But the relationship quickly becomes more sinister as the abuser plies the child with drink and drugs before effectively pimping her out to friends and associates.

The worst cases involve young girls being moved around the country to be repeatedly abused.

Charities and agencies working in conjunction with the police to help victims of sexual abuse in such cases have publicly denied there is a link between ethnicity and the on-street grooming of young girls by gangs and pimps.

But in 17 court cases since 1997 where groups of men were prosecuted, 53 of the 56 people found guilty were Asian, 50 of them Muslim, while just three were white, according to The Times.

The claims come after five Asian men were jailed in November for a total of 32 years for a string of sexual offences against girls aged between 12 and 16 in Rotherham, South Yorkshire.

The presiding judge Peter Kelson QC, told the men they were ‘sexual predators’, adding: ‘You had what you regarded as your fun. Now you will take your punishment.

'All five of you were ­convicted of sexual activity with a child. The clue is in the title: a child.’

APRIL 2006: GANG RAPE IN BLACKPOOL

In a case sparked by the disappearance of Charlene Downes, 14, two illegal immigrants were jailed for the rape of another girl, 16.

Puppy Parmar, 31, was sentenced to seven years and three months while Sandeep Chauhan got six years and five months.

Preston Crown Court heard how the girl and a friend were given alcohol at an Indian restaurant before being taken to an attic and assaulted. One victim was abused by four men.

Police have never found any trace of Charlene and two men were acquitted of her murder after a jury failed to reach verdicts.

AUGUST 2007: BLACKBURN VICTIMS PASSED ROUND ABUSERS' FAMILIES

A police inquiry into grooming of girls as young as 12 eventually led to the conviction of Zulfqar Hussain, 46, and Qaiser Naveed, 32.

They targeted two 14-year-olds in the care of social services, plying them with drink an drugs before having sex with them in a BMW and a flat.

The victims were also offered to brothers, uncles and friends for sex.

Both were jailed for five years and eight months on charges including abduction, sexual activity with a child and supplying drugs.

OCTOBER 2007 AND JANUARY 2008: 33 VICTIMS AGED 12 TO 15 IN SHEFFIELD

The city's crown court heard how an inquiry was sparked when a number of girls went missing from home.

One 14-year-old was taken for a car ride before being raped.

Failed Iraqi asylum seeker Ayad Mahmood, 35, and Aziz Sabir Hamed, 24, were both given a ten-year sentence.

FEBRUARY 2010: ROCHDALE VICTIM, 16, RAPED BY THREE MEN WHILE FOURTH TOOK PICTURES

Ajmal Afridi, 19, Imitiaz Syed, 20, Tayub Hussain, 19, Mustafa Arshad, 17, and Mohammed Usman Raja, 20, were all jailed for their part in the assault.

The girl was given whisky and possibly sleeping tablets before being raped by Afridi, Syed and Hussain while Arshad took pictures.

She was later found wandering the streets. Raja was jailed for perverting the course of justice.

NOVEMBER 2010: THE DERBY CASE

In one of the most notorious incidents of street grooming to date, nine men were convicted of abusing young girls.

Abid Siddique, 27, Mohammed Liaqat, 28, Mohamed Imran Rehman, 26, Faisal Mehmood, 24, Akshay Kumar, 38, Naweed Liaqat, 33, Farooq Ahmed, 29, Graham Blackham, 26 and Ziafat Yasin, 31, were jailed for their parts in the shocking case.

More than 100 police officers were involved in Operation Retriever, which identified 27 victims, 22 of whom were white.

Siddique and Liaqat targeted their victims on the streets of Derby while driving in a BMW.

They then exchanged number, invited them to parties and fed them drugs and alcohol before handing them to older men for sex.

The abuse, which took place in bushes, cars and houses was filmed for ther men to share.

Vulture tagged by Israeli scientists flies into Saudi Arabia ... and is arrested for being a spy

Authorities in Saudi Arabia arrested a suspected Mossad spy when they captured a vulture.

The bird, tagged at Tel Aviv University for a science study, flew into Saudi territory, where it was nabbed, according to Haaretz News Service.

The bird was wearing a transmitter and leg bracelet as part of a migration research project, but the tags bore the words 'Tel Aviv University' and prompted suspicion

Last month a politician in Egypt suggested that the deadly shark that killed and maimed multiple tourist may have been sent by Mossad.

The animal could have been, the Sinai regional governor claimed, an Israeli agent.

'What is being said about the Mossad throwing the deadly shark in the sea to hit tourism in Egypt is not out of the question. But it needs time to confirm,' Mohamed Abdel Fadil Shousha said at the time.

The 112th Congress has a lot of work to do. Shortly after the November elections, The Heritage Foundation released A Checklist for Congress calling on the 112th to honor the voters who elected them to Congress by (1) freezing and cutting spending, (2) repealing Obamacare, (3) stopping the Obama tax increases, (4) protecting America, and (5) getting control of government. That last item is perhaps the most significant, and it is exactly why the 112th’s return to the Constitution is so important. Our Constitution is a document of limited, enumerated powers, forming the architecture of our liberty. It is the way "We the people" control the government.

But not everyone sees it this way. The New York Times editorializes this morning: "There is a similar air of vacuous fundamentalism in requiring that every bill cite the Constitutional power given to Congress to enact it." We’ll let President Abraham Lincoln respond:

Frankly, this is of little import. What difference does it make who the press secretary is when you have the most opaque, dishonest and secretive administration in US history? Seriously.

Gibbs was a bumbling, contemptuous fool, but in an O-ministration, that is what is required.

Oh, for the days of Ari Fleischer or any press secretary who actually said something.

Press secretary Robert Gibbs is leaving the White House. The New York Times reports:

Robert Gibbs, the White House press secretary and close confidante to President Obama, said Wednesday that he will step down and become an outside political adviser to the president and his re-election campaign.

Mr. Gibbs said that he intends to leave the podium in early February. His successor has not yet been decided, he said, but will likely be announced within the next two weeks.

President Obama, who is in the midst of making final decisions on the first major reorganization of his administration, said in a brief telephone interview on Wednesday that Mr. Gibbs would remain aa close adviser and “will continue to shape the dialogue politically for many years to come.”

Hamas Group CAIR Pushes for Islamic Law (Sharia) in Indiana

There is no more radical, extreme system of governance than Islamic law (sharia). Indiana is proposing a bill that would ban sharia. I pray that they vet the language of the bill with legal experts on sharia (ie David Yerushalmi), so that they don't lose on a technicality. The Oklahoma ban was brilliant but poorly worded and had 70% of voters approving of it -- it is clear that American people understand the Islamic threat to our constituional republic.

Check out the media's Muslim propaganda of a terror-supporting Hamas proxy as a "leading Muslim advocacy group" .... so is al qaeda, for that matter.

INDIANAPOLIS — A leading Muslim advocacy group is calling on Indiana legislators to reject a proposal a bill that would deny recognition of the Islamic legal system Sharia in the state.

The Tribune-Star of Terre Haute reports that Republican state Rep. Bruce Borders plans to introduce a bill saying the state "does not recognize Sharia law."

The Council on American-Islamic Relations said Tuesday that it has written all members of the Indiana General Assembly, urging them not to consider such a bill.

The group says the proposal is a "fear-mongering" attack on Islam and "un-American to its core." It says Sharia is a guide to Islamic religious practice and is similar to those I other religious traditions.

Missing character in kids' literature: Muslims

We rank at the bottom in Math and Science of all industrialized nations. We spend the most per child and rank 27th and 29th respectively among industrialized nations. The public schools have stopped teaching cursive writing. They are dumbing down of our kids.

So what's their answer? Islamic lies and proselytizing. Increasing the idea Muslims as separate, different, supremacist .....special.

Home school. It's the only answer. The left controls the culture, the media, the public school -- it's a chokehold.

Minnesota educators struggle to find books, especially fiction, depicting Muslim young people in America. NORMAN DRAPER, Star Tribune

As the Muslim student population grows in Minnesota, some educators detect a glaring gap: a dearth of books the students can relate to and from which others can learn.

"There wasn't a whole lot in our library that provided a sense of 'this is what's normal,'" said Julie Scullen, a reading intervention specialist at Northdale Middle School in Coon Rapids, where she took stock of books about Muslims growing up in America.

When colleague Beth Braun, a Northdale media specialist, launched a full-blown national search, she didn't have much luck, either.

"The books are more about what it's like to live in another country and be a Muslim, or what it's like to be from a war-torn nation, not what it's like to be a teenager in America and be a Muslim," Braun said. "Those books are few and far between."

Librarians in some other school districts tell a similar tale.

"I have really not come across anything," said Linda Goering, library media specialist at Robbinsdale Middle School.

Many educators say it's critical for students to have books in which they can see themselves.

"The absence of such stories leads to poor grades in school, feelings of loneliness and alienation, and low self-esteem," said Shamma, who is working on an anthology of Muslim literature directed at middle-school-age students.

Uh, no. A worthless education leads to poor grades. We didn't need this crap 20, 30, 50, or even 75 years ago.

Leah Larson, media specialist at Richfield Middle School, sees an appetite for such books. She pointed to a novel in her media center, "Does My Head Look Big in This?", about an 11th-grade Muslim girl growing up in Australia who decides to wear the hijab, the traditional Muslim head covering, full time.

"I just can't keep it on the shelf," Larson said of the book.

"We have tons of books about Islam. However, the fiction is harder to find. ... If there are any smart American authors, they'll start writing books like this."

At Northdale Middle School, in the Anoka-Hennepin district, Scullen said the idea of getting more books aimed at Muslim kids "has been brewing in my head for a couple of years."

In September, she read an article citing the need to help students learn about the different cultures represented by their classmates. Using an $800 grant from the Anoka-Hennepin Educational Foundation, Braun and Scullen ordered 30 to 40 books for their library.
