin, the joint CEO of the Israel/Palestine Center for Research and Information, sent a letter to the Palestinian leadership in the wake of the Post article, calling the findings “a serious mistake” and “a stain on the Palestinian Authority.”
“If the content of the article is correct, you should take immediate action against the author of the report in question (if he is in fact employed by the PA or by the PLO) because his baseless claims are a serious blow to the legitimacy of Palestinian claims and make a mockery of the idea of peace between the Palestinians and the Jews,” Baskin wrote. “This is a most serious mistake, similar to the one of the late President Arafat when he denied any Jewish connection to the Holy Temple Mount (Haram Al-Sharif) in Jerusalem.
“Any observer, even a non-professional archeologist, can discern that the stones used to construct the Western Wall (the Kotel) are from the era of Solomon’s Temple and the Temple rebuilt by King Herod which was hundreds of years before Islam appeared on the world stage.
“The falsification of history, as done in the report by the Palestinian poet Al- Mutawakel Taha, a senior official with the Ministry of Information, is a serious stain on the Palestinian Authority.”
But so far, the 'Palestinian Authority' is sticking to Taha's narrative. And so far, no foreign power has had anything to say on the issue. If that continues to be the case, will Baskin and others who think like him finally admit that we have no partner for peace?

FOX Business: Pamela Geller, Ground Zero Mosque Taxpayer Funding
Last night I appeared on Eric Bolling's Follow the Money, to debate the latest Islamic attack on the American people in the second wave of the Ground Zero mosque controversy. The Islamic supremacists behind the Ground Zero mega mosque applied for $5 million in federal grant money that has been set aside for the redevelopment of lower Manhattan after the attacks of September 11th.
The $5 million Islamic supremacist request represents nearly one-third of all the $17 million that is now available. 265 groups have applied for the funding.
Note the morphing mosque narrative. For months Imam Rauf and his gang have been whining that the building destroyed in the attacks of 911 was not close to Ground Zero, but now they want to be included in the ground zero area’s geography.
Watch as I debate a loud but ignorant mob of flapping tongues. Ill-informed and delusional hardly describes these tools. Note how the "reverend" starts grunting whenever I say something that might teach people something.

China and Russia Quit Dollar
St. Petersburg, Russia - China and Russia have decided to renounce the US dollar and resort to using their own currencies for bilateral trade, Premier Wen Jiabao and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin announced late on Tuesday.
Chinese experts said the move reflected closer relations between Beijing and Moscow and is not aimed at challenging the dollar, but to protect their domestic economies.
"About trade settlement, we have decided to use our own currencies," Putin said at a joint news conference with Wen in St. Petersburg.
The two countries were accustomed to using other currencies, especially the dollar, for bilateral trade. Since the financial crisis, however, high-ranking officials on both sides began to explore other possibilities.
The yuan has now started trading against the Russian rouble in the Chinese interbank market, while the renminbi will soon be allowed to trade against the rouble in Russia, Putin said.
"That has forged an important step in bilateral trade and it is a result of the consolidated financial systems of world countries," he said.
Putin made his remarks after a meeting with Wen. They also officiated at a signing ceremony for 12 documents, including energy cooperation.
The documents covered cooperation on aviation, railroad construction, customs, protecting intellectual property, culture and a joint communiqu. Details of the documents have yet to be released.
Putin said one of the pacts between the two countries is about the purchase of two nuclear reactors from Russia by China's Tianwan nuclear power plant, the most advanced nuclear power complex in China.

UN Pours Salt on America's Wounds - FOX News
Just when we were beginning to get into the holiday spirit, the United Nations decided that Durban III is coming to town.
Late yesterday, the UN General Assembly’s Third Committee adopted a resolution which launches another global “anti-racism” hatefest. It is intended to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the debacle held in Durban, South Africa in 2001. But this time, the UN has outdone itself: the celebration of a notorious prescription for intolerance, closely linked to Islamic extremism, is now scheduled for New York City just days after the 10th anniversary of 9/11.
Like the Ground Zero mosque architects, the UN has decided to pour salt in the wounds of still grieving Americans. The crowds at Durban I held high their signs reading: “For the liberation of Quds, machine-guns based upon faith and Islam must be used,” and “The martyr’s blood irrigates the tree of revolution in Palestine.” The obvious connection between hate and terror, or incitement to violence and violence itself, is either irrelevant to the UN or part of the plan.
The resolution was adopted 121 states for, 19 against and 35 abstentions. States voting against included the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia, and most of the countries that had known Nazism at very close range: Germany, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland and Romania.
The plans for Durban III contained in the document are much more explicit than a usual UN resolution and contradict a very active misinformation campaign already underway by the UN and closely-related individuals and organizations.
Most heads of government avoided Durban I and the only one to attend Durban II was the poster-boy for racism and xenophobia himself, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. So for Durban III, the UN decided to ensnare most heads of state and government by scheduling the event to coincide with the annual opening of the UN General Assembly, when they are all present in New York anyway. The resolution sets the date as September 21, 2011 (“the second day of the General Debate”), and specifically designates it as a “High-Level” meeting “at the level of Heads of States and Governments.”
Contrary to some suggestions, the event will not be a quiet commemoration with minimal political design. Amendments made to the resolution late in the day decide that the meeting should “consist…of an opening plenary, consecutive round tables/thematic panels and a closing plenary meeting.” And then the meeting will adopt a final “political declaration.”
Lest anyone be delusional about which country is intended to be the first course at Durban III, the resolution pinpoints only one theme of the Declaration as the meeting’s focal point, namely, “Victims of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerances: Recognition, Justice and Development.” The carefully crafted Durban Declaration lists Palestinians as “Victims of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance.”
Of course, as history has demonstrated time and again, the meal never ends with the Jews. The Dutch representative valiantly spelled out to the General Assembly committee a bigger picture: “The fight against racism and discrimination is of such importance that we cannot support any effort to redirect our attention towards different agendas. Unfortunately, the Durban Declaration and…Review Conference did so…by elevating the protection of religion above the protection and promotion of human rights and by placing unnecessary restrictions on the freedom of expression…”
In addition, in the resolution the UN puts out a call for help from the world of rabble-rousers who masquerade as human rights enthusiasts. Despite being fully aware of the violent extremism characterizing the NGO Forum at Durban I, the resolution asks “civil society, including NGOs” “to organize and support” 10th anniversary initiatives “with high visibility.”
The Obama administration is clearly worried about the effects of Durban III on its policy of embracing the UN and its human rights apparatus. U.S. representative John Sammis spelled out their concerns, lamenting to the UN committee that the event “risks undermining the relationship we have worked hard to strengthen over the past few years between the United States and the UN.”
Indeed it does.
The question now is which countries will ensure that their heads of state and of government will not participate in such an outrage. The United States and Israel walked out of Durban I in disgust.
Australia, Canada, Czech Republic, Germany, Israel, Italy, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, and the United States refused to participate in Durban II.
With 19 votes against and another 35 democracies concerned enough to abstain, it is time to send an even more powerful and permanent message to the UN about Durban and its progeny.
Last night U.S. Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, the Ranking Republican on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, called on the Obama administration to “announce publicly, right now, that we will stay away from Durban III, deny it U.S. taxpayer dollars, and oppose all measures that seek to facilitate it. And we should encourage other responsible nations to do the same.”
Unfortunately, comments made by U.S. representative Sammis last evening suggest that the Obama administration will again refuse to take a leadership role in denying legitimacy to the Durban agenda. At Durban II, President Obama pulled out less than 48 hours before the event, ruining chances of building a larger coalition of like-minded states.

It is intended to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the debacle held in Durban, South Africa in 2001. But this time, the UN has outdone itself: the celebration of a notorious prescription for intolerance, closely linked to Islamic extremism, is now scheduled for New York City just days after the 10th anniversary of 9/11.
Like the Ground Zero mosque architects, the UN has decided to pour salt in the wounds of still grieving Americans. The crowds at Durban I held high their signs reading: “For the liberation of Quds, machine-guns based upon faith and Islam must be used,” and “The martyr’s blood irrigates the tree of revolution in Palestine.” The obvious connection between hate and terror, or incitement to violence and violence itself, is either irrelevant to the UN or part of the plan.
The resolution was adopted 121 states for, 19 against and 35 abstentions. States voting against included the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia, and most of the countries that had known Nazism at very close range: Germany, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland and Romania.
The plans for Durban III contained in the document are much more explicit than a usual UN resolution and contradict a very active misinformation campaign already underway by the UN and closely-related individuals and organizations.
Most heads of government avoided Durban I and the only one to attend Durban II was the poster-boy for racism and xenophobia himself, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. So for Durban III, the UN decided to ensnare most heads of state and government by scheduling the event to coincide with the annual opening of the UN General Assembly, when they are all present in New York anyway. The resolution sets the date as September 21, 2011 (“the second day of the General Debate”), and specifically designates it as a “High-Level” meeting “at the level of Heads of States and Governments.”
Contrary to some suggestions, the event will not be a quiet commemoration with minimal political design. Amendments made to the resolution late in the day decide that the meeting should “consist…of an opening plenary, consecutive round tables/thematic panels and a closing plenary meeting.” And then the meeting will adopt a final “political declaration.”
Lest anyone be delusional about which country is intended to be the first course at Durban III, the resolution pinpoints only one theme of the Declaration as the meeting’s focal point, namely, “Victims of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerances: Recognition, Justice and Development.” The carefully crafted Durban Declaration lists Palestinians as “Victims of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance.”
Of course, as history has demonstrated time and again, the meal never ends with the Jews. The Dutch representative valiantly spelled out to the General Assembly committee a bigger picture: “The fight against racism and discrimination is of such importance that we cannot support any effort to redirect our attention towards different agendas. Unfortunately, the Durban Declaration and…Review Conference did so…by elevating the protection of religion above the protection and promotion of human rights and by placing unnecessary restrictions on the freedom of expression…”
In addition, in the resolution the UN puts out a call for help from the world of rabble-rousers who masquerade as human rights enthusiasts. Despite being fully aware of the violent extremism characterizing the NGO Forum at Durban I, the resolution asks “civil society, including NGOs” “to organize and support” 10th anniversary initiatives “with high visibility.”
The Obama administration is clearly worried about the effects of Durban III on its policy of embracing the UN and its human rights apparatus. U.S. representative John Sammis spelled out their concerns, lamenting to the UN committee that the event “risks undermining the relationship we have worked hard to strengthen over the past few years between the United States and the UN.”
Indeed it does.
The question now is which countries will ensure that their heads of state and of government will not participate in such an outrage. The United States and Israel walked out of Durban I in disgust.
Australia, Canada, Czech Republic, Germany, Israel, Italy, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, and the United States refused to participate in Durban II.
With 19 votes against and another 35 democracies concerned enough to abstain, it is time to send an even more powerful and permanent message to the UN about Durban and its progeny.
Last night U.S. Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, the Ranking Republican on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, called on the Obama administration to “announce publicly, right now, that we will stay away from Durban III, deny it U.S. taxpayer dollars, and oppose all measures that seek to facilitate it. And we should encourage other responsible nations to do the same.”
Unfortunately, comments made by U.S. representative Sammis last evening suggest that the Obama administration will again refuse to take a leadership role in denying legitimacy to the Durban agenda. At Durban II, President Obama pulled out less than 48 hours before the event, ruining chances of building a larger coalition of like-minded states.

On March 20th, 2009, Army Ranger 1st Lieutenant Michael Behenna was sentenced to 25 years in prison for killing Ali Mansur, a known Al Qaeda operative while serving in Iraq. Mansur was known to be a member of an Al Qaeda cell operating in the lieutenant’s area of operation and was suspected to have organized an attack on Lt. Behenna’s platoon in April 2008 which killed two U.S. soldiers and injured two more. Army intelligence ordered the release of Mansur and Lt. Behenna was ordered to return the terrorist to his home.
During the return of Mansur, Lt. Behenna again questioned the Al Qaeda member for information about other members of the terrorist cell, and financial supporters. During this interrogation, Mansur attacked Lt. Behenna, who killed the terrorist in self-defense. The government subsequently prosecuted Lt. Behenna for premeditated murder.
Not only is this a miscarriage of justice on the behalf of Lt. Behenna, who was acting to prevent further loss of life in his platoon, it is demoralizing to the U.S. troops who continue to fight on behalf of the freedom and security of our nation. Whether it is U.S. border patrol agents, members of the armed forces, or FBI agents, no individual who is serving on the frontlines in the War on Terror should be so blatantly mistreated.

The real estate aspect is key here for LMDC chair Menin.

Recent polls reflect that Bush and Obama are now just about even in popularity.
Obama's supporters in the House have suffered the worst Democratic shellacking since 1938. The president got out of Washington on a foreign tour immediately after the election -- only to be cold-shouldered by fair-weather foreign leaders who sensed weakness.
Bush, in contrast, is basking in endless media exposure as he expounds on his best-selling memoir -- appearing above the partisan fray, past and present.

The government says it will not tolerate anti-Semitic and homophobic lessons being taught to Muslim children in the UK.
BBC Panorama found that more than 40 Saudi Students' Schools and Clubs are teaching the official Saudi national curriculum to about 5,000 pupils.
One text book shows how the hands and feet of thieves are chopped off.
The Saudi government said it had no official ties to the part-time schools and clubs and did not endorse them.
However, a building in west London where Panorama obtained one of the text books is owned by the Saudi government.
The director of education for the Saudi Students' Schools and Clubs said the Saudi Cultural Bureau, which is part of the embassy, had authority over the network.
'Hellfire'
Education Secretary Michael Gove said there was no place for the Saudi teachings with regard to Jews or homosexuals in Britain: "To my mind it doesn't seem to me that this is the sort of material that should be used in English schools."
He said in light of the BBC's findings, the school inspectorate Ofsted was looking into the possible regulation and inspection of out-of-hours schools and clubs. At present, part-time schools do not fall within Ofsted's mandate.
"Ofsted are doing some work in this area, they'll be reporting to me shortly about how we can ensure that part-time provision is better registered and better inspected in the future," Mr Gove said.
One of the text books asks children to list the "reprehensible" qualities of Jewish people. A text for younger children asks what happens to someone who dies who is not a believer in Islam - the answer given in the text book is "hellfire".
Another text describes the punishment for gay sex as death and states a difference of opinion about whether it should be carried out by stoning, burning with fire or throwing the person over a cliff.
In a book for 14-year-olds, Sharia law and its punishment for theft are explained, including detailed diagrams about how hands and feet of thieves are amputated.

Children Hacking Off Hands
This best illustrates the danger inherent in madrassas. Here in America, the expansion of the Islamic Saudi Academy (whose valedictorian is serving a life sentence for a plot to assassinate the President) has met fierce opposition, and rightly so. Fairfax County Board of Supervisors approved the hate academy's plan to expand.
The Islamic Saudi Academy (ISA), is founded, funded, and controlled by the Saudi Government. The school’s curriculum and the crimes committed by those who attended or worked at the ISA:
* Ismail Selim Elbarasse served as an accountant at ISA for 14 years before he was arrested for videotaping bridge structures including the Chesapeake Bay Bridge in August, 2004. On the day of his arrest, he was also named as an “unindicted co-conspirator” for laundering money on behalf of the American affiliate of Hamas.
* Ahmed Omar Abu Ali, an ISA valedictorian, is serving a thirty-year prison sentence for providing material support to Al-Qaeda and plotting to assassinate President G.W. Bush.
* Abdalla I. Al-Shabnan, Director General (Principal) ISA, was arrested by Fairfax police in June, 2008 for obstruction of justice and failing to report a case of child sexual abuse involving a five year old girl at the Popes Head campus. Al-Shabnan was fined $500.
§ Mohammed El-Yacoubi and Mohammed Osman Idris, were denied entry into Israel when authorities there found El-Yacoubi carrying what the FBI believed was a suicide note linked to a planned martyrdom operation in Israel.There is a pattern of anti-American, anti-Semitic and anti-Christian activity at the Islamic Saudi Academy. The curriculum sanctions murder against Jews, adulterers, homosexuals, and converts from Islam—for all other Americans these would be considered crimes.
Strict Islamic teaching is being taught in the West to Muslim children.

This is an outrageous statement (among many). Daisy Khan and Imam Rauf intend to float public debt to raise the money for the Ground Zero mega mosque (more here). Daisy Khan and her husband Imam Rauf have been ripping off the taxpayers for decades. They are being sued by Union City. Daisy and Rauf took millions of taxpayer monies -- they snagged more than $2 million in public financing to renovate low-income apartments. Rauf kept the money and never made the repairs. He took the money and forced good people to live with vermin and dilapidation.
They are unfit.
Rauf and his wife, Daisy the Con, listed their one-bedroom apartment as a mosque in order to conduct what amounts to tax fraud. Rauf got the wildly valuable tax-exempt status for his Muslim organization after deceiving the IRS. He claimed that as many as 500 of its members prayed in that tiny one bedroom apartment (also listed as Daisy's residence). Rauf sought "church status" -- to avoid paying taxes.
But this? This will not happen.

Recall that the 5th Circuit ruled that Judge Solis must unseal his earlier ruling in the collateral matter arising out of HLF criminal trial in which CAIR, ISNA, and NAIT sought to have Judge Solis rule that the USG’s listing them as UCCs and/or JVs publicly violated their 5th Am rights. But, in so doing, he ruled that he would not strike them from the list, and he apparently proceeded to go through the evidence connecting them to Hamas, IAP, etc. (I say “apparently” because we could only infer this from the 5th Circuit ruling.) Then, Judge Solis put his ruling under seal and the trial brief, but not before, of course, it was public knowledge. A pyrrhic victiry for the Hamas boys and girls, to be sure.
CAIR and ISNA decided to let well enough alone, but not NAIT. NAIT appealed to the 5th Circuit and wanted the appeals court to reiterate that its 5th Amendment rights were violated, wanted Solis’s earlier ruling unsealed and reiterated its request to have NAIT’s name expunged from the UCC/JV list. The 5th Circuit refused to expunge NAIT or otherwise strike the list altogether.
What the 5th Circuit did do was chastise Judge Solis a bit by saying that his characterization of the evidence relative to the justification by the gov’t putting these three groups on the list was irrelevant dicta and not necessary to have concluded that the movants’ 5th Amendment rights had been violated.
So, Friday Solis’s July 1, 2009 opinion was unsealed. Trust me when I say that this is how you lose when you “win” an appeal. CAIR, ISNA, and NAIT lose big time with this opinion now unsealed.
We can now fill in a few gaps…

CAIR Funds Terrorists
The Hamas-linked, Muslim Brotherhood front CAIR is deceiving, fabricating and twisting a recent ruling on its status as an unindicted co-conspirator in the largest Hamas terror funding trial in American history. Back in October, CAIR was awfully quiet when the verdict was read. It has since tried ti spin it, counting on Obama's Department of Justice dereliction of duty in not prosecuting the case against Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas-linked groups that are plotting on "eliminating and destroying Western civilization from within" (according to the internal, captured document entered into evidence in that trial).

Muzzammil “Mo” HASSAN, the founder and chief executive officer of Bridges TV and moderate Muslim chopped his wife's head off yesterday in an Islamic honor killing. The USA. Islamic culture thrives as a culture within a culture here. Media silence and both their reluctance and law enforcement reluctance to prosecute Islamic crime is advances Islamic law (sharia) in secular society. This New York honor killing was not committed by some recent third world immigrant. This was a successful business man, assimilated into Western culture (as much as Islam allows). He committed no crime according to sharia law.
One can only imagine the homemade prison, the abject terror the beheading victim, Aasiya Z. Hassan, 37, had to live in (and die under). She sought to obtain an order of protection from her Muslim husband. To no avail. It was, sadly, her final act of bravery, for which she paid with her head.
Now moderate "Mo," “a troublesome and problematic inmate” is verbally and physically assaulting the Holding Center officer. Brutal, violent Muslims attack and then cry racism, "white nazis!". I feel sorry for the guards that have to put up with this human stain.
Hassan charged with harassment Buffalo News
Muzzamil S. “Mo” Hassan was charged Friday with misdemeanor harassment and obstruction for the Erie County Holding Center disturbance he blamed on “white Nazis” who patrol the downtown lockup.
During brief court proceedings, City Judge E. Jeannette Ogden ordered Hassan, 45, returned on Nov. 29 for further proceedings on the complaint.
During a court appearance Wednesday for his upcoming trial for the decapitation slaying of his estranged wife, Hassan complained that up to 16 “white Nazi” guards attacked him Nov. 10, leaving him fearful that he will be killed and his death called a suicide.
Also during the appearance, Hassan said he was waterboarded.
In a legal turnabout, Hassan is charged with attacking the Holding Center guard he had accused in court of attacking him.
Undersheriff Mark N. Wipperman, who could not be reached to comment Friday, earlier denounced Hassan’s complaints as “preposterous.”
Wipperman called Hassan “a troublesome and problematic inmate” since his incarceration after the Feb. 12, 2009, beheading of his estranged wife, a week after she had begun divorce proceedings.
In City Court papers filed Friday, Hassan is accused of verbally and physically assaulting the Holding Center officer.
At about 8:45 p. m. Nov. 10, Hassan cursed and lunged at the guard after he had ordered Hassan and oth-
er inmates to get into their cells for nightly lockup, according to court papers.
The guard told superiors Hassan struck him in the chest and right arm. “Acting in self-defense,” the guard said, he wrestled Hassan to the floor until other guards came to his aid.
Though Hassan claimed he was bleeding following the disturbance, an examination showed no bleeding on Hassan and neither he nor the guard involved in the incident appeared injured.

There Will Be Blood
Former Senator Alan Simpson is a Very Serious Person. He must be — after all, President Obama appointed him as co-chairman of a special commission on deficit reduction.

So here’s what the very serious Mr. Simpson said on Friday: “I can’t wait for the blood bath in April. ... When debt limit time comes, they’re going to look around and say, ‘What in the hell do we do now? We’ve got guys who will not approve the debt limit extension unless we give ’em a piece of meat, real meat,’ ” meaning spending cuts. “And boy, the blood bath will be extraordinary,” he continued.
Think of Mr. Simpson’s blood lust as one more piece of evidence that our nation is in much worse shape, much closer to a political breakdown, than most people realize.
Some explanation: There’s a legal limit to federal debt, which must be raised periodically if the government keeps running deficits; the limit will be reached again this spring. And since nobody, not even the hawkiest of deficit hawks, thinks the budget can be balanced immediately, the debt limit must be raised to avoid a government shutdown. But Republicans will probably try to blackmail the president into policy concessions by, in effect, holding the government hostage; they’ve done it before.
Now, you might think that the prospect of this kind of standoff, which might deny many Americans essential services, wreak havoc in financial markets and undermine America’s role in the world, would worry all men of good will. But no, Mr. Simpson “can’t wait.” And he’s what passes, these days, for a reasonable Republican.
The fact is that one of our two great political parties has made it clear that it has no interest in making America governable, unless it’s doing the governing. And that party now controls one house of Congress, which means that the country will not, in fact, be governable without that party’s cooperation — cooperation that won’t be forthcoming.
Elite opinion has been slow to recognize this reality. Thus on the same day that Mr. Simpson rejoiced in the prospect of chaos, Ben Bernanke, the Federal Reserve chairman, appealed for help in confronting mass unemployment. He asked for “a fiscal program that combines near-term measures to enhance growth with strong, confidence-inducing steps to reduce longer-term structural deficits.”
My immediate thought was, why not ask for a pony, too? After all, the G.O.P. isn’t interested in helping the economy as long as a Democrat is in the White House. Indeed, far from being willing to help Mr. Bernanke’s efforts, Republicans are trying to bully the Fed itself into giving up completely on trying to reduce unemployment.
And on matters fiscal, the G.O.P. program is to do almost exactly the opposite of what Mr. Bernanke called for. On one side, Republicans oppose just about everything that might reduce structural deficits: they demand that the Bush tax cuts be made permanent while demagoguing efforts to limit the rise in Medicare costs, which are essential to any attempts to get the budget under control. On the other, the G.O.P. opposes anything that might help sustain demand in a depressed economy — even aid to small businesses, which the party claims to love.
Right now, in particular, Republicans are blocking an extension of unemployment benefits — an action that will both cause immense hardship and drain purchasing power from an already sputtering economy. But there’s no point appealing to the better angels of their nature; America just doesn’t work that way anymore.
And opposition for the sake of opposition isn’t limited to economic policy. Politics, they used to tell us, stops at the water’s edge — but that was then.
These days, national security experts are tearing their hair out over the decision of Senate Republicans to block a desperately needed new strategic arms treaty. And everyone knows that these Republicans oppose the treaty, not because of legitimate objections, but simply because it’s an Obama administration initiative; if sabotaging the president endangers the nation, so be it.
How does this end? Mr. Obama is still talking about bipartisan outreach, and maybe if he caves in sufficiently he can avoid a federal shutdown this spring. But any respite would be only temporary; again, the G.O.P. is just not interested in helping a Democrat govern.
My sense is that most Americans still don’t understand this reality. They still imagine that when push comes to shove, our politicians will come together to do what’s necessary. But that was another country.
It’s hard to see how this situation is resolved without a major crisis of some kind. Mr. Simpson may or may not get the blood bath he craves this April, but there will be blood sooner or later. And we can only hope that the nation that emerges from that blood bath is still one we recognize.

The government will help complete development projects—but it does not provide seed capital. And in their last public financial statement, Park51 was found to have less than $20,000 in the bank for a project with a slated cost of $100 million.

The bipartisan National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform, known on television as "the deficit commission" and on progressive blogs as "the catfood commission" (in honor of what it could leave our senior citizens dining on), has not yet released its proposals for reducing the deficit, but the two chairmen, Erskine Bowles and Alan Simpson, have published their own set of preliminary proposals that include reducing the military budget by $100 billion. Bribed Witnesses Recant in Kenya Post Election Violence, Rape, Murder
Atlas covered the unspeakable violence following the loss of Obama-supported, sharia-promoting Raila Odinga in the Kenyan presidential election back in 2008. Obama opposed our American ally, President Kibaki, and supported his pal, Raila Odinga, who used rape as a weapon. Odinga tore through the country using murder and rape as his weapons of choice. Justice Minister Martha Karua said that Odinga's group (Orange Democratic Movement) had planned to carry out systematic ethnic cleansing.
Odinga's 'opposition party' was opposed to democracy and free elections, and refused to accept the result of the national election. Raila Odinga rejected a presidential invitation for talks. Instead, he hoped to sow the seeds of violent civil war.
Further, Atlas was one of the first outlets to report that Odinga had signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Muslim community of Kenya to institute sharia law should he win.
The deadly combination of Odinga's blood strikes against the people of Kenya and Obama's tacit support led to a "power sharing deal" that resulted in Rail Odinga being named Prime Minister.

'Bribed' witnesses will not testify in Kenya case

THE HAGUE, Netherlands—International Criminal Court investigators probing the postelection violence in Kenya will not use testimony from three witnesses who claim they were bribed to provide false evidence against a prominent politician, the court's prosecutor said Wednesday.
Luis Moreno Ocampo also said he is aware of attempts to intimidate or bribe potential witnesses in the case and has informed Kenyan authorities.
Moreno Ocampo's written statement did not name the politician, but it came days after the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights said that Kenya's former higher education minister, William Ruto, should be investigated for allegedly persuading three men in a witness protection program to recant statements they made implicating him in the violence that erupted in late 2007 and 2008 after Kenyan elections.
Ruto was higher education minister until last month. He recently traveled to The Hague in an attempt to clear his name as investigators prepare to indict suspects before the end of the year.
Moreno Ocampo has said the killing of more than 1,000 people along with instances of rape and forced deportation after the election amount to crimes against humanity, and he expects to charge up to six suspects who bear the greatest responsibility.
In April, Moreno Ocampo said he had a list of 20 possible suspects that included leaders of President Mwai Kibaki's Party of National Unity and Prime Minister Raila Odinga's Orange Democratic Movement.
It was well known at the time that Odinga led the bloodshed.
Moreno Ocampo's statement Wednesday appeared to be an attempt to reassure Kenyans that the world's first permanent war crimes tribunal will not be fooled by false witnesses and will deal impartially with the politically charged case.
"The judicial process will show respect for the victims, respect for the law and also respect for the suspects," he said, pledging that those most responsible "will face justice."
Upon returning from his talks with the court in The Hague, Ruto claimed the Kenyan human rights commission bribed witnesses to implicate him. The day after Ruto returned, the three men who had earlier cooperated with the government-funded commission signed sworn statements recanting the allegations they had made against Ruto.
They claimed one of the organization's commissioners, Hassan Omar Hassan, coached and coerced them to name Ruto in their statements.
But Hassan said what the men claimed as bribes are standard payments for the commission's witness protection program. He said Ruto may be trying to derail the ICC process by discrediting potential witnesses.

A report (PDF) from the International Council on Security and Development (ICOS) shows that 92 percent of those surveyed had never heard of the coordinated multiple attacks on US soil on September 11, 2001. It also shows that four in 10 Afghans believe the US is on their soil in order to "destroy Islam or occupy Afghanistan."
To be sure, the survey can't claim to be definitive: It only canvassed men, and relied primarily on respondents from Helmand and Kandahar, the two most war-torn provinces in the country. But the results nonetheless show that Western forces fighting insurgents in Afghanistan have largely failed to connect with the local population.
“We need to explain to the Afghan people why we are here, and both show and convince them that their future is better with us than with the Taliban,” ICOS lead field researcher Norine MacDonald said in a statement.
The survey also suggests that Afghans are skeptical of their own government's ability to protect them, and have little regard for the fledgling democratic institutions the country is building. Fully 43 percent could not name one positive aspect of democracy, and nearly two-thirds -- 61 percent -- said they didn't think Afghan forces would be able to keep up the fight against the Taliban if and when Western forces withdrew.

ONE of Scotland's foremost terrorism experts has warned the explosion at Gartocharn near Loch Lomond last week may indicate a terrorist attack on Britain is imminent.
Professor David Capitanchik, terror expert from Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, told Scotland on Sunday that the blast, which was heard several hundred yards away and has raised the possibility of an al-Qaeda style training camp operating in the area bore the hallmarks of a test run. "Terrorists get training in Pakistan, or Afghanistan, they get shown the materials and how to put the bombs together. But the critical thing is how to detonate it." he said. "I would think they were planning for something imminent."
Forensics officers, including counter-terrorism specialists from the Metropolitan Police and Royal Navy explosives experts, were yesterday still carrying out a fingertip search of the blast area, where it is believed several devices have been recovered.
A wide area has been closed off to the public and, on Friday, Met helicopters with thermal imaging equipment flew over the area. A tree is thought to have snapped in half during the explosion, reported to the police on Wednesday afternoon by a dog walker.
A former senior security source said: "This is somebody who is testing the viability of an explosive. They are testing out a mixture or some sort of device to see if it works."
He added: "I think it's pretty clear this is a big concern. Ever since Mumbai (a terrorist attack on the Indian city], when gunmen entered the building carrying explosives, we have been concerned about that.
"So someone testing devices to see if they will work is a worry."
He said the investigation would focus on specific hallmarks of terrorist activity.
"What they will be looking for is any traces or fragments which they can analyse to what nature of explosive it is - commercial, military or homemade.
"Depending on which it is and what debris they can find, they may be able to trace it back to who would use this, who would have exploded it."
Chief superintendent Calum Murray, divisional commander, Argyll, Bute and West Dunbartonshire, last night maintained that terrorism-related activity could not be ruled out.
He said: "The location of this explosion poses a significant challenge in terms of the size of the area and the terrain we are searching.

He added: "I think it's pretty clear this is a big concern. Ever since Mumbai (a terrorist attack on the Indian city], when gunmen entered the building carrying explosives, we have been concerned about that.
"So someone testing devices to see if they will work is a worry."
He said the investigation would focus on specific hallmarks of terrorist activity.
"What they will be looking for is any traces or fragments which they can analyse to what nature of explosive it is - commercial, military or homemade.
"Depending on which it is and what debris they can find, they may be able to trace it back to who would use this, who would have exploded it."
Chief superintendent Calum Murray, divisional commander, Argyll, Bute and West Dunbartonshire, last night maintained that terrorism-related activity could not be ruled out.
He said: "The location of this explosion poses a significant challenge in terms of the size of the area and the terrain we are searching.

On the Fence with Aasif Mandvi

He’s been an audio book reader, a one-man show performer and the “brown guy” correspondent on “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.” Now he’s the co-writer and star of “Today’s Special.” Even though he’s busy promoting his film, Aasif Mandvi talked with Speakeasy about the political force Jon Stewart has become.
The Wall Street Journal: What are your thoughts on Jon Stewart’s growing prominence in the political world?
It’s fantastic. Listen, Jon Stewart is a guy who doesn’t shave and walks around in his underwear in the office. So the fact that people take him with any serious regard at all is exceptional for me and I’m flummoxed by it. But apparently people are really listening to what he has to say.
Did you attend the “Rally to Restore Sanity?”
Yeah, I was forced to go. Just between you and I there were only about 10,000 people there. The other 200,000 was CGI. Just kidding. I was backstage most of the time and it was awesome because I got to meet Cat Stevens and R2D2 and it was ridiculous. I mean, you can be snarky and throw spitballs from the back of the class and you can be that guy. But then there’s something awe-inspiring and really very genuine about all those people showing up and wanting to represent in that way. And I know that Jon was even quite verklempt by the whole thing. And part of it had to do with this experience of community, they just wanted to be there representing in some way. And they made their signs and ironic whatever you want to call them, and they came down there and they represented and made it a communal experience.
There’s an immense energy behind Stewart. What do you think that energy and influence will turn into?
I don’t know what it’s going to turn into. I think that what we do often is, you know, we are beholden to nothing but comedy and so that allows us the freedom to ask those questions, to put the camera lens in places where other news organization may not put it or don’t want to put it. And we do because we are trying to find out the absurdities. Our job is to point out the hypocrisy, the absurdity, to call B.S. when there’s B.S. to be called and that’s kind of what we do. So I think in many cases that allows for us to have a kind of freedom.
On the show you are advertised as “brown.” What does that mean for you?
Not to get too philosophical about it but there is something about all the work that I do that is really about sitting on that fence between cultures. “The Daily Show” has become an example of that. I think the most powerful stuff I get to do on “The Daily Show” and the most insightful stuff is when I’m sitting on the fence commenting on both sides as an insider and an outsider at the same time, and that’s a position that “The Daily Show” benefits from having. But for me personally, it’s what all of my writing and creative stuff is about.
What is “The Daily Show” brand of comedy?
We’re satirists, “The Daily Show” is ultimately a show that often comes out of Jon’s own personal frustration. Some would call it cynical but I think it’s more frustrated. I think it’s a form of satire which is very necessary and cathartic in our society. I think that it attracts a very highly skilled comedy show writers and very funny people.
My BOOK Could Outlive the Human Race
About 10 years ago in a seaside cafe two writers chatted over an Italian snack and a glass of wine. The male, a screenplay writer bemoaned the budgets for movies drying up and the movie industry being run by bean counters (accountants) and not by creative directors.
His female companion, had had three of her screenplays sold to Disney in one set of transactions by her agent, who then absconded with the downpayments.
The loss of this money was less severe than the three scripts being tainted by the theft and thus never likely to be produced. Losing much more money and wasting the time and effort she had put into it.
"You've been there and done that, had a price put on your head four times by the bad guys, know palace and national secrets, probably exceed what would be credible in a script, had countless female interactions so write a book".
I went home and began writing brief "reminder" notes, four inches thick in one large single sheet binder and several other folders each about an inch. I didn't have to invent anything - just remember things.
Saw my first dead body, shot while trying to infiltrate a British compound when I was three years old.
From a distance I wondered why the man who was sitting propped up inside the perimeter wall had such a black face while his half naked body was light skinned. Still don't know the answer though I recognized the bullet wounds in his chest and stomach.
What the British Colonel Patrick had to do to get it to the nearest authorities is an amusing comedic-tragic story of its own.
With the latest Nuance Dragon Naturally Speaking (voice to text) version 11 to do the typing (after I get through training it) and an Olympus DS 2400 digital audio recorder to carry around while doing other things, the book conceived ten years ago is being born.
No hurry? No pressure? Actually there is a likely deadly deadline.
If the Mayans were right - and recently Australian scientist are vocally but indirectly supporting the Mayan timetable, we are perhaps unable to survive the sun throwing solar winds at us with the impact of a 100 million Hydrogen Bombs around the end of 2012 or early 2013.
Hard to imagine our planet will survive so writing the book is possibly a short term work and will be offered as a social chat with the reader on a broad variety of real life subjects and true events. Without any guarantee of any readers surviving to read it.
If Soros and Obama persevere and succeed with their plans to financially destroy the world as we know it, we can expect a potential global disaster preceding the one Mayans calculated. Not a big difference, rather like being hit and killed by a van or a Mack truck. Same difference for the person being hit.
With ability to self-publish I have not worried about finding a publisher. Once written the book will easily attract publishers. So a new, enjoyable task on my rather full plate, which will shed light into some still dark corners and secrets of well known individuals or families.

During the past month, Imam Yusuf al-Qaradawi, spiritual guide to the Muslim Brotherhood, has called on Muslims to acquire nuclear weapons "to terrorize their enemies." He also boycotted an interfaith meeting with Jews on grounds he believes they support murdering Muslims in Palestine, and he additionally said Muslims are permitted to kill Israeli women because they serve in the army.
This continues Qaradawi's long-established support of violent jihad. But despite this record, he has been embraced as a "moderate" Muslim by his defenders in the West and the Arab world. In a September interview, former London Mayor Ken Livingstone said "the fact that Sheikh Qaradawi has been banned [from Britain] is a disgrace; he is one of the leading progressive voices in the Muslim world." Livingstone blamed "a huge smear campaign organized by Zionists."
In America, John Esposito, a religious scholar who is close to the Brotherhood, has called Qaradawi a supporter of a "reformist interpretation of Islam and its relationship to democracy, pluralism and human rights." The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and prominent Islamists like Tariq Ramadan, grandson of Muslim Brotherhood founder Hasan al-Banna, have expressed similar sentiments about Qaradawi.
Barrie Osborne, producer of Hollywood blockbusters like The Lord of the Rings and The Matrix, has hired Qaradawi as a consultant for a movie about the Prophet Mohammed. Last month, Qaradawi was given a medal for public service by King Abdullah of Jordan.
Qaradawi has won these awards despite a long record of anti-Semitism and advocating violence against purported enemies of islam. Consider the following examples:
* In an interview last month with Al-Jazeera's Arabic-language service, Qaradawi was asked if Muslims should try to get atomic weapons "to terrorize their enemies." Qaradawi replied that this goal would be permissible, saying he was "happy" to learn that Pakistan had such a nuclear weapon to defend itself. Qaradawi explained that that was the meaning of Koranic verses urging Muslims "to terrorize thereby the enemy of God and your enemy."
Support for Iran and Muslim rights to possess nuclear technology have been recurring themes for Qaradawi.
"It is obligatory on all Muslims to resist any possible attack the US might launch against Iran," Qaradawi said in a 2007 interview. "The U.S. is an enemy of Islam that has already declared war on Islam under the disguise of war on terrorism and provides Israel with unlimited support."
It was wrong to deny Iran the right to ostensibly peaceful nuclear technology so long as the United States and Israel had nuclear weapons, he said.
* Last month, Qaradawi boycotted the 8th Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue conference in Qatar, saying he opposes discourse with Jews on principle.
"How can we conduct a dialogue in a time when they seize lands, shed blood, burn farms, and demolish houses? Palestine's conundrum has to be resolved first before we sit together at the same table," he said.
A source close to Qaradawi told the Egyptian newspaper al-Masry al-Youm that the imam does not oppose talking to Jews because of their religious affiliation, noting that he has met with representatives of the anti-Zionist Neturai Karta, an organization seen here attending a Holocaust-denial conference staged by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
The Neturai Karta are Jews who reject the principles of Zionism and the occupation of Muslim lands, although "the majority of Jews at present are with the actions of murder in Palestine," the source said in explaining Qaradawi's willingness to talk to the group.
* In a recorded address last month to a Hamas-organized parley in Gaza, Qaradawi said Palestinians must continue violence against Israel.

A Muslim woman has lodged an appeal after she was sentenced to six months in prison for falsely accusing a police officer of forcibly removing her veil.
Carnita Matthews, a 46-year-old mother of seven, broke down in tears as Magistrate Robert Rabbidge described her crime as "deliberate, malicious and ruthless".
"There is not a shadow of doubt in my mind, beyond a reasonable doubt, that she knew that the complaint she was making was false," he told Campbelltown Local Court on Friday.
"The system would collapse, of course, if people are making false and wrong complaints to authorities."
Matthews was charged with one count of making a false complaint against police in August, after signing a statutory declaration claiming an officer forced her to remove her hijab, or face veil.
It was made three days after she was pulled over by Senior Constable Paul Fogarty at Woodbine, in Sydney's southwest, for a random breath test on June 7 this year.
A video of the incident, which was played to the court, shows Matthews accusing the officer of being a racist after he handed her a fine for not displaying green P-plates properly.
"You look at me and see me wearing this and you couldn't handle it. All cops are racist," she says.
The magistrate rejected her lawyer's argument that the prosecution could not prove it was Matthews herself who made the complaint and signed the declaration.
But police prosecutor sergeant Lisa McEvoy said there was no doubt.
"Her signature on that affidavit coupled with the signature on her driver's licence is exactly the same," she told the court.

Clowns with a Slave Mentality Teach Our Children
A Wayne Valley High school student used the word “Taliban” and said it was innocent, mentioned in a conversation about a video game, but a Muslim student who overheard it at school on Thursday perceived he was looking at her when he said it. So the child was suspended.
More knee-jerk submission to sharia (Islamic law: do not insult islam) for fear of Muslim violence. There can be no other explanation. These cowards call it political correctness, but it is way beyond that now.
How dare they suspend this child for saying "taliban"? A Muslim girl perceived the student was "looking at her" when he said it.......... so Muslim pereception = suspension.
This is beyond.
And the Taliban are devout Muslims, adhering to the strict code of the sharia. Could it not be argued that the school insulted Islam by implying that Taliban is a bad word and not a devout, holy Islamic group? Obama is partnering with Taliban in Afghanistan, is he not? Where is CAIR defending the piety of the Taliban?
Is the punishment the same for Muslim students who "offend" or are "perceived" to offend non-Muslim students?
Based on this impossible standard, every Muslim Student Association on college and university campus should be thrown off campus for their harassment, intimidation and threats towards the Jewish students. Based on this, they should serve jail time.

WAYNE — On one side, a Wayne Valley High school student claims that his use of the word “Taliban” was innocent, mentioned in a conversation about a video game, according to his mother.
But to a Muslim student who overheard it at school on Thursday, it was upsetting. And she had perceived that he had looked at her when he said it, Principal Robert Reis said.
Now the boy is facing a one-day suspension on Monday, because, Reis said, he continued to talk about the incident and it got back to the girl and upset her. Reis said she felt the boy was boasting that he’d gotten away with something.
“This has nothing to do with the fact that the boy used a word,” Reis said. “This has everything to do with the boy hurt a girl’s feelings.” And after the boy was told by administrators not to discuss what happened, Reis said, “He went back and hurt her feelings a second time.”
But the boy’s mother, Rosa Giordano, said the incident “is totally being blown out of proportion” and she plans to fight the disciplinary action.
The incident has unfolded during a time of heightened sensitivity about bullying in schools. Reis said the school takes a “no nonsense” stance and coincidentally had been planning a December forum to discuss the issue.
Giordano said her son was not being a bully and is himself bi-racial.
“He never saw this girl before,” she said. “It was an innocent thing. How does she know he was not talking about a newspaper story?”
She said she plans to go to the district offices early Monday morning to fight for her son to be allowed to attend school that day.
“I don’t want this on his record as a racial slur and bullying,” she said. “I am sorry the girl got offended by the world ‘Taliban.’ I will make sure my son never says the word again … the poor kid is so upset he doesn’t want to go to school.”
Reis said administrators had planned to treat the situation as a teachable moment and meet simultaneously with both students to talk about it. The boy was suspended after the girl came to Reis upset a second time.
Giordano claims her son was embarrassed by the incident. She said he told a friend “nothing happened” because he didn’t want to talk about it, not to brag that he got away with anything.
